Mishka
Angels, demons… the afterlife.
I’d always thought they were bull****.
Until all my misguided beliefs were proven wrong by an infuriating, flippant a**hole with horns who has no concept of boundaries.
Summoning him was never the plan, especially since I’m not willing to do what it takes to send him back.
If I’ve learned anything from Loch, it’s that preconceived ideas are usually false, and the truth is much messier than fables.
The theory of good and evil is flawed.
Nothing is that simple.

Loch
The only side of human nature I’ve ever encountered is vile and perverse, depraved and cruel.
However, Mishka’s none of those things.
She’s an insufferable, snarky creature who makes me question everything I know about myself.
The longer I’m with her in this world, the less desperate I am to return to mine, which is absurd.
I am son of Asmodeus.
A prince spawned from lust to torment the damned.
The mortal realm is not where I belong.

Incubastard deals with Christian lore that does not align with the Bible. It is completely fictional. If this will make you uncomfortable, please do not read this book.

This was my first Charity B. book and I really enjoyed it.

I will say that her way of describing things sometimes annoyed me...I'm making this up, but something like this: "I wrapped my fluffy pink robe around my shoulders and then pushed aside the lime green lace curtains to look out the frosted window." Or something. But I'm being petty. Moving on.

I really liked the world she created here and her spin on witchcraft and the story of the Fall from Heaven. Being that John Milton's Paradise Lost is my favorite piece of literature ever, this really appealed to me.

And the fact that it was done in one of my smutty erotic books?

description

Impressive.

Now I must also say that the whole time I was reading this, I was reminded of Karen Marie Moning's The Immortal Highlander. Both male leads were immortal beings temporarily stuck in the mortal realm...both were invisible a lot of the time...both were super charismatic, etc. I loved that book, so it was fun to read something similar many years later.

But I digress.

The male lead in this book will definitely not be everyone's cup of tea. He does some stuff that had me...well...

description

AKA: Really fucking gross.

And yet here was me:

description

In fact, I accepted a lot of things from the hero in this book that I wouldn't necessarily always accept from others. But somehow the author made the hero endearing...even when he was doing something seriously disgusting. And to be clear: I'm not talking about his sexuality or sexual interest. I'm talking about stuff that involves...blood. And horns. And crevices. And what he did with Leena (whom I loved by the way). And that's all I will say about that.

Anyway, I really enjoyed this and plan on checking out more from this author.

Shout out to my friend Leigh for bringing this one to my attention and recommending it to me.

PS I wish the author had gone with another title. I feel like this one doesn’t match the quality of the book. But that’s just my opinion, maybe others disagree.

Edited: This book is probably a no-go for safety gang folks, FYI. PM me if you have questions.

This book was so fucking amazing!!!! This is my first time reading a book by this author and I'm a totally fangirling for charity B.!!!! I guess this is her first paranormal romance and I hope like hell ( no pun intended) that this won't be her last! I knew I had to read this book after seeing the cover reveal !!! This cover is so wicked and beautiful at the same time! From the first page to the last I was totally captived by her storytelling and characters that when I came to the last page I was already jonesing for more from this paranormal world she has created. If you follow my reviews you know that demons with horns are so my thing!! And not only does Loch have horns but he has fangs and beautiful black wings as well ! And his personality is so bad boy with one liners that had me fucking doubled over laughing and the things he could do with his mouth and body simply sinful !!! I loved Mishka so friggin much with great comebacks and enough snark to make me instantly Fall in love with her as well. The chemistry and sexual banter between these two was fabulous and the sex... Steamy, kinky and totally toe curling sex that leaves you sweaty and spent! A great storyline
With loads of great secondary characters like leena, mishka's best friend forever who cast the spell that brought Loch one of the demons of lust to their door, and I loved her so much and her personality was quirky and cool as shit! and who I ugly cried for as if she was my best friend and then ended up cheering for and so happy for her happy ending at the end of the book. Leena's story unfortunately is just one of many, and I hope I live to see a world where her and others like her will find acceptance and the love they so richly deserve! I also liked vilum another hot demon bad boy who's very self loving but still very interesting as well. I loved the twist on the whole heaven and hell concept and the main players . if you don't have hang ups about stuff like this check this book out! Also their is a rape that happens but it isn't detailed as it is happening just the aftermath which still tore my heart out. Theirs also punishment and details of how both rapists and molesters are dealt within hell. To tell you the truth I hope people like rapists and child molesters are dealt with as they are in this book! They are the true monsters and how Loch and the others took care of all of them didn't make me bat a eye not once!! And I took get delight in how Loch took care of good old Tim !! I don't want to give anymore away about this story but I will tell you that I read a lot of paranormal romance and all its genre's and this slightly dark paranormal romance was one of my all time favorites and if I could have given it more then 5 stars I would have! and I hope charity b. Is busy writing more! I love this chic and I'm a fangirl forever! Until next time Luv's💕💋

Angels & demons: Oh My. Yes Indeed. Incubastrad Is the first PNR from this author, and she killed it. Not only is this an epic book, but she also gave us a glimpse of her vivid imagination and painted a realistic picture of their world, and you feel like you are there with them.

I do not have a solid color on my dark scale; each dark part is different. At times there are some black parts while others are gray. Read your trigger warnings. Take it seriously. I am not discouraging you from this book, it is not for everyone, and there is no safety. And that is okay.

Mishka finds herself at a low point in her life; her friend, Leena, convinces Mishka to summon someone for her. Mishka has never believed in the occult and decided to pacifier her friend. Who do they summon, you ask? Loch, a devilish, cocky, incubus Prince. Mishka wants him to go away and go on with her life; Loch is there to stay until he fulfills why he is summoned.

Although this book is not as dark as the author's previous work, there are still moments of me questioning my morals and saying, "What the hell" and "Oh, I love it. " Plus, "YES!!!!!" And "That is different."

Mishka and Loch have an undeniable bond and sexual chemistry hotter than Hell (pun intended). I equally love these two. Loch has met his match with her. Mishka tells Loch how it is and puts him in his place. He spews comebacks that egg her on.

“Your bitchiness makes my cock hard.”

There are some sex scenes I would never have imagined. Others we have read in some of the author's past books. One that is not often in books, and I quickly find myself enjoying and seemed to add an extra level of darkness. Those are just some examples; add blood and gore, and It's pure perfection.

It's enjoyable to read the author's unique twist on Heaven, Hell, demons, and Angles; She even added their language with translation. Plus, she sprinkled some seven sins into the mix. Which I am always a sucker for. There are some real-world undertones and how horrific some people react. I was cheering Loch on for his reaction and how Michka stands up for what was right.

If you love PNR and Dark romance: I highly recommend Incubastard. Charity B. is a one-click author who pushes your boundaries and writes outside the box.

Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Standalone
POV: First Person - Dual
Rating:

Mishka didn’t believe in the occult but indulge in it when her best friend tried to help with her love life. Unbeknownst to them, it summoned Loch, a devilishly handsome incubus Prince, and she couldn’t get rid of him as long the condition was not fulfilled.

I didn’t know what to expect when starting this book but certainly not this funny and heartwarming story. This book was a breath of fresh air, and I loved the author’s take on heaven vs. hell, and good vs. evil. I also appreciate the diversity featured in this book.

His horns are perfect for gripping, and I don’t hold back my moan when his hot tongue dips inside me, massaging multiple places at once.

For a non-believer, Mishka took everything quite well. Loch’s interactions in her world were amusing with how some things were lost in translation. And I absolutely loved Loch and Pygmy.
I enjoyed the overall storyline and the world the author created.

Incubastard is a story of adapting and finding one’s own happiness. It would appeal to readers looking for paranormal Romance with a play on Biblical lore.

This was both everything and nothing like I expected. When I think Charity B, I think dark, fucked up and delicious with a hint of cuteness. This was all those things but the cute factor overshadowed everything else.

Why does every guy caught with his dick inside someone else always say something along the lines of; ‘you don’t understand?’ Give me a break.

“What don’t I understand, Harry?! Is she sick, and you’re just checking her temperature with your dick?”

I’ve always been a fan of revenge so in an abstract kind of way I’ve always been interested in demons. The fact that they punish the morally corrupt is absolutely appealing.

I especially appreciate that Prince Loch is a demon that punishes rapists and pedophiles. When they are barely punished on earth, I always hope for karma. Or even better … eternal damnation.

In the words of that lady from the diner in When Harry Met Sally; ‘I’ll have what she’s having.’ Seriously, where the hell do I find that book?!

This is surprisingly cute and funny. Not that I don’t think demons have a sense of humor, just look at Hitler, Trump or Kim Jong un.

This book points out something vital that we sometimes forget. The MMC is a demon, yet he’s not the villain, the monster in this story. The most monstrous entity in our world is humankind.

Nice twist! I really love that!

Loch’s interesting attributes sound way better then any blue alien. He’s got the horns (which are ‘sensitive’) and instead of bumps, rings that contract repetitively and a split tongue (can you say cunnilingus?). Plus, that’s nothing compared to what he can do without even touching you. Now who’s with me in finding this freaking book?!

I’d say Charity’s foray into PNR was a huge success! I hope there’s more in her future, I especially wouldn’t mind more adventures with Loch and Mishka.

Really weird book, and an almost dnf 😅 tons of triggers and content warnings that you can find at the beginning of the book, but one thing that was a bit misleading was the "no cheating between MFC and MMC" part. There is a detailed scene of him getting a bj from the heroine's best friend, and also doing some other stuff with her😬. It was before they were officially together but that whole scene was pretty gross, and many may consider it as cheating. Also, later on, when an ex f-buddy of the hero's tries coming onto him, he barely resisted. He claimed he wouldn't have let it go on and actually cheat on the heroine when she walks in on him and the ow unzipping him and constantly touching him, but I don't have that much faith in him that he wouldn't have cheated🤷

That’s Loch for you! And that’s exactly what I felt while reading this amazing story! I happily embraced this new take on what I normally believe being otherworldly.

If there is one author who can give me WTF moments and enjoying the hell out of it, that’s Charity B. This is like nothing I have ever read before and nowhere near what I normally consider “my thing” and yet it couldn’t be more perfect!

The masterfully delivered story-telling brings you into an outer world that is impossible to leave even after closing the book. It definitely makes you wish things could really work the way they are portrayed here. Charity’s mind concocted the ultimate perfect match between Angeles and Demons, sins and punishments, right and wrong. Forget what you knew before and embrace this new endearing perspective.

Charity depicts every detail, even the most intricate ones, perfectly, the descriptions here are so vivid I had no difficulty in picturing everything in my mind.

The level of chemistry and steam between Loch and Mishka is hotter than hell, and the amount of laugh I had while reading this just confirms how much I enjoyed this story. The side characters are also well written and developed, giving you the perfect understanding and fitting beautifully into the narratation. This is the perfect combination of paranormal elements, sexiness, sassy, gory, addicting… in one word… unputdownable

Thank you Charity for giving us Loch I really wish I could read more of this crazy fascinating universe. I would totally urge my fellow readers to give this story a chance, you have the author’s warning before going in, so you know beforehand if this is for you or not, once you’re comfortable with reading forward don’t hesitate even if you think this is not your vibe. I have a feeling you will thorougly enjoy this journey 😉

In an effort to heal from a recent trauma, Mishka agrees to participate in an incantation led by her best friend. Though she doesn’t expect anything to happen, Mishka is shocked when a stranger appears claiming to fulfill his summons. To his dismay, Loch is cast to Earth surrounded by humans and Mishka isn’t making his task simple. As Loch and Mishka learn more about each other, and as the attraction becomes mutual, their worlds collide.

“You know, you may want to consider getting a hobby.”
“I have one.” He gives me a wink and smile, a telltale sign he’s about to say something inappropriate. “Trying to get in that pussy of yours.”

Narrated in dual POV, this story begins with setting a solid foundation for Mishka’s life and for Loch’s infernal world. Immediately, they clash due to Mishka’s snark and fierce independence, but Loch has a way with words and certain abilities that make him quite appealing. Together they are like fire and ice which leads to combustible scenes.

“You have the glowing tattoos there too, and it’s … a lot bigger than I expected.”

Being immersed in this plot was effortless and entertaining on multiple levels due to diverse characters, a unique storyline and significant character development. Loch’s sexuality is magnetic and vibrates through the pages. Additionally, his reactions and statements had me laughing so hard at times. As for Mishka, she isn’t a pushover and remains protective of those she loves. Leena also adds to the story and I was rooting for her to find acceptance. Lastly, the creative interpretation of angels, demons and gods was so intriguing that I didn’t want to leave this crafted world.

Incubastard is dark romance about redefining one’s fate. This book would appeal to those seeking a paranormal romance in a unique and otherworldly setting.

Triggers below on this book because there is alot!!! So be warned when jumping into this..it wasn't as dark as her other books but it does have some scenes.. This one was okay for me i enjoyed it but it's okay.

Mishka had few rough years but she had few hard hours when she catches her bf cheating and finds out she's prego.. an accident happens and she's dealing with a Miscarriage. But her best friend Leena is doing some newbie witchcraft to summon someone for her but that spell was done wrong and that's how horny manwhore smooth talking demon name Loch ends up in her house giving her a magical orgasms 🤣🤣🤣 the banter between them was good I'm glad Mishka didn't give it up right away and kept her walls up trying to figure out wtf happened... but she still felt betrayed when she found out Loch did stuff with her BFF (answer more down) he does understand and tries to make it up to her. Beside the time they spend together I love Loch exploring the human world and the things he got into... was funny and glad be did what he did to those who are evil. There's a scene with well some horns and evil jackasses..

Now time is ticking with a secert dropped on them but Loch or Mishka don't wanna say goodbye but it looks like higher ppls want them to stop.... guess they don't know Loch or Mishka would do anything to keep eachother.

Also the author should change a warning on her website the cheating part Loch kinda did sorta cheat even if they weren't together yet but he did have her bff Leena give him a bj.. to me it still kinda counts as cheating since they already met and were forming a bond...

Angst, cheating (h's ex cheats and tech H gets a bj from the bff) om drama, secondary characters, drama, sexy times, no virgins  (H is a manwhore with demons this is before meeting h)

"I implore the flame : guide him to me.
Lust the lock, passion the key.
From the deepest of depths to the highest of skies.
Answer the call from between my thighs."

Charity B. did it again! Every book she crafts transports me in an incredible atmosphere where love dances with depravity, sweetness blends with taboo, right mixes with wrong.

“I’m gonna fuck the holiness right out of this pussy.”

In Incubastard, we are plunged into a story that made me equally laugh and cringe, fan myself and scream.

Loch is an Incubus summoned by Leena to bring some comfort to her best friend Mishka. Needless to say that nothing went as expected and the arrival of the demon is going to rock the girls' world.

I absolutely loved how clueless Loch was about many human habits. The wisdom and knowledge is age confers doesn't help him when faced to the sarcasm of the deeply scared, albeit very mischievous women.

"Death by demon dick.

As per her signature style, Mrs B. played with the boundaries of what his acceptable but thanks to the PNR approach of her tale, she was able to once again make me accept (and even look forward to) the unthinkable. That is magic, brilliant.

Heed the warning, Incubastard is not for the faint of hearts. But if you decide to brave them, you'll absolutely fall in love with this Demon and his Angel.

This was unexpectedly entertaining to read. Light, funny and sexy at times and dark, gritty and very explicit others. Me having a thing for demon/angels paranormal books, this is by far my first rodeo in this kind of setting,so maybe I was expecting a bit more world building and new ideas. But as I previously said I really liked the authors writing style.
Loch, the lust demon, I liked his character, he has this twisted dirty and perverted sense of humour , totally comfortable with himself and his "profession", plus he is sexy and he knows it. I think I see Loch in Maze's character from tv series Lucifer.
Mishka didn't had a easy life, latest events even more so, so one night she indulges her bestie Leena to do a ritual of summoning , obviously she didn't take it seriously but Loch appears in her kitchen and he is there to "perform" .
I liked the dynamic between them. She is sassy, stubborn and bitchy and he is always horny and with a mischievous smirk on his face, basically they both can dish it out but also take it.
I was a bit put off by all the "ho" "bitch" etc endearments between Mishka and Leena, nothing against it, just not my cup of tea.
Overall entertaining short book, lots of sex and sexy talk (incubus duhh) and it kept my attention which is something , considering lately I have 5 DNF out of 10🙄🙄😑

"Death by demon dick."

I mean do I need to say more. Like seriously I was really impressed by this book. Especially with this being the Authors first PNR story.
The friendship between our 2 heroes plus the roommate was so 𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐍 beautiful. But Loch and Pigmy topped everything up, it's like the rest of world ceased to exist every time they were in the same room.

I highly recommend this one. It's 100% worth the read. The World building is really detailed and we get a very unique take on demons/angels and hell/heaven.
Please read TW before reading. There are several. Is this my darkest book? No, but it could be someone else's and darkness is subjective to the reader. On my dark scale, it teeters on grey-ish. It's not as dark as I thought it would have been, at least for me, i guess my mind is kinda deviated at this point.

Incubastard was my first book from this author and it was awesome. Mishka and Loch were great together, their banter was so funny and their chemistry was smoking. Mishka's best friend Leena was another character in the story that I loved and although she went through a hard time I loved her HEA. The twist was one I didn't see coming but I loved. Now this book would have been 5 stars for me but I hated the scene between Leena and Loch. I had no issue with Loch's questionable morals and I total understood his needs as a Demon but I wish he had went to another woman. Overall this was a really enjoyable book and I would definitely read another PNR book from this author.

I'm VERY impressed. You kinda get Charity B's glimpse of darkness but most of the times, fuck, it was so sweet! I would never in a million years believe you if you told me the same author that wrote RIP and Skeleton King wrote this book.

The hero is an incubus demon prince, that was summoned to Earth after these two best friends called him using a magic spell book. Technically, to get back to hell, he had to bang one of the girls (because they used her blood as part of the ritual to get him to Earth). So that's the basic premise.

Now, what's so special about this book? One, I have to say because of the darkness that is Charity B. No one could write gory smut like she can. Though this book didn't have a lot of those bloody graphic scenes (well in my opinion, it doesn't. But for first timers though, I think you can handle it.) Second, I think she managed to also inject a few scenes of lightness in this book. It was another aspect that I didn't expect especially knowing her from her dark pitch black standalones. I really appreciate these parts and I also think she did a good job balancing those with the smut and the torture scenes. Third, I love the characters. For once, I can honestly say they're likable and not problematic at all (well, side note again, in compared to her previous works of course).

Anyhow, all I can say is that it exceeds my expectations and this book just proves the ability for her to write other genre hybrids. And I can't wait to read more from her (not that I plan not to, gory smut is still her turfs).

This book.....

I love Charity B.'s writing! But this book..... honestly, it was even better than I hoped it would be.

Yes, it's different than her other books... somehow 'lighter', but it still had that characteristic 'Charity B.-feel' I love so much!! 😍 It was sooo GOOD!!!

Paranormal/fantasy isn't exactly my favorite genre, but when Charity writes it.... well, then I'll read it! 😃 In the beginning I had a little trouble imagining the world Loch came from (but that's always a problem for me with otherworldly stories) and I had to go back to the handy 'Term Decoder' a few times.
But dayam... how does Charity even come up with this unique, entertaining, deliciously wicked and above all creative version of Heaven & Hell, Angels and Demons??? 😊

Much better than 'the real thing' as we know it. 🤣
I know it sounds stupid (I know demons and angels don't exist 😏 at least, I've never met one!) but this story felt so 'real' and 'realistic'! Amazing...

Really... I could go on and on and on about how much I 💖LOVED💖 this book, but I won't! 🤪
If "Christian lore that does not align with the Bible" (everything is completely fictional!) doesn't make you uncomfortable: READ THIS BOOK!!! Just DO it!!

You won't be disappointed!! Trust me...!

Incubastard belongs, without any doubt, on my 'ab-fav-5plus-stars' shelf! I will definitely re-read this book!
I love all of Charity's books... but I think, for me, this one is the best so far!
BTW, it would be a shame, downright evil, if there won't be a sequel! 😁 **hint**
I was one of the lucky ones to get to read this early! Thank you for the ARC Charity B.!! 🥰

Pretty sad about this. I was actually so excited cause I loved R.I.P. by her. Ugh. Didn’t care for any of the characters or the story or world building or any of it. The smut was horrid considering it had potential to be so great since they both have abilities and stamina and whatever. I didn’t believe in them being in love for a second nor did they have any chemistry. Also I cannot picture what any of them look like. And it could’ve just been so much cooler and way better written. It has potential it was just done really poorly. So much more could’ve happened and there was potential for other parts of the plot to be enticing but it was just badly written and the characters gave me nothing. Love loch with pygmy tho lol. It was also like crazy predictable ahah

Overall, this was a fun story and I’m glad I read it.

I really don’t understand making up names and words for what is basically the Christian mythos. It just seemed unnecessary.

Also, I’m still not sure how I feel about an MMC getting it on with other people. It’s not a why choose or poly couple so…

**Beta reader and ARC Review** I received a free advanced copy of this book for beta reading purposes. I am voluntarily leaving this review.

This is a very dark romance novel. There is incest but in a “we’re all celestial beings and are therefore all related” kind of way. If you have triggers, particularly for miscarriage, rape, dark religious and occult themes, violence and/or murder, please investigate thoroughly before reading!

IncuBastard by Charity B. follows the story of Mischka, who along with her quirky best friend Leena, try to perform a spell to draw the perfect man and instead accidentally summon the sexy-as-sin demon Loch. IncuBastard is like a crossover between the worlds of Lucifer and Shadowhunters, but with a whole lot more blood and a whole lot more sex! Many familiar names make an appearance, such as Lucifer, Lilith, Asmodeus, Michael, and even the big G-O-D.

IncuBastard is full of devilishly fun dialogue, the sex scenes are hot as hell, and the wicked are punished in graphically violent and creative ways. I never expected to enjoy a scene where a man dies while a demon f***s a horn wound in his chest cavity while smoking a cigarette, and yet if you knew what he did, you’d be rooting for the demon too! What a ride!! IncuBastard also dabbles with necrophilia and somnophilia, so don’t say you weren’t warned. If you like the idea of sex in demon form (forced orgasms, edging, horns and a forked tongue) and graphic revenge fantasies, then oh boy, is this the book for you!!

The best friends are great fun, throwing around terms like “ho-nut” and “awhorable”, and Loch’s language and actions are reminiscent of Tom Ellis’s Lucifer (from Lucifer TV Series). There is demon language woven into the story, but with enough context that it is easy to follow for someone like me, who is more used to light-fantasy. Not only is the main story fantastic, but there are also wonderful sub-plots to get lost in. Leena is a Trans Woman, her character and story arc are handled with the utmost respect and sensitivity whilst still describing some of the horrors that Trans men and women face today. The heroine and the hero stand up for LGBTQ+ individuals, and Mischka advocates for change in how the ‘slaves’ of the demon world are treated. As much as this is a horror romance, in many ways it’s a better world than the one we live in today.

This is the first book of Charity B.’s that I have read, and after being able to read this, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!! Charity B., thank you for the opportunity to beta read your novel. After falling completely in love with your story, I couldn’t not leave a review!!

Having totally burned out on the genre, I haven’t read paranormal or fantasy in years. However, because Charity B is one of my top 3 favorite authors ever (based on how incredibly innovative and fun her books always are), I gave this a chance. Holy hell, would I have missed out if I hadn’t!!!!!

Even if you aren’t a paranormal or fantasy fan, if you enjoy Charity’s books, you will LOVE this one! It’s all Charity with the usual LOL banter and twisted humor, yet it’s also her most clever, eloquent work yet! She takes Christian lore and twists/explains it in a way you will never see coming!!!

Usually, I can’t relate to paranormal characters because they’re too unrealistic to me, yet Loch (the “IncuBastard), is smoldering hot and a freaking riot!!!! Although I still know that a demon isn’t going to show up in my living room, I didn’t need to believe that was possible to enjoy and connect with this fantastic character or feel that the world he came from was genuine. Not to mention the other characters who were even more entertaining! I just wanted more and more!! I was truly sad when the story came to an end - it was THAT good!!!

Congratulations, Charity! Trying something new really, really paid off… for both of us!!!

This book is really freaking good and closer to 4.5 stars overall. I picked it up because I was in the mood for some monster smut, and it definitely provided there—although the monstrous aspects are more monster-lite as the monstrous character is a demon who can take human form. But the 🍆 and 👅 are extra special 🙃

The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the pacing feels a bit off at times and some of the plot twists felt a bit forced (still fun and good though) and a bit too out of the blue. Still, these are very minor complaints and I quite enjoyed it!

Also, a million thumbs up to Leena’s character. She was my favorite. I love her.

As a side note, this one has some dark themes (the author has detailed content warnings on their website). The demon character is an incubus demon who punishes assaulters and abusers in a myriad of ways specific to an incubus demon’s abilities (re: sexual in nature) and those scenes are described graphically and at times, at length. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone new to dark romance and testing the waters, but if you’re a dark romance veteran … eat your heart out! 😘

I absolutely loved this. I was in the middle of a book slump when it was released and I picked it up and could not put it down.

Y’all may know that this author writes some dark and fucked up content (looking at you Skeleton King) and she says at the beginning of this book that it’s not as dark as her usual stuff which is definitely true.
But If you haven’t read her work, then you have nothing to compare it to and should go in expecting dark, cause it’s certainly is. There’s some content that would most definitely bother some people so check trigger warnings.

That being said, the tone is light throughout a lot of the book and I had a blast reading it.

Loch is so damn cute it kills me. He’s a demon on earth for the first time in like 100,000 years and his lack of knowledge of the modern world is just precious. Don’t get my wrong, dude also does some twisted stuff but he’s literally a demon who’s job is to torture evil souls in what we would call hell, so like… what do you expect?
Did I mention he’s basically a sex demon? Did the title give it away? 😂
It’s hot as hell. He’s got a split tongue and horns and some fun extra stuff going on with his….. anyway, it’s a good time, that’s all I’m saying.
I liked our FMC in this too, as well as her BFF and their relationship.
And this brings me to a unique aspect of this book I haven’t read before. Our FMC’s best friend Leena is trans and how it’s affected her life and the way people treat her plays decent part of the story. Now, I can’t speak on this with any authority, so please correct me if I’m wrong, but felt like this character and aspect of the story was handled well and loved seeing the representation.
Though if you are trans I would imagine there are parts of this book that could be especially triggering to you, so be aware going in.

All in all I seriously loved this one. And I think it’s a great October read.

Well, that was a blast.
You've never read Charity B like this before. While still having the trademark epic bits of horror, gore and depravity, this was a surprisingly sweet and steamy paranormal romance that kept me captivated from start to finish.
It's been a long time since I read a good and unique paranormal romance but this hit the spot perfectly. I've read my share of demon stories before, but this one had some new turns to it and I just know ya'll will love Loch as much as I did.
Seriously, pick this one up.

unfortunately i can't get past him having oral sex with her BFF , if it was someone else maybe but not her.
for me is cheating even if they weren't involved yet, he choose to go with her, i get his needs , but he could've go after someone else, getting only a BJ you know, but he kissed, also goed down on her too. so FUCK NO.
he just could've stay there in Micka's room and do it by hand.

When you buy a book of rituals to summon a hot guy with a big dick, it’s just for fun right?

When Mishka finds her boyfriend in bed with another woman, she flees the house and ends up in a car accident, losing her pregnancy in the process.
Her BFF and roommate, Leena, does what she does best, and tries to get Mishka out of bed and happy again with a ritual to find herself a new man.
Only they summon a demon named Loch.

Loch is all demon and fucking hilarious.
He can’t go back to his realm till he has sex with his summoner, Mishka. Mishka won’t have anything to do with it though and throughout his time in earth, there’s some kidnapping (for the better good), murder (again, for the better good), and some hilarious forced public orgasms.

“I’m gonna fuck the holiness right out of this pussy.”

Some drama and plot twists between angels and demons, it’s such a great book full of spice.
It’s a standalone with the cutest HEA ever.

📍This book has characters from the LGBTQ community. I’m announcing this because I know many authors share horrible reviews from people trashing characters that aren’t white cis characters. So If you’re transphobic, please don’t start this book.

📍Triggers which may be spoilers!📍

Miscarriage. Which the blood is used in a ritual.
Graphic murder
Graphic depictions of rape (the demons torture these people)
Incest
Blood play

Can someone find me a spell book so I can summon a lust demon from hell please?

*****
Rating: 5 stars
Steam: 3 Flames
Genre: Dark / PNR (Angels / Demons)
Triggers: Yes
*****
This book was just WOW! I am in love with a lust demon named Loch. Anti-heroes are my crack. I really do love a bad boy, but give me a bad boy with a seriously twisted sense of justice and my ovaries will explode. Loch met all the ovary busting criteria!

Loch was summoned to earth by Mishka, and unfortunately he can’t go back to hell until he has “fulfilled” the terms of his summoning. Mishka is just getting over a terrible betrayal and break up and the last thing she was expecting was a snarky know it all demon invading her space.

This book was dark (yep there are some twisted things in this book that are not for everyone), it is funny (I may have laughed at totally inappropriate times, but Loch had a way of turning gore into humor), it is twisted (yeah, I may have laughed inappropriately at that too), it is gut wrenching (humanity can suck!), and it is steamy (really steam, I mean lust is what Loch spawned from).

This book covers topics that can be difficult for some to read about so please READ THE CONTENT WARNING!

Loch and Mishka had chemistry that was like adding a match to gasoline, EXPLOSIVE! The banter back and forth between these two had me cracking up and the storyline was a unique, twisted, bloody, depraved look at angels, demons, heaven, hell and so much more. I mean this was such a truly imaginative book! Charity B took me on a journey through heaven, hell, and earth and she did it PHENOMENALLY!

So, here’s the question…Do I recommend it? For all my dark PNR lovers out there with a tolerance for triggers.. YES! A thousand times YES. Will I keep reading? Absolutely, Charity B has taken me on some fantastic, imaginative, and dark journeys and I want more. This book is now on my 2021 Favorites list! READ IT!
