I still clearly remember the day I stood at the traffic lights in downtown Melbourne. There she was, sitting in her car, waiting for the lights to change green. Tapping her fingers impatiently.
Something inside my head went off. Kaboom! An idea formed, and became the beginning of a novel.
Instead of sitting patiently at the lights, she was nervous, extremely anxious as she was being pursued by killers. The next thing she knew, an angry, crazy man was slamming her windscreen with a sledgehammer and she was running for her life.
Yes, the life of a writer is quite unique.

A Cheryl consegue deixar nosso coração quentinho nesse inverno em Dewberry Lane e no friozinho aqui da região!!!
Aquele estranho em seu restaurante, não poderia ter perdido a diligência em melhor hora. Phill precisava de um emprego para se manter durante a semana enquanto esperava a diligência para chegar ao seus destino. Merry precisava de uma ajuda em seu restaurante, e Phill parecia ser o cara certo no momento exato!
A parceria deles foi um sucesso. Não poderia ser o contrário, afinal ele é um Chef! Contudo, o início do inverno trás consigo ventos fortes, e querer lutar com eles é praticamente impossível.
Assim Phillip e Merry, após alguns dias cozinhando para a cidade e se conhecendo, se encontram em uma situação que não esperavam, estão apaixonados.
Mas ele precisa ir embora, afinal havia assinado um contrato de trabalho e não poderia voltar atrás.
Dessa forma, a Cheryl nos apresenta um romance tão gostoso quanto as tortas que Phillip faz parecem ser, ao mesmo tempo amargo e doloroso quanto ter um coração partido.
Embora o livro tenha como título o nome Merry, o livro é mais sobre Phillip do que ela, mas nem por isso, o romance perde seu toque e seu encanto!

Merry is the fifth installment from Cheryl Wright’s series, Christmas on Dewberry Lane. I thought it was a fabulous addition to the series. I enjoyed going back in time to this sweet, heartwarming and clean romance. I loved Merry right from the start and loved the chemistry she had with Phil. This is a kind of story that just makes me smile from start to finish. I loved it.
I am giving Merry a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical romance. As always, I will be looking forward to reading more by Cheryl Wright.

Thank goodness for Mrs Grayson!
We love Merry, we have met her numerous times in earlier books and she is the heart of Dewberry lane. With a welcoming smile, a huge heart and a bubbly personality she hides her loneliness well, but the minute Phil see's her he sees the exhaustion and knows he can help....if only he knew the heartache this would bring them both. To find your soul mate but know you cannot be together.....so many tears!
A sweet read on Kindle Unlimited, this HEA really did need a Christmas miracle.

Phil estava a caminho do seu novo emprego, quando o palco o deixou em uma pequena cidade, ele estava nada menos do que apresentável quando a dona da lanchonete o encontrou, mas tudo mudou quando um banho e roupas limpas foram colocadas. Merry era dona da lanchonete, e estava cansada e precisava urgente de alguem para lhe ajudar. Ele tinha aceitado sua oferta, mas seu pequeno e grande segredo foi o presente prefeito para melhorar tudo, e claro ganhar seu coração. Tudo com uma ajudinha ficou mais que perfeito. Bjo.

💞 Merry and Phil 💞
Oh my heart! What a romantic story! Loved the instant romance between these two! However, Phil was bound to his new employer. He had fallen in love with Merry but couldn’t stay in Dewberry. He was contracted to fulfill his commitment.
But, of course leave it to Mrs. Grayson, who made sure he had a way out!
The Saturday night dance scene was my favorite 💕💕💕

A lovely ending
So sorry this is the end of this series. Have enjoyed every book in it. They are simply heart warming stories of soulmates meeting and joining to make a massive difference in everyone's lives. Mrs Grayson is a treat. If you like simple, clean, small town stories, these books are for you. Always leave you feeling good.

Five stars, this was different typ.e if storyline.. No lords, or proper ladies.. Story of hard work, Merry ranv diner and she gave Phil a job, cause he didn't make the stage.. Phil, was a chef, and my helping Merry they fell in love.. But there was complications with Phil.. Eventually the crisis was overcome and the ending was good
