A dead actress. A big secret. And Allie Fox is on the case.
Tired of couch-surfing with friends, PI Allie Fox heads to the beach on an overcast, off-season day to do some house hunting.
But when she stumbles onto a dead body in an empty rental, she's plunged straight into another case of foul play.
Up and coming actor Aisha Carter's stay in Emerald Isle had been a secret, and only a select few knew she was here. When her agent hires Allie to investigate, she finds the actor was keeping everyone in the dark, and hiding much more than her whereabouts.
As she digs deeper into Aisha's past, nothing seems to add up. Then Allie uncovers a shocking clue that puts everyone she loves on the killer's list.
Sunsets, Scripts, and Murder continues the story of the Crystal Coast Case series. If you like Melinda Leigh, Lisa Gray, or Claire McGowan, you'll love A. M. Ialacci's gripping story of bright lights, big secrets, and murder.
Growing up on a steady diet of Murder She Wrote and Nancy Drew, it wasn't until Anna left her twenty-year teaching career that she realized she might be able to write her own mystery. Single mom to a teenager on the autism spectrum, and living in a multigenerational household, she loves the beach, reading Scandinavian crime fiction, and binging on Netflix. Anna is the winner of the Occasions, Just Write Writing Contest 2018, and a runner up in the Writer's Domain One Sentence Story Contest 2018.
PI Allie is back! She doesn’t need to find the bodies, they find her!!! I loved this character and I love the care she gives her autistic brother ( being a parent of a special needs adult) this resonates within my heart! I have read all the books in this series and I like them better and better. Allie is and will always be on my TBR list.
Sunsets, Scripts and Murder is part of A.M. Ialacci's Crystal Coast series. The location itself becomes a character in these books. Allie Fox is once again on a case to solve a murder. Murder seems to follow her! I love the characters and mysteries that keep you guessing in all the books in this series! You won't be disappointed! I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.
I really enjoy Ms. Ialacci's writing style and all the complicated characters, victims and suspects she introduces us to. She always has me guessing all the way to the end.
SUNSETS, SCRIPTS, & MURDER is the fourth installment in I.M Ialacci's Crystal Coast series, a mystery series with lots of suspects and complicated characters These stories are fast reads because because once started it's so hard to put them down.
Trouble continues to find P.I. Allie Fox. As she and Mike look for a suitable home to replace the one the Balkins destroyed, Allie finds a body. Soon after she's hired to investigate the murder and knee deep in suspects.
So much is happening you may need to hold on tight. Finding suspects and clues is difficult when the lead police investigator and the D.A. are against her.
Allie and her autistic brother have been living with their friends when one morning she sees a suspicious vehicle across the street. It looks a lot like the one that ran her off the road during her last case. A few days later the Balkin's trademark insignia shows up on Mike's truck tires - the Balkins are definitely back. With so many against her, it's a good thing Allie has friends
Will Allie and Mike ever be able to progress their relationship to where it belongs or will Allie’s career choice break them?
I did receive an advance copy of this five star story from the author. And this is my honest review of this mesmerizing story that grabbed me at the first page and kept me turning them.
If you’ve been reading with A Crystal Coast Case series by A. M. Ialacci, you’ll want to read the next installment called Sunsets, Scripts and Murder. I loved it!
I have enjoyed them all so far and if you haven’t read them, I highly recommend the whole series. You could start with this latest book. I think they all do well as stand alone books but, the relationships develop along the way and you might miss out on that.
The main character is Allie and she has developed a career as a Private Investigator. It fits her well. She is the guardian of her autistic brother, has boyfriend and other friends you will enjoy. She also has a reputation for finding dead bodies! Oh my.
I love a good mystery and seeing that mystery solved. These books are fast reads because I simply can’t put them down. This series is right up my alley. If you’re like me, give this series a try. I think you will agree with me.
Allie Fox and her boyfriend Mike are looking at houses in the Emerald Isles area. The real estate agent is having trouble with a lock box she needs to pickup and suggests Allie and Mike take a walk on the beach. On the way back they are taking a set of stairs from the beach and were unsure if it was the correct set. Once they reach the top, Allie sees a body on the floor of the house. She has Mike call the police and she goes in to see if the woman is still alive. The Emerald Isles police arrive and allie is ready to leave when a friend calls and tells her a Glen Price wants to hire her to determine what happened. Allie takes the case and between her and the police set out to find the killer.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving it free from Book Funnel.
What a delightful cozy mystery! Set in North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, which runs from Atlantic Beach to Emerald Isle, this is the story of private investigator Allie Fox, who stumbles across an unexpected body and is subsequently hired to solve the murder. While juggling house-hunting, a burgeoning romance, and responsibilities for her autistic brother, Allie must follow numerous twists and turns to detangle the threads that have led to this death. Deftly plotted and written with a light touch, this is the perfect book to take on your next beach adventure. This is the fourth book in a series revolving around Allie, but I read it as a standalone. Enjoy!
I enjoyed this book. The author has a way of bringing this story to life through a fast moving and believable plot. PI Allie Fox looks in the windows of what appears to be an abandoned house on the beach and sees a dead woman’s body. Hired to investigate the death, she finds lots of secrets among the woman’s friends and a few secrets the actress herself kept. This is a great book, and anyone who likes to read along while a murder is solved will like this book.
A.M. Ialacci continues this phenomenal series with the next installment in the Crystal Coast Series. I have been enthralled with these books since the very first and this is no exception. This suspenseful mystery will have you staying up late at night to finish.
You will fall in love with the characters. Allie and Ryan are still my favorites.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.
I love the new book in A.M.Ialacci's Allie Fox stories. Allie is a P.I. and always figures out the case. Good mystery with believable characters and great twists so you don't figure out who did it until the end. I have read and enjoyed entire series but it can be read as a standalone. Thank you A.M.Ialacci for having me as a member of your ARC Team. This review is solely my opinion
Allie and Mike are ready to take their relationship to the next level...house hunting together. But finding a corpse by accident in and empty house was not on the list. And Allie can not let this slide. The questions and adventures build to an exciting and surprising ending that begins the saga all over again. Highly Recommended.
First chapter grabbed me right away…love reading about places near me…can just imagine the Hollywood set who film in and around Wilmington visiting Emerald Isle. Allie and her brother Ryan are heartwarming characters surrounded by close friends who help her out of love. And occasionally out of the jams she gets into! Nicely done A.M. Ialacci! Look forward to more Allie adventures!
I received an ARC of this book. I thoroughly enjoyed this absorbing detective mystery. I love the Allie Fox series. Great characters and puzzling mysteries make these books impossible to put down. Highly recommend!

I love how this book has love, family, and mystery all in one. The main character finds herself in the middle of things and without even trying. Great read!
