i spent hoopla credits on this and it did not disappoint Things i learned - Wow ai is crazy - I totally knew the third graders this is targeted at - that poor teacher when the kid walks in and is like “i learned the words limb, possessed and medium this weekend !”
This is a nonfiction book for kids about haunted dolls. There is a table of contents, short chapters, questions to ask yourself at the end, a glossary, and an index. At the beginning you learn about haunted dolls and why people might like them. Then you learn about the 2 most famous haunted dolls, Robert and Annabelle, and the Island of Dolls, which sounds as creepy as it is. Had no idea about Robert. That was new, as was the island, but Robert without his paint looks so creepy. Well, actually I don't know how he looked with paint on, but if he's painted like a clown, I feel like I would still find him creepy. Great read overall.
More detailed than some other offerings in this format and audience age range; I appreciated the additional background and context for some famous haunted dolls which other books mentioned without much in the way of description.
