I’m not normal.
I’ll never be normal.
But spending my life hiding behind closed curtains just doesn’t work anymore. I want to live, really live. Like feel warm sand beneath my toes, the sun on my face, and laughter inside my heart, live.
Stepping outside was the hard part.
Falling for my neighbor, easier than I thought. But finding out my neighbor has a twin brother that wants me too?
I’m not sure I’m ready for both of them, but I can’t give either of them up.

What happens when they find out how broken I am? That I’ll never be normal?

We all live in the illusions of our own realities. Cassandra's reality lies between the quiet bridge of complex and chaotic. A single mother to two amazing boys, graphic artist, industrial sewer, author, avid home gardener, baker, reader, and introvert, her hats are many. A refined goth, she's obsessed with tattoos, shoes, hair dye, chocolate, metal and hip-hop music, and all things dark and creepy except bugs, those are too creepy. Each of her books contains a piece of her reality. Tiny fragments laced with forbidden romance, defining miniature slices of her truths.

I felt so many emotions when it came to Asra, as my heart actually hurt for her because she felt so real. She's really been going through the fire, and it's left burn scars that's for sure. Luckily, she finally stops isolating, and she meets her new neighbor, who she starts to fall for, but holy hell, he has a twin who also wants her. It's a journey that really did my heart in, but it's totally worth it however I'll never tell. There's a lot of heat in these pages to balance out all the emotional torment, but trust me, Asra, Breckin, and Brendan definitely are meant to be in each other's lives however nothing worth it is ever easy is it?! I'm going to have to keep this review short & sweet before I end up giving things away because I really want to since it's such a FANTASTIC piece of goodness, and everyone needs Finding Summer in their lives! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Whilst this was a MFM read, with sexy twins it was so much more than that.

Asra is a complex character who has been diagnosed with a chronic illness that can be brought on by alcohol, stress or the sun. Most people don't understand and she lives a lonely life because of this. Her days are turned upside down for the most part so she can avoid most of the sun in the day. As a book cover designer she can work as flexibly as she needs to.

When Breckin and Brendan move in next door, her life becomes even more as she is attracted to them but they do things that annoy her greatly. So much so that they become borderline enemies. But the men want Asra in their lives, in their hearts and in their beds. When they find out about Asra's condition they are incredible - we need more Brekin and Brendan's in the world. They were kind, considering, caring and protective but they were equally keen to show Asra at every opportunity how they felt for her both inside and outside the bedroom. They found ways to give her experiences that didn't trigger her illness but most importantly they didn't treat her any less and instead they treated her some more.

Whilst this was an MFM read and there is plenty of heat and sizzle coming out but this was more than that. This was a sweet and mature read.

Finding Summer by Cassandra Cripps is another story that’s part of the Summers in Seaside series and a fun read that will capture your heart and soul. If you love strong heroines and men that show her just how amazing she truly is—then this is one for you!

Asra has lived a hard life, finding solace in solitude and content to stay hidden away. Until she meets her sexy new neighbor and instantly feels a connection for him. And his twin brother…What ensues next is a story filled with steamy heat, string connections and of course inner turmoil ad Asra, Breckin, and Brendan try to make sense of it all and just maybe make it work.

Cripps wrote this story so beautifully you can’t help but feel for Asra, and ache right along with her. The strength she exudes is remarkable, and only makes you love her even more as a character. And needless to say that Breckin and Brendan will wreck havoc on your emotions right along with Asra so be prepared for quite the emotional ride as they each search for their HEA and overcome the obstacles in their way. Because the three of them together? Utter perfection!!!

Overall this MFM story will take you on an emotional heartbreaking journey that is packed full of humor, sweet beautiful connections and hot steamy chemistry that is sure to please any romance reader!

I enjoyed the story. My heart was breaking for all she had to go through.

I am happy for her HEA. I just would have loved a little bit more meat to the story. The smexy times are steamy, but it felt as if most of the story were around her illness (which I dont mind) and smexy times. I would have loved a bit more story between them. Maybe even a little more extended epilogue of what happened further down the line.

You can always tell when an author bring in something personal into a story. You really get to stand in their shoes. A good support system can make a big difference in any situation. I am glad this story brought awareness to an illness, I dont think a lot of people are aware of. I had to go read up myself to understand what the illness is about. Job well done. My first book from the author, but will not be my last.

This wonderful read offered the perfect blend of heart-melting emotion and temperature rising steam to keep me practically glued to the pages. I could relate to Asra in so many ways and boy did my heart ache for her. As for Breckin and Brendan, my emotions spent a lot of the time feeling like they were being torn in two. If you find yourself feeling the same way, I'll tell you to try to have patience. It is a journey. There are things to discover along the way and any struggle you have to endure will be so, so worth it in the end. This is a funny, heartbreaking, sweet, hot, poignant and endlessly swoon worth romance that is so much more than you might think. This is my candid, freely posted review.

Unconditional Love

I was finally able to finish this read after starting it months ago. It did not disappoint. Love comes in many forms and can strike at any given moment. We don’t always have control over our heart’s desires and we either answer it or reject it. Asra’s plight pulled at my heartstrings. Rejection can cause so much heartbreak and make you want to crawl into a shell, never wanting to leave. But along comes someone who wants to hide with you and break you out of your cocoon. The freedom that follows is beautiful. The author wrote this story from the heart and every emotion was felt. Overall, an amazing read.

Asra is hiding away from the world. She has scars that won’t heal so easily. She wants out. She wants the world to see her not her looks. Emotions and tears come to mind. Her neighbor is about to show her the world. Breckin and Brendan are twins and are amazing with her and the best part they both want her. Super sweet book and a Sprinkle of hotties.

Asra lives a hard life and has had some heartbreaking things happen to her because of a disease she has & it’s horrible. She deserves to live life, but she can’t live it like normal people. & the people around her act like she’s exaggerating or being a freak. They just don’t get it. Until she meets her neighbors & they change everything. This is such a great book! I loved it & deff recommend it!

This book had me going through so many emotions. Each of these characters had a lot they were going through. Asra, she was a great character who has been through so much and twin brothers B&B, which I like to call them, had their own issues. But these three really loved eachother.

Loved it

I loved the story. The love they all share is great! I loved how she believed that because of her sickness no one could ever love her. But then she found two guys who not only loved her but would do anything for her.

Little did I know that the last book that I read in this Seaside series would knock me for a loop. I did not want to put this wonderful story of heartbreak, fun, love and pure out of the park SEX. It is hilarious and you will always wonder what is around the corner with all players. Cassandra is able to turn a personal experience into a work of art. It is my first book of hers but won't be the last!

Talk about a story to make you feel all the emotions. While it’s a scorcher it is also so much more. The heat and attraction will make you sweat and need a cold shower…or alone time. Knowing what Asra tackles every day and the support Breckin and Brendan give her makes this one heck of a page turner. The three of them together are dynamite and help each other more than they know. Words cannot express how incredible of a story this truly is. All I can say is you need to click this one right now.

This may be an MFM romance, but it deals with a lot more than the steamy side of a story. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of steam; however, the author blends the perfect mix of steam and substance to make this a wonderful story.

Astra is going through something personal and it breaks my heart to know that people suffer from the same thing Asra does. She exudes strength and independence, but like all of us, she wants to be loved for exactly who she is.

She gets her wish with two twin brothers, Breckin and Brendan. The brothers take a liking to Asra, and slowly, as they begin to discover more about her, they both fall for her, and she falls for them.

Their relationship is tested to the max, and while there is a low angst feel, there is definitely some stuff that will tug at your heartstrings. This book is so cute, funny, and sexy. It is romantic, it is hot, and you should read it if that's your thing!

I really enjoyed this read from the start. My heart twisted for Asra, her illness, the way she has to handle things in her life and seeing how that has changed the things she can do. I'd have liked a bit more information on that a bit earlier in the read as I was trying to figure out what was wrong. I loved the way she interacted with Breckin and Brendan, it was a great back and forth and showed just how different the twins are from each other. There's a lot of spice throughout the read. The story worked well, flowed and kept me involved in their lives. The bits of emotion mixed in added so much and hit hard at times.

build a Sandcastle

This was an amazing read! I really enjoyed it. I like that there was no magic cure. That they love her regardless that she’s sick. That they want to help and protect. The ending kind of feels a little rushed and incomplete, so I’m hoping we get more with these characters because I just love them. But a brilliant read.
