This story is of a career engrossed girl named Rose and her personal turmoil. Her friendship and marriage serves as sub-plots and reveals the next part of the story.

The story has three primary characters, Rose, Tonya and Alvin. Rose and Tonya are roomates and best friends. Rose is suffering from some sort of a mental disorder due to which she starts acting like the character she reads in a book or watches in a movie. She works as Managing Editor in 'The Truth' which is a daily newspaper. Alvin is also employed in 'The Truth' as an Editor-in-chief. Rose initially starts envying him as she was promised to be promoted to that position, but then falls for him and they get married. However, things start getting upturned afterwards as a series of incidents take place.
The story is a combination of crime mystery with a hint of fantasy.
The story is well-plotted and well-written with a smooth flow throughout the book and it’s commendable on part of the author to have included so many twists and turns in so less pages which makes it a gripping read. Also, the theme of the book is quite unique and interesting and the ending was unpredictable for me and tied the loose ends very well
However, character development was not up to the mark and could have been better. Also, the epilogue got me a bit confused and I felt that it was unnecessarily added.
The writing style is simple and lucid and the language is easy and beginner friendly
Overall, it was a good, short and intriguing read and I would recommend everyone to give this book a try. Even for beginners, it would be a good book to pick as it is a page turner and can be easily finished within one sitting.

I am in a reading slump so I couldn't read many books, so I thought to pick some short reads to get back to reading eventually, so I have picked this book up. So the story starts with a mysterious incident that our protagonists Rose and Tonya, had witnessed, and from there on, the author has left us on a cliffhanger. Later, Rose has married Alvin, and when they thought things were going good, she had a miscarriage and doubted Alvin and what happened to Alvin after that? But did Alvin play any role in her miscarriage, or is there anyone else behind this, or did Rose's mental condition affect her to think like these? (I don't want to give any spoilers)

Why did Rose go to jail? What was the reason for her miscarriage? What is the mental condition that Rose is suffering from? To know the answers to the above questions, you should read the book.

Coming to the language, it is very beginner-friendly, and also, as the book is short, readers can complete reading it within a sitting. The plot is unique, and the character development is also significant.

The hype around this book has been unquestionable and, admittedly, that made me both eager to get my hands on it and terrified to read it. I mean, what if I was in college and one of my friends dies and comes back in the night over my doors? Or what if a character from the book comes all of a sudden to life and sits next to me?
What if...?
The book offers a very strong vibe throughout the read where the protagonist again brings a new sight and a serious expectation from the tale which actually meets up well.
With multiple characters in life and in mind, things turn a little confusing but what I've come across in this book with the title CHARACTERS, I've experienced something which I never have witnessed ever before. I knew this one was a must-read, so I was ready to set myself and dive in. That said, I had an altogether more personal, ulterior motive for wanting to read this book. Fighting the wrong ones and the ones who hurt us, are both completely different yet somehow similar things in themselves.
One can sense a scenario of peaceful breezes taking place through the cover page of the book and as the book unveils things from the initial pages through a smooth and crispy narration, the book turns out to be a competitive read in terms of thrill it carries.
With an appealing manner used to narrate the tale in order to make the reader enroll herself to slip into the depth of the book, is quite commendable and appreciable. The pace of the book and the characterization are both done on professional level basis where the author also makes sure to keep the engagement level of the story, kind of fresh and active. I liked the plotline executed with simple twists and alluring turns in the book.

Characters is a short read that talks about Rose and Tonya who are best friends ever since they started sharing apartment.
Tonya is a normal person just like us but when it comes to rose, there's something that makes her abnormal especially when she reads or watches movie.
With her abnormal behaviour disorder she begins her marital life only to witness the things crashing down in an ugly way.
But What is the abnormal behaviour of Rose ?
It is a short read that I finished in one-sitting.
The title plays the vital role in the story.
The Author has truly come up with the unique theme.
I stayed curious in every single page but my disappointment was at Epilogue.
The story ended well but the Author in order to add one more twist has took out the joy of thriller.
The story is brilliant right from the start but end up confusing.
Throughout the book I really enjoyed reading about Rose..
Her friendship with Tonya was something I admired.
The disorder that Rose had gave me Psychological thriller vibes and It kept me hooked.
The ending was unpredictable.
All my assumptions were proved wrong.
The work profile of Rose's husband was impressive but I didn't like the events that occured with him.
With less number of pages the Author has offered a potential thriller to the readers.
Overall it was a good read that could have been much better if epilogue is excluded.

Rose and Tonya are roommates and best friends. Only Tonya is aware of a rare mental condition that Rose has. When Rose falls in love and decided to marry her supervisor, Alvin, Tonya has her doubts. Things go well for a while between Alvin and Rose, but when Rose has a miscarriage, she begins to suspect Alvin of foul play. Are Rose's doubts real or are they an infestation of her mental condition?
What I liked about the book:
-> The story keeps you hooked till the end.
-> It is at once thrilling and a scary read.
-> Almost all the characters are unpleasant, making us suspect everyone's motives.

"Characters" Story written by Arya Narrayan its a thriller story which makes us very curious to read. simple and very small book with lot of suspense's its like bunch of thrillers at one place.
Main story plot was Rose and Tonya both are sharing apartment. Tonya is a normal girl and Rose has very strange abnormal mental issues especially when she read, and watching movies. Rose was about to get promoted in her current position but very sadly that process has interrupted. this time rose and Alvin (her supervisor) became close they want to get married then rose married him the sudden twist was Alvin was killed by someone.
that has created a great impact in Rose's life. main thing was Tonya was only the person who knows about Rose mental condition.

First I feel like share what made me pick this book - title and cover-page are cool and attractive, but book description creates a vibe (we) readers share. When we read a book/story/movie we live (literally) in the story with the characters, this is a novella but builds a wonderful feel which made me pick the book.
The story begins with two friends Rose and Tonya, one is an editor of a daily newspaper The Truth and the other is an engineer. They share not only an apartment but also a beautiful emotional bond. The story begins with the entry of Alvin (Editor-in-Chief), office politics paves way to love and eventually a beautifully wedding. Everything looks colourful until a past enters the story, a psychological problem.

I was surprised to discover crazy twists and turns in just 48 pages. I have a practice of narrating the story I read to my friends and family, I just irritated them stopping at every twist and creating a hype. This thrilling page-turner should not be missed, fort it's a perfect story tool the very last page.

This one is a different read from usual. It is a short read with a page length of 48 pages. One can easily finish this in one sitting, and if you are new to reading this book will help you to perk up your interest; keeping you on track.
Now, starting with the plotline, it introduces us to two new characters, Rose and Tonya. Tonya is Rose’s roommate. Rose is expecting her promotion, but someone new was hired that disrupted the process. Over time Rose and Alvin shared many things, and eventually, the bond was developed. Rose got married, but things started to go downhill when Alvin was killed. Rose and her mental turmoil only added fuel in this case and, thus the tragedy started.
This is one thrilling yet scary read. So many beautiful twists had been woven into this plot making it the most memorable read. I have read other works of Arya Narrayan as well, and he never ceases to surprise his readers. I wish that his talent reaches places.

But it is always in our hands to choose the characters that we like.
But what if characters start controlling your life?
Characters is a brilliant story that talks about the rare Physiological disorder.
Just when I read the first few pages, I was hooked till the end.
The beginning I assumed to be the dream which surprisingly turns to reality.
This book also has a corporate set up where getting a promotion matters the most.
Meanwhile we also get to see a love bond.
Hence story seems to be a package that readers can ask for.
The character of Daughter in this book seemed mysterious right from the beginning.
As the title suggests, this book is not about the plot but it is all about characters.
The characters provide twists to the story one after the other that at some point I couldn't take it further.
I was again confused it the story is just a dream while reading about the wax dolls.
But ending clears Everything where we there's betrayal too.
Overall it is a good read with bit confusing plot.

Characters by author Arya Narrayan is basically a short fictional, thrilled and very engrossing story. Actually I was looking for short stories and found this book, the cover of this book is so attractive that I can't stopped myself to read out this and really it was a worth reading.

“Characters” by Arya Narayan is a short book of 48 pages. But the story is completely engrossing and that is the other reason why readers can complete it in a single sitting. As we go into the plotline, the author has given a very unique story to us. There are two major characters in the story named Rose and Tonya, both are roommates. It is likely to develop affection and care for a person you live with, similarly, these roommates share a good bond. Now Rose has a psychological condition and Tonya alone is aware of the fact. Then comes Alvin, Rose’s love interest and both decide to marry each other. And then comes the unexpected twist in the plot. Alvin is dead.

The CHARACTERS is a story that revolves around the two friends Rose and Tonya. It was a very short read that it just took an hour to complete the entire story.
Rose and Tonya were staying together in an apartment. Rose had an unusual mental condition for which she is being treated.
Rose, at her office, falls in love with Alvin who already has a daughter named Katherine. Everything was going fine until Rose's medical condition came into play! Alvin was murdered. Why? Who? How? - The rest of the story answers these questions.
I personally felt that the story had too many twists that they made it difficult to understand the flow. I got a clear idea almost towards the end of the book. Other than this, the story was good. It was a different try by the author. Can be recommended for a one time read!

The book "Character" is authored by ARYA NARRAYAN.....The story begins with two friends Rose and Tonya who are not just friends but rommates also..... They share a strong bond between them.... They both are working....One works for media and another is an engineer.....But Rose is suffering from a rare mental condition which only her best friend Tonya knows....Rose falls in love with with a guy named Alvin and they both get married soon.... Happiness was all around the newly wedded couple..... Everything was going smooth between both of them until her sickness comes into light and problems begins between the two....
To know what will happen next , do read the book.....

The story is between two friends Tonya and Rose. Tonya is the editor of a newspaper and her roommate Rose was an engineer. She was aware of her friend's mental state and she was unable to stop Rose for falling in love with their head Alvin. Their life turns to complicate after a tragic incident. Characters is an roller-coaster ride of emotions.
Speaking more about the book, the author's writing style was simple and lucid. Creating a story with lot of plot twists and details in just 48 pages is really a big talent. This book was a short-read with wonderful narration. Book cover is simple.
