I received a copy of this book for review. Opinions shared are mine.
What I liked about the book: It’s pretty short. It packs a lot of punch in this few pages, though. The message is thought-provoking, even if you don’t agree with everything that’s said. The “prophecies” are deep and sure to make you raise an eyebrow.
What I had a bit of problem with: I don’t feel like I know enough about the Bible to really place an argument against anything that was said, but I felt uneasy through much of the book. There are a lot of big issues presented as scriptural truth, but I felt that it was taken out of context. Admittedly, I’m probably a skeptic when it comes to prophecy. My biggest concern is that someone would read this and take it as gospel rather than reading it and studying the Bible for themselves.
Whether or not you agree with what’s presented in Prophetic Forecast, it’s clear that the author did a lot of research. The book is interesting and seems well-thought-out.
If you’re looking for an intense read that will make you want to read the Bible and find out if some truths are really hidden in its text, you might want to check out Prophetic Forecast.
“The prophetic instructions I give here are written to encourage you, empower you, and at times warn you of impending disaster so that you might be able to adequately prepare for what is ahead,” Joshua Giles writes in the introduction to his book, Prophetic Forecast: Insights for Navigating the Future to Align with Heaven’s Agenda.
~ What ~ This two-hundred-and-forty-four-page paperback book targets those who are charismatic in thinking about the future and its many troubling circumstances. After a foreword by Ryan LeStrange, acknowledgments, and an introduction, twenty chapters about prophetic forecasting are discussed, ending with notes and the author’s biography. Using mainly the New King James Bible, the AMP, ESV, ISV, KJV, NABRE, NASB, NIV, and NLT versions are referenced.
In this short read, the author examines many of the prophecies and visions he has been given throughout the years and how they relate to the future. Some of the discussions include the new era, shaking, Issachar arising, nations, kingdoms, monetary systems, technology, unusual weather patterns, the media, supernaturalism, political upheaval, judgment, hybrid and underground churches, global reset, war, and glory. Each chapter has information, followed by applicable Your Prophetic Forecast and Prophetic Hope sections.
~Why ~ Fully trusting in the Lord during trials and tribulations is important during our daily walk with God. I appreciate how the book is formatted and organized by discussing a topic with added Biblical notations and applying it both personally and with hope as one looks toward the future. Although there is no mention of the well-known prophecies stated in Revelation that have not yet occurred, many Bible verses are quoted.
~ Why Not ~ Those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ may not think this book is helpful while others may not understand forecasting the future using God’s Word. Many will immediately note that it is Pentecostal and charismatic in its thinking, avoiding subjects of the imminent Rapture, Tribulation, thousand-year reign, or Hell – topics that are frequently mentioned in the Bible. Some will find the writer’s prophecies and visions to be common knowledge and correspond easily to Scripture that has already been prophesized. While I agree that unusual and uncertain times are ahead, I was concerned reading the author’s repeated writings of “and then the Lord told me” or "the vision I saw” regarding things that are already included in the Word of God.
~ Wish ~ Being a firm and hopeful believer in the upcoming Rapture, I would not have chosen this book to review if I knew how Pentecostal it was in often dismissing topics such as the falling away of the church, the rise of the Antichrist, and the second coming of Jesus to name a few. Although it contains viable prophecies (which many are noted already in the Bible), I felt uncomfortable with the author declaring he was a prophet.
~ Want ~ If you want to read about prophesies and visions that are already noted in the Bible and do not consider the Rapture could be around the corner with the seven years of Tribulation following it, this book may be for you, but I gleaned little from it except to keep my eyes on Jesus and be confident He controls the world and the future.
Thanks to Chosen, Baker Publishing, and the author for this complimentary book that I am under no obligation to review.
In Prophetic Forecast, Joshua Giles has written a brand-new book about prophecy and how we can prepare for what is to come. He opened up about how he began in prophetic ministry and how he saw visions and dreams at a young age. He begins the book by sharing how in 2015 he gave a prophetic message about how a rare virus would be coming that would change the world. He stated how doctors will be confused about if it was the flu or not. He told how God told him that it would require two tests to determine what it is. The virus will target the respiratory systems and he instructed them to pray for themselves and family members. He also went on about how the virus was man made and would come from a lab. He also shared how in 2019, he was told by God that a great change was coming again and it would affect every system starting with the financial and it start a collapse. It will open the doors to a great revival and a global reset. He devoted a whole chapter to the changes coming to the monetary systems. We aren’t far from digital currency and we will see the value of a dollar disappear around the world completely. He encouraged believers to not chase after the love of money but instead to seek the Lord. He explained how in scripture, Proverbs 13:22 it discussed how “the wealth of the wicked is reserved for the righteous.” He strongly believed that there is going to be a transfer of wealth to God’s people and He will be there to provide for us.
I would recommend this life changing book on prophecy to everyone who is ready to prepare for the end times. One of my favorite discussions was about Joseph and how he dealt with the famine. There is going to be a repeat coming. I liked how open Joshua Giles was in explaining the famine that is to come that will affect food supplies, pharmaceutical companies, housing market, natural disasters, spiritual, and much more. This book was very eye opening and I enjoyed reading about how he has predicted some of the changes that come to be from visions he received from God. I also liked how shinny the book design was and how they engrossed it to make it more appealing.
"I received this book free from the publisher, Bethany House/ Chosen for my honest review.”
God has given Giles insight into what is happening today and what will be happening in the near future. Giles' desire is to prepare Christians for what is coming. He reveals some of his past prophetic words, such as one predicting a coming virus. He includes very good teaching on the aspects of prophecy. There is material at the end of each chapter including practical suggestions for remaining faithful in ministry and preparing for the future.
Giles writes about many changes coming in the near future including a new pathogen worse than Covid, a great prophetic movement, money systems changing to digital, changes in national ranks, food shortages to become the norm, changes in weather patterns, a new social media platform, a new political party in the US, a female US president in the near future, a persecution coming to the Church in America and other developed nations not seen in modern times, great unity in the body, and more. “Life as we know it will change along with everything around us.” (1455/2986) Like every prophetic revelation made in the past, time will be the test for Giles' predictions.
There were a couple of things in the book that bothered me. One was Giles taking Jeremiah 29:11, a promise to Israel, out of its context. (355/2986) Another was Giles declaring that the president took the US out of the UN. (1980/2986) This is not true. President Trump did remove the US from UNESCO and UNHRC in 2017 and 2018 respectively but that is far different than being removed from the United Nations in total.
Giles has given Christians a book full of information and encouragement to be prepared for the future. This book is especially appropriate for those called to prophetic ministry. We Christians need to be aware of Satan's tactics and prophetic voices are key to that awareness.
I believe Joshua Giles represents a new breed of prophets to whom God has entrusted hard sayings as well as encouraging words. Too many prophetic people only say what will get cheers from their crowds. Like Chris Reed, Giles does not hesitate to warn of more birth pangs to come like wars, earthquakes, pestilences and famines. Or even the painful decline of the US as a world power before it recovers. China, he says, will suffer decline too.
Giles forecasts new viruses, humanized AI, and tracking devices in our bodies without automatically saying they must be marks of the Antichrist. Instead, he says the antichrist spirit first rises in the church before it goes out into the world (as we can conclude from the four passages about the antichrist spirit in 1 & 2 John).
Yet at the same time Giles affirms the true church will overcome such challenges. It will learn to master new technologies for the gospel’s sake. God will use them for good while the enemy uses them for evil.
I’m surprised that along with his advocacy of Christian involvement in so many public spheres, that he doesn’t encourage involvement in the political sphere. When we lose ground there, we lose ground in many other arenas of life.
Giles agrees with many other prophets that we will have a great harvest of souls, but adds that it will happen amid much persecution. As the wheat grows to maturity, so will the tares.
We don’t find out until near the end of the book that Giles, a Black pastor, was one of the catalysts for the move of God that happened at the site of George Floyd’s arrest. He led many to Christ and baptized many converts there. I look forward to hearing much more from this anointed prophet to the nations.
Prophetic Forecast is a book on prophecy by author Joshua Giles. Joshua Giles is a sought-after conference speaker and the lead pastor and founder of Kingdom Embassy Worship Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Prophetic Forecast is organized into twenty chapters, each chapter has “Your Prophetic Forecast” and “Prophetic Hope” sections. The reason Mr. Giles wrote Prophetic Forecast is to inform readers of the unprecedented shaking underway in the systems and nations of the earth. I believe the thesis of Prophetic Forecast is to inform the reader about what is happening now and what is on the horizon.
Even though I didn’t agree with everything Mr. Giles said I do believe it would make an interesting book club choice. I give Prophetic Forecast 4*/5*

Prophetic Forecast is a phenomenal read that is necessary for the Believer. This book is exactly what the title says it is: a forecast from Heaven of the things that have happened (the book was published in April 2022, I'm writing this review in March 2025), are happening, and the things to come. I admit I was a bit nervous to read this book at first. Yet true to the overall nature of Apostle Giles' ministry, it is NOT fearmongering. Yes, the book does contain some sober words and we should be sober-minded about many things that are happening in our nation (USA) and around the world. HOWEVER, the book also contains exciting words that inspire hope for the future, particularly for God's people. It also contains biblical/spiritual as well as practical advice to prepare for the serious things to come. Every Believer should have this book in their library and refer back to it as needed. Gift it to others who have ears to hear as well!
Prophet Joshua Giles is a bonafide prophet that I know for a fact he hears God, his book is a true testament of what God is speaking in this hour and the hour to come the prophetic words he speaks, God has also shared some of same words of prophecy with me as a prophetess of the lord but that's neither here nor there concerning me. This man of God's book is a must read for every true believer in the body of Christ to take it all in read it several times and study the word of God as you read the prophetic time line the Prophet of God has given us through this great prophetic manual in book form. Thank God for true prophet's in earth that speaks God's language. Amen
In “Prophetic Forecast: Insights for Navigating the Future to Align with Heaven’s Agenda” Joshua Giles, lead pastor, noted speaker and prophet gives Christians insight into the churning events that have stricken the populace of this world. Filled with hope and promise, he unveils God’s plans and strategies for our future and that of the Church, preparing the way for the uncertainty and fear that will arise in the future. Inspirational and insightful this is a must read for all Christians wondering about the path forward in this uncertain climate.
There is significance on every page of this book. Joshua has keen spiritual hearing to understand this time and this season and skill for communicating that. This book isn’t for the feint of heart or spiritually immature but it is a necessary guidebook for where we are, where we are headed, and how we as individuals and as the church need to respond. It needs to be read repeatedly, absorbed, and applied.
I didn't have a lot of money to purchase the book, but I was thankful I was able to get the audio book at my library. After listening to it, I want to make a way to buy it because this is something I need to keep on my shelf. It's very well written and very informative. His prophetic forecasts were a lot of confirmation on what God has been showing me and what my pastor/ mother has been preaching. I highly recommend it and Thank You, Apostle Giles, for writing it!
This book gives soooo much prophetic insight as to things that are coming in the next few years. Giles is preparing us spiritually for this upcoming season. This book will shift the trajectory of the lives of many people when they read and follow the prophetic instructions.
Very good book. Very informative also confirmed other prophecies from the word of God. And spoken by other people before. I thank God for his will being done. This book also express more and more of Gods love for us. Thank the Lord for the writer and the author for being obedient.
I thought I would see more scriptures reference; however, I did receive a lot of confirmations. This book is worth reading again and to know what thus says the " Lord" concerning my life. May the Lord continue to bless you in your endeavors.
The section on the time we live under was great revelation knowledge. So I don't Live under the sun timing but the timing of God. Great read everyone should read this book
Prophetic Forecast is in the name of the book. Joshua Giles gives so many prophesies in this book, I can't count them all which makes this book such an amazing read. Time will tell if he right, I have a feeling that he is.
Amazing devotional and powerful insight in current and future events that are ongoing and recurring. I highly recommend this book to anyone and watch how much this book is in divine alignment (thank God) to what's been going on now.
Great spiritual insight and word of The Lord! It is a time for hearing doing and application of the Word of God! This book is a FORECAST of what is to come and what is now! Thank you Prophet Joshua for your continued obedience!
This is a phenomenal book! I couldn’t put it down! This is a MUST read! It is full of HOPE, clarity and explanation of the future. Lo We hope in Jesus Christ, our Messiah.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to understand how God moves and his intentions for our lives. To see that we need God in our lives to be used by him.
My mom recommended this book and has sent me several of his prophecies online. While I enjoy the book, it repeats a lot of things that he’s already said on Facebook he does go into a little bit more detail giving background on his life and personal experiences.
I guess I was just expecting a little bit more. Overall the book was great, but I took away a star, mainly because of what I expected in comparison to what I got.
