After overcoming a myriad of challenges, Tsugumi and Itsuki adopt a baby boy named Koki. As time passes, their bond as a family only grows stronger. Meanwhile, the day approaches for their next task—to tell their son that he was adopted.
This series is truly amazing. It’s got so much heart. I think EVERYONE should read it. Perfect World is so much more than just a romance story. It’s got so many beautiful and encouraging messages about life and perseverance. I can’t even put it all into words.
I believe everyone can take something away from it. The mangaka did such an amazing job researching and piecing together this story together. This series even contains real life stories from some disabled individuals. The ending was one of the most satisfying endings that I have read in awhile. Please give this series a try.
Overall this is a 5 star series for sure, but this last book was a bit of a jumble. The author was obviously trying to tie up various storylines and side characters which didn’t make for a very smooth final volume. I also would have liked to see a bit more romance/love between our main couple here instead of just family life. BUT seriously one of the best manga series I’ve read. 100%.

The last few volumes definitely made up for how messy the middle of this series was! I honestly didn't know if I would love this series because I was just so upset by different actions of the characters and such, but these last few volumes, especially this one, were so deeply heartfelt and very beautiful.
I learned SO much when reading this series! From the unknowing (or knowing) discrimination against those who have a disability, to the disdain that many(?) seem to have when an able-bodied person dates someone who has a disability, to the importance of reexamining what YOU want and caring for YOUR happiness, to the very real struggles after getting married (especially when it comes to pregnancy), this was an emotional rollercoaster of a series.
I was glad to see some past characters because I was worried their ending wouldn't be so happy, but glad the mangaka showed they too were happy!
Also, I think the opening line of this manga perfectly wraps up the series: "If being in a relationship meant facing obstacles, could you handle it?" Sometimes our leads did not handle things well, but they grew, learned, and overcame, and thankful I was with them on this journey we call life. <3
Very thankful I read this series and hope the friend I am passing it on to will be just as impacted as I was! <3
The last few volumes of this series dragged a little for me, nevertheless I found the ending very satisfying. I really admire the way the author did not romanticize the characters' disabilities, not the obstacles that this couple had to face. I'm glad this manga exists and was translated into English!
Finally a happy ending for them! after everything they've been though the series finally end in this volume with a happy and hopeful ending, thank God.
I loved how much I learned from this series & how much of a different perspective it gave me. This final volume did feel a little bit all over since there were multiple stories that needed to be tied up. An enjoyable series that’s informative and makes you think about things you may not have otherwise.
Well, I randomly picked up the final two volumes in this series after marking it DNF because I couldn’t deal with the ridiculous love triangles (yes, plural). I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed these last two volumes and seeing the characters happy (finally!!). I teared up at a couple parts and I honestly wish the rest of the series had been like this so I could buy the physical copies of the series. (I won’t be because I for reasons listed before, but I won’t say I wasn’t tempted to at least by these last two volumes.) I’m very familiar with adoptions from China and South Korea, but not at all familiar with Japan’s adoption process, so it was interesting to learn more about it and see adoption talked about in a serious, but positive manner.

What a beautiful conclusion to this gorgeous manga series!
I loved seeing these two finally getting their happy ending, even though there were moments of grief and sadness thrown in there. We get to see how everyone's lives changed and evolved, but we especially get to see the main characters tackling parenting together.
This is such a gorgeous story and I can't recommend it enough!
What a beautiful ending to this series! I will miss all the characters dearly, but I’m happy to know this isn’t exactly the end. I will be looking into watching the movie and finding the tv adaptation/motion comic. If you are looking for a cute, yet inspiring story with loveable characters, please consider picking this series up 💞

The perfect way to end this series. I was definitely crying throughout this volume (and really the whole series). I’ve got so much love for this series and I think everyone needs to pick it up!
Such a perfect ending. I’m going to be real, this one had a rough start and I kept asking myself why I was continuing. But I am so glad I did, these characters deserved to have their full stories told and to have a beautiful happy ending. ❤️
4.5⭐️ This last volume nicely wrapped up the story and I think the author really did what she set out to do. I’m so happy for all the characters who were able to find happiness in their lives.
Overall series rating 4.75⭐️ This series is almost perfect, to be honest in so many ways it is perfect. The representation that this series sets out to achieve is wonderful and heartbreaking and so hopeful. It does not hold back punches on the reality of having a disability and how that affects someone’s life and relationships. In saying that the actual romantic relationship between the main couple felt a little rushed when they finally got back together. I would have loved to have see more time with them together exploring their relationship. However overall I think the actual romance plot was still well done but it could have been even better if we got to see the chemistry between them a bit more. This is not your typical adult romance manga, sure there is romance but that’s not the main focus. And I think you should know that before going in. However it’s a super important and eye opening read.
A lovely, emotional finish to the series. As a whole, this series struggled a bit, especially in the middle, but it always maintained a sense of heart. The author put the protagonists through a LOT, but they do get their happily ever after.
This volume rates a full 5 stars from me. It did make me cry, but the overall tone wasn’t sad. I’m happy that we got to revisit some other characters. The Obon festival story arc was especially touching.
As a whole, I would give the entire series 4 stars. I recommend it, but just know that it does kind of turn into The Love Boat for a couple of volumes before getting back on track. Still, it’s got a lot going for it and it was great spending time with these characters. 👍👍
