Van is that college star that every guy wants to be and every girl wants to be with – every girl except Tess, his new tutor. The fact that he’s a hot pitcher, the big dog on campus destined for the major leagues, means nothing to her. I ain’t no holla back girl !!!

“Testosterone-filled-wildebeest?” I chuckle. “You know, I like that.” “I thought you might,” she groans. “I think I’m going to talk to the administration about changing the mascot from the Blue Devils to that.”

This is by far the funniest line I think I’ve ever read in a book. It was literally laugh out loud funny until the hot and fancy parts at least. The nerdy girl who falls in love with the bad boy jock is a trope as old as time but Jenna does it right. She gives Van a real personality which a lot of these book jocks lack.

Their chemistry even if they deny how they feel to each other and themselves does not matter. They are in love 🥰, kahoots, they are dangerously in love minus the danger and multiply the love ❤️.

This made me swoon so hard and it touched me in the ooopsies for exactly 45 seconds before I realized I am working and that’s not okay. I highly recommend this book and I’ve sent the link to my friends. Happy reading everyone !! 😍🥰😍😍

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Tess is ready to do what it takes to finish college especially being there on a scholarship and one of the stipulations is that she needs to tutor other students. Which is when she catches the attention of Van, he is the star of the campus and is used to having women drop at his feet and worship everything about him, but Tess is nothing like the type he is used to, and she has no intention of being another notch on the playboy’s bedpost. But it seems like Van has other ideas, will she be able to resist Van when he pulls out all the stops, is this more than just a game to him or will he break her heart?

Van is the MVP of his college’s baseball team and is a shoe in for the pros, getting a woman has never been an issue for him but that is until he meets Tess, the nerdy girl with curves he would kill to have in his arms. Although she tries to resist him, he can see the interest in her eyes and suddenly nothing is as important to him than getting the girl that was made just to be his. Will she be the one who gets away or will Van get all he has ever dreamed of?

I loved loved this book and as always Ms. Rose has hit a homerun. Van was vulnerable but only to Tess and she made him work for every moment of her attention. It was a fun, sweet and very hot read that I have no hesitation in recommending. 4.5* Read

Tess did not like Van at all in the beginning.. she found him smug, full of himself, an arrogant jock & insufferable. Sure she was attracted to him but how could a sexy popular jock like him really like a nerd girl like her. She does not believe he is sincere about his affections, that he is a player and only wants to get into her pants.
Van knew from first sight he wants her, she is the only woman who has not fallen at his feet and who stands up to him. She did not fall for his smooth words and hot sexy looks, but he knows she is the one woman who is ment for him and will be his future wife.

I love this one!

This story was really good. It captured my attention throughout the book. Plus this book cover is hot! Tess is smart nerdy girl. She is sassy, beautiful, and ambitious. She doesn't really have a social life because of her dedication to school. She is in for a surprise she did not expected. Van is a popular boy. He is a player on the field and off the field. He is charming, persistent, and handsome. He will get what he wants. In true Jenna fashion her writing was amazing. I finished reading this book in one sitting. Amazing work again Jenna Rose!

Wow, did our h came out swinging! From the beginning our story takes off and doesn't slow down. Both characters have their moments of sweetness and moments of frustration. HEA and all, they made it.

An H on the fast-track to greatness, he finds it amusing and arousing that our h didn't take his crap. In fact, she gave him no room to even try at first! Quickly they both realize that this is real and get together and stay together. I liked them both to a point but then grew frustrated with them both. Our h gave in too quickly considering the H's past with females and current comments made. I felt that she should have been more cautious to give up something you can only give up once. And our H....Oh, geez. Why, oh why do we constantly have to mention him with another female? Not romantic. He was respectful of her, thank goodness. Oh, and how I wish some characters got what was coming to them, but they never did.

Both of them were meant for one another. They both faced challenges in life. Our h did the right thing, trying to avoid him and any potential situation with him. And luckily our H did too-by not letting her!

disappointing

1/5 - Boring and predictable

Honestly I had high hopes for Tess. She started off impressive but gradually became a passive doormat. She actually regressed in character development and let herself get spoken to in such a vulgar way by her so-called love interest. The writing was juvenile and the storyline shallow. I get instalove and all that, but this wasn’t it. The author really needs to work on writing better female characters who aren’t in such a sniveling and pathetic state. It was clear that this was one of those popular guy falls for nerd who happens to be the first person to reject him kind of cliches. It’s the same bland ending each time.

I honestly started this book really excited because the MFC started out as an absolute girl boss and it was nice to see a confident MFC for once. However, as the story progressed, the MMC was only into her for her body and didn’t even ever say one good thing about her personality ever. During their first spicy scene, he was talking about how it would hurt her at first and he didn’t even give a crap that he was hurting the person he was supposed to care about. He literally says something along the lines of “I’m going to make her my own personal sex doll”. It makes me really sad for the women reading this who think it’s okay to be walked on like this, and it makes me even sadder for the writer to think that she was okay with someone reading this thinking it was acceptable, but also that she thought it was okay to have the MFC who is supposed to have self respect to turn into such a doormat. It’s teaching women the wrong lessons, and as women we need to uplift other women. Really sad book.

He is a player, a baseball future star that could have anything and anyone he wanted until... he met Tess, his new tutor. She was the complete opposite of him, excellent student, dedicated and responsible. Her opinion of him was really bad, thinking that he was an arrogant that only was playing and look at her as another trophy. Obviously, she was attracted to him but she needed to protect herself. How can he be attracted to a nerdy girl like her? Or, maybe it is possible? For him, at the beginning, she was a challenge. How she can resist him? But the challenge change to a real attraction. Now, she is not a challenge anymore, she is the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life. but, will she believe his real intentions?
I highly recommend this book! I loved!

4.5-stars for The Perfect Catch

Jenna Rose hit it out of the park in this opposites attract sports romance. Van and Tess are typical opposites, he's the hot, sexy pitcher headed to the pros and she the bookworm tutoring him in statistics but he ends up tutoring her in alot of other ways. Van and Tess had undeniable chemistry in this cute, fun novella length read. Definitely recommend to follow Van and Tess to their home run HEA!

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Tessa is a nerd that is determined to graduate with no distractions. Star college baseball player, Van wants Tessa as soon as he meets her.
The chemistry between Tessa and Van is clear to see and I liked them together.
I liked that Van wanted Tessa and he wasn’t quiet about it.
I liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

I thought that this was a great book. I loved Van and Tess together. Tess is sassy and can hold her own against the world but she has met her match in Van. Van is used to women falling for him left and right but when Tess challenges him, he know that he has finally met the woman for him. I really enjoyed the connection and the chemistry between these two. I can't wait to see what Ms. Jenna as in store for us next. I would recommend this book and Ms. Jenna as a great author.

I've always been a big fan of baseball so I totally loved this book! This was the perfect short story with characters that were made for each other. Van and Tess's story was the whole opposites attract he's the star athlete she's the nerdy girl but they strike sparks off of each other and had the kind of passion most people hope to find. I definitely recommend reading this book you'll be glad that you did.

Loved Tess and Van. Tess was the nerdy one, Van was the big guy on campus. While she was studying at the library one night, a group of baseball players came in making a lot of noise and dancing around.
Van was the leader and when he saw Tess, he told all the others to leave. He took one look at her and knew she was going to be his forever. He made a buddy change with him so she was his tutor. She didn’t want anything to do with him. After awhile she realized that he meant what he said about her being the only one he wanted.

Ok so I didn’t hate it so I finished and I rated it decently. But I don’t plan to read any more by this author. They are similar to Alexa Riley/Jessa Kane in the fact that they are short and dirty and sort of insta love I guess? But the dude in this one was sort of douchey and the girl was supposedly sweet but I didn’t really see it. What I love about the AR/JK books are the LOVE between the characters. The fierceness and no doubt that they are meant to be together. These books seem to be missing that.

Persistence may get you what you want.

I liked this short story a lot. It was totally over the top but entertaining although it definitely wasn’t realistic. The characters were interesting. Arianna turned out to be a good friend. Most of the story I wasn’t sure. Tess was smart and determined. Van was an egotistical jerk. The more time that he forced her to spend with him the less determined Tess became. Van’s appreciation of the way that Tess stood up to him and sassed him made him more likable. I liked their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Outrageous OTT jock Van knows a good thing when he sees it, and he spies Tess as being perfect for him. He’s so arrogant you gotta love him, liked Tess’s spunky attitude and gave as good as she got. Not intimidated by his stature, Tess is definitely a force of nature and beautiful inside and out. Fun storyline with a great HEA.

ARC Review of The Perfect Catch by Jenna Rose

A sporty romance that is out of the park. Van is a player who just loves playing the game, but when he meets Tess, his whole world is in for a curveball. Tess wants nothing to do with him, however, avoiding this college star has become a bit of a challenge as he tries to prove to her that she is his.
Ball room bliss, library shenanigans and crazy stalker cows! Happy reading!

Tess does not like jocks. That's especially true for Van. Van changed his math tutor with another player so that Tess could be his tutor. Tess issues a challenge to Van that he has no problems rising too. As they get to know each other, they both let down their walls but a stalker may cost them their happy ever after.

This short young-adult story shows Van, baseball player and Duke star, and Tess, a virginal young woman, innocent, but with a good head on her shoulders.
Van tries to flirt with her and she ignores his advances over and over, which Van is attracted to, so hid next mission in his life is to get Tess to fall at his feet.
Super entertaining, super hot. Practically perfect, it has left me wanting to read more.

I loved this one, it was a little lighter than Jenna Rose's stories normally are. Van and Tess match up so good together and the burn the pages up. My attention was grabbed from the first page and I did not want to put this book down. Dont miss out this is definitely a good one.

The One

Tess can't believe the nerve of Van and how obnoxious he is. When he inserts himself as her student to tutor she is furious.
Van won't give up on making Tess his. He knows the moment he sees her she is the one but she is going to make him work for it.

This is a great book and I love baseball so I loved it even more! Ms. Rose painted sexy, sweet picture with Van & Tess' story. The characters were perfect for each other. Their chemistry sizzled and their passion was off-the-charts. A great short story with a sweet HEA. Must read!

Enemies to lovers? Well not really, he wanted her the first time he saw her but she hated his arrogance. He did a lot of wooing, some of them underhanded .

He may be a jock but he is one smart jock, he managed to let her fall in love with her.

Ok read

I love this authors books for the most part. But sometimes the level of arrogance of the "hero" and how long it seems to take for them to realize that it is not winning the heroine, I'm flabbergasted.

What a delightful fantasy! I was taken in immediately! Their mutual admiration and suspecting being used was well written. One can’t help but root for their budding relationship! Very well done!
