An orphaned teenage boy who was once deemed talentless for becoming either a Mage or an Aura Master finds his life dramatically changed for the better after a Grimoire named Devourer forms contract of its own accord with him. The boy was no longer talentless – and on the contrary, had exceptional talent for becoming a Mage, an Aura Master and also a Tamer!
I am someone who reads xianxia and wuxia stories in his free time. My love for xianxia and wuxia stories made me want to write stories of xianxia genre. I will be adding elements into my stories, which I generally find missing in other xianxia stories to turn them into unique stories. I hope you enjoy it.
Kindly leave a review if you like my books. Every positive review boosts my morale and increases my writing speed which will lead to an early release of God Slayer Vol.4.
Desperately needed two things added to it. 1. Preview - of what happened in previous book especially when was so long since last book was released.. 2. Character's sheet. Let's be honest there are a lot of characters in this series & few have very similar name's, so not likely to rember most of them..
Some reasons why gave score did. (& are offers) #. Didn't like how bloodline done hear especially with it being able to leave on own and all, seemed more like another contract entity instead of bloodline. (+it kinda annoying) #. Too many contract made and way too easily I loved one that denied making contract with him for me one best parts in book. #. Lot of repeats hear for instance when said things like was shocked not heavenly tamer & so on. #. Just ended up sighing often in dissapoitment & frustration, with most contracts being male, and all having death, fire or both element types seems especially death element and undead... (there are a lot of offer cool and fun elements out there too.)
But did like read over all & struggle with star rating & giving a review at all. Am looking forward to book,3 just hope not so long a wait, and thank you author for book...
It's been a long dry spell, but KSY does it again. Straight off, the elephant in the room is: KSY isn't for everybody. His writing style is stilted. I'm not sure if that's because he comes from a non-english writing tradition or if it's just how he thinks, but it's like he's trying to pack five books worth of events into every book so the pace is frenetic and the characterization is sketched in and develops through events instead of descriptions. I, personally, find it a refreshing change of pace and I really enjoy reading what he writes. This entry in the series was a heck of a tome, and the protagonist grows from a baffled child being swept along by his companions into a determined youth who's being helped along. That's quite a bit of growth, and being able to show that means KSY is growing as an author too. 5 stars, definitely enjoyed, will reread.
This author is one of my favorite authors as all of his books are very interesting and the main characters are always very well written. The world building is very well done. I truly enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I have been waiting for the next book of the author and was really surprised that it is this one and with 500+ pages!
The book was a really good second book for me with some questions answered finally for which i am really grateful. I am also really happy that it had a proper ending without any massive cliffhanger however i am still curious of the next one and what will happen.
I thoroughly enjoyed Legendary Tamer Vol. 1, but I must say that this Vol. 2 is even better. My only complaint is that it has taken months and months to get the second volume please try to complete the next volumes sooner if at all possible, that being said, hats off to the author for a great book. Read it, you won't want to put it down...but read volume one first!!!
That book had so much catharsis and suspense! The book's plot kept you on your seat while steadily ramping the tension. KSY knows how to do an over powered character right! My only sad note is to wait for the next one is going to be torture. But if it is anything like this one, it will be worth it.
What a wait was it to read this only to be once again anticipating the next release. I had to do a recap on the first book because of the almost three years between release but I periodically checked every few months for a release. I’m a fan of this book and the God slayer one, the latter is by far my most favorite.
I almost cry when I saw there was a second book. I really thought that the book was canceled. This was so worth the wait. There was never a boring part and I like that we didn't have to wait like four books in to learn his back around. All over a great story. Please shoemaker us wait long for the next one.
A good read that, for me, pulls you into the story. I know that all the trials of the MC make for predictable outcomes, but the author really does the details well.
A good solid second arc and prep for the 3rd arc of Simon's story. KSY's stories do a wonderful job of bringing you into his over the top universes. Can't wait for the 3rd book! Keep up the fantastic work KSY!
Was definitely a long wait, but really enjoyed it. Story is well developed and consistent, enjoy how the author gives his spin on the xianxia genre. Would definitely buy/read the next one.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
Only criticism is the use of the word guys. It needs to be removed. “You guys” really?
I have read both of the Tamer series book and enjoyed them very much. I especially like the way Simon's kindness with his contracted beings. I await the next book with anticipation.
Just a nice fun story that I'd happily recommend to anyone. If I had to criticize anything it would be the pov seemed to jump around a little too abruptly.
