Charlie Evans leads an ordinary life. Boring in fact, by many people's standards. So, when she unexpectedly finds herself tutoring a student on set at Pinewood Studios, the last thing she imagines is that the lead actress is none other than global superstar, Robyn White. The same Robyn White her three closest friends have lusted after since they first met back at university a decade-and-a-half ago.
Robyn White might be renowned for her enormous smile on the red carpet and her happy-go-lucky attitude, however it’s all a well-constructed front. Behind the façade is a woman who struggles to fit in, not least because she has a secret, one which on-set tutor Charlie Evans threatens to expose.
With tensions rising all around them, will Charlie and Robyn's attraction reach blockbuster heights or be discarded on the cutting room floor?
Enjoying it. I like the way the novel has been set up. Although 35% in the mains have had very little interaction with each other, and what they have had has not gone well for them. However, and this is the bit I like, we, the readers know why one has acted the way she has. When the mains first get together on a surface level, it is so well written, I am swept along with the feelings. Then they are not. I feel the suddenness, as if I am one of the mains. All goes well, the baddy acts against type but like the mains, I am confused but accepting. I am livid when it plays out!! I was disappointed in the break up however if the route to make up goes the way I think it will then it’s great! It did, it is great. 4 stars because the pacing was unusual, the writer taking time to set the mains up as individuals. Good set of secondary characters too.
