I'm on the wall about this one. I can see some of his points, but I am an "everything in moderation" person, so talk of high dosing does not sound right to me. Also, since there are no legal or regulated definitions of "Pharmaceutical grade fish oil" nobody should be calling their fish oil that, not even the author in my opinion.

Love this book! The no-fat diet of the 1990s just about killed me, and that is when I learned all about the health benefits of omega-3 fatty acids. Not all fat is bad! This book explains this in great detail, and anyone who wants to feel better should read it. Dietary unsaturated fat is vital for excellent health!

Good quick and short book about the benefits of fish oil and it’s specific nutrient profile of fatty acids which can positively impact many aspects of health and bodily function - certainly one of the pioneering books of its time considering when it was written and it’s validity confirmed by further research of present times...

My boyfriend loaned me this book and it was a very good read. I learned a ton from it.

After reading the book, I was rabid to find the omega fish oil to see if it could help me with chronic pain in my hips and lower back. Within 3 days of consistently taking the fish oil, I found that I rarely had pain in my hips and I no longer had to have a hot pad and 3 tylenol night time to get to sleep.

I was very gratified to begin with the fish oil. NOW I have to start on the diet.

I was expecting the book to be dry and uninteresting, but I learned a lot and was very interested in the content.

This book is essential reading for anyone who is seriously interested in dieting for weight loss and long-term good health. I found the diet difficult to implement in its pure form, but with a few tweaks and alterations to simplify my food shopping list, and a few concessions on higher GI carbohydrates, I ended up on a diet (combined with exercise) on which I lost over a stone in weight. I contacted Barry Sears through his website: he answered all of my technical questions in detail. For this reason I award “Omega Rx Zone: The Miracle of the New High-Dose Fish Oil” five stars.
