Dnf first book. She’s weak and supposed to be a boss of a big company???

The characters really don’t make any sense. She’s supposed to be a big boss of a family company. But her mummy controls what she wears and how her make up is done???? It doesn’t make any sense! There is no way that she could be like that!

He’s not much better! He’s madly in love with her, but hasn’t seen her in ages? Then she goes to see him, to tell him she’s getting married to someone else. But she can only stay two hours. Why? She rushes home to go to bed! Why can’t she give more than that?

It’s all so crazy! Maybe the other books are better. I’m betting that they’re not.

It’s not just the plot though. The writing is terrible. Although I didn’t finish it, I didn’t care about her at all. I had no interest in her feelings or his! He’s written so badly it felt like he was a mannequin, in a shop window! He’s supposed to madly in love with her, yet he didn’t seem to care that she was getting married, even though he was going to propose?

I enjoyed this 5 book set........each character was truly a mixture of friendship, intrigue and love. The spice was perfect. The love and sexiness from beginning to end was the perfect touch to this story......
the billionaires and their Ladies each have and grow a great friendship ... their inner connections created a fabulous reading throughout the book. ..... from start to finish their were loads of twists and turns.....The stories have you the reader wishing you could join in on their adventures.... I think out of all the characters i would have loved to meet and hang out with Johnathan, for his desire to treat others as family, the trust and Loyalty reigns thru out the stories.........
Landon, seems to be a Hoot of a character wicked smart yet fit so well with Tinsley...... Jackson and Walker, even Nate and who can not want to be with Jim..........Each one of these characters with their women create a group who are loyal, determined, and exciting in the love scenarios... their individual stories take you on riveting adventures ... each story you hope as a reader to figure out what happened and who could have possibly murdered Cecelia ?? ........

This box set has five enticing stories that will have you happily reading for hours on end! They are exciting and boast five alpha men that are captivating that had me all caught up in their stories. My favorites are, "House of Cards", "Sleight of Hand", and "Running Hot". In the first book "House of Cards", Maggie's life has just been turned upside down. She has always tried to please everyone so when her father dies and makes her the heir, she has to marry in order to keep her grandfather's company together. Her mother has plans and will stop at nothing to have them come to fruition even trying to get her to marry her gay friend. When Maggie's crush who is also, he brother's best friend ask her to marry him, will she take a risk for herself? This brilliantly written story will have you from the first page. The next of my favorites is, "Sleight of Hand". In this book Tinsley has skills that Landon went after. He not only bought her company, but she is under him for the next ten years. Their chemistry will come under fire in so many ways in this story that will have you all hyped up and on edge from start to finish. The last of my favorites is, "Walker and Marcella are total opposites and their views of their parents run that way as well. Marcella considers being like her mother as a true testament of her character whereas Walker looks on his father with nothing but contempt. He and Marcella have a history, but he broke her heart, and she will never let him get that close to her again, but he is looking at running for governor and needs the ideal wife and Marcella channels just what he needs. When Marcella has some problems come her way, Walker is the one to come to her aide, but will that come with her losing her heart all over again? This story will keep you on edge from start to finish. I love Ainsley stories and only she can weave a tale that mesmerize and have you in awe! The characters are dynamic, and the detail given to the storylines draws you in with bated breath as it unfolds.

It was okay

This was like many others that are out nowadays... damaged, hot, billionaires that end up falling for the woman that is out of bounds or not their usual type etc. All the men are the typical Alpha type that are well hung and ripped, muscle wise. Of course, the series title told me exactly what I was in for and it did what it said on the tin. I was a bit bored at several points and as someone who has never played poker, I didn't understand some of it without googling it but that's not necessarily a bad point. The women, were quite strong in these books, which I applaud and are described well. Thankfully this author also didn't write the smut scenes where the women were physically scared or unable to take the man's size... which too many authors do nowadays. It always makes me laugh and not in a positive way. I felt like overall, these were an easy, mind numbing read, great for escapism and certainly not to be taken seriously. They didn't have me guessing or excited about the storyline and any reveals (ie Viviana) were not interesting enough to be honest. I wouldn't reread them and I'm undecided if I want to read anything else by this author. If you want easy reading and predictable, something that doesn't try too hard where you don't particularly want to get attached to characters or see character progression then books like these are great bedtime reading. This series doesn't have the same flaws, plot holes and typos that so many on Kindle have these days.

Loved this book!!! Five stars are not enough!

Everyone has their particular reading habits. Mine are short stories, mountain men and million/billionaires. Books that make me laugh, cry and unable to figure out who done it. This series of stories in this book, oh my gosh I was down right crying from book one! I couldn't figure out who done it at all. The two girls were so cute and you just wanted to protect them after everything they went through in their young lives. The descriptions were so good you could vision the poker games, the businesses, the homes, scenery and the people (good and bad). There's so much within this book, I'm never going to hit them all. As you can tell, I really enjoyed this book a lot! If you read it, I hope you'll enjoy it too. Written by Cindy :)

This was a DNF for me. I didn’t even finish the first book.

The two main characters were separated and didn’t interact for most of the book. It was frustrating to me to have the two love interests spend absolutely no time together really. The chapters rotated on the main characters and basically just showed what they did separately in their everyday lives instead of really showing them interacting with each other.

While I understand the characters lived in different states as well, I just felt they should have had more engagement instead of us seeing what they did separately everyday chapter after chapter.

I was so disappointed because this set got such high marks. Maybe I’m just the odd man out who didn’t love the series since I couldn’t even finish the first book so because of that, it gave me little to no hope for the other books, therefore I didn’t read them.

Wow what a collection!

When you start reading each one of these stories, they all kind of seems like girl captures guys interest and then something happens in it that you think oh my gosh that’s going in the relationship and then they end up getting together. However, this collection goes further than that and it became a page turner because I wanted to know what was gonna happen next if they were going to survive whatever it was, you had characters of the same people throughout the entire collection I’m just amazed at how wonderful this collection was definitely something you should read.

This book has it all 1800 pages of WOW

Wow is what I say. This five book set is a great read. Love how Ainsely St. Claire rolled from one story to the next. Each one could be read separately but the stories are all connected but one security company. Each book has its own drama and main characters but book one characters are in book five and wraps up events that have built up in previous books. Contains spicy scenes, some bondage, spankings, mental illness, bullying, underdogs make it big, corrupted politicians, military men, childhood sweet hearts, nerdy beautiful women meeting their sexy hunks, sexy nerds meets their beautiful curvy women

Loved the connections

I truly enjoyed these stories and loved all were connected as friends or associates. The spice was fantastic and each book contributed to the mystery that occurred in book one. Very well done but the reason I didn't a five rating is because by the time we get to Nate and Lily, the author seemed to not want to end the mystery or decide how to end it So it got repetitive with moving Nate and family from place to place. Seemed plenty of time to complete the case rather than introduce new characters, emergency CPR and all that. Nothing was done with Lily's mother who may have benefited from the stroke research. Generally well done and kept my interest

Overall I rated the story as a 5 because some of the individual books were great, though others I struggled to finish. I didn’t like that there was what seemed like a a big cliffhanger as the last sentence of the first book, and then it was a very minor plot point in books 2-4. It was resolved in book 5, but it could have been included in book 1 in a different way if it wasn’t going to be a major consideration for book 2. It felt like I wasn’t even reading the same series at first.

This was a new author for me, and I will likely read more from Ainsley St Clair in the future.

Capidavating

I would recommend to my friends and family. I couldn't put it down.
I loved how all the billionaires had a great friendship /connection throughout the book.
Lots of twists and turns.
I would love to meet a Jonathan or a Langdon, or maybe a Jackson or possible a Walker, or even a Nate? Let's not forget Jim

Hated the first book, but once I got passed that one the others were great! The box set was so easy to read on Kindle Unlimited, just seamlessly going from one book to the next was nice. The only reason I didn’t give it full starts was because of the first book. She was spineless and he wasn’t much better. Their relationship wasn’t believable or interesting.

I loved this series!!! Such an amazing writer. I laughed, cried and was engrossed in every story!! My only critique is in the epilogue of the last book, showdown, it says that William's sister, Maggie, is married to Jonathon Best but actually it's Christopher is the brother not William.
Otherwise amazing writing!!!

great Series

Loved them all

What a great series! I laughed, I cried, and and I definitely swooned quite a few times. These books were sexy yet suspenseful. Would definitely recommend to anyone that loves romance and HEA with a bit of intrigue.

Loved all of the books but they think Tinsley and Lilly were my favourites. Enjoyed how the stories were in order so you could follow the nursery of Cecelia and how it unfolded.
