The ramshackle old castle left to her by a great-aunt is the perfect hide-out for a desperate witch seeking a charm to get her out of harm's way, right up until a dead body turns up on her doorstep.

Things get worse when the ridiculously handsome investigating Special Agent Chris Constantine puts Esme on his suspect’s list. Esme must put her amateur sleuthing skills to the test and prove her innocence before Agent Constantine takes too close a look at her — because Esme has a secret worse than murder.

Juggling life and death turns into magical mayhem when a moody psychic cat, a busybody ghost aunt, and Esme’s three wild witch cousins burst in on her life. Will they help her catch the killer, or will they run for cover when they find out what Esme is hiding?
BOOK TWO:

Solving crime one fairy tale at a time.

Witch Esme Westbrim is settling into a new life in Bewitching Brimstone Bay when the murder of a tourist hits too close to home. The second body in a few months has turned up on her doorstep!

To make things worse Esme has seen someone she knows all too well lurking around the scene of the crime. Afraid her family will come under suspicion, Esme must attend a magical fairy-tale reunion ball and uncover deadly secrets from the past. Even help from a psychic cat, magically marvellous cupcakes, and a wild witch cousin might not be enough when a certain ridiculously handsome Special Agent keeps getting in Esme's way!

Can Esme find happily ever after for everyone or will her belief that fairy tales always end badly come true?
BOOK THREE:

Solving crime one beast at a time.

Life in Bewitching Brimstone Bay has not turned out the way that witch Esme Westbrim hoped, but when girls start going missing across town, including a customer at her café, Esme puts aside her own troubles in order to help. To her dismay, she stumbles across a wicked murder.

It turns out the victim is tied to the ridiculously handsome Chris Constantine’s troubled past, and the race is on to solve not just one beastly crime, but three. Worse, Esme’s faith in Chris is shaken when she discovers an alarming secret. With the help of her psychic cat, ghost aunt and wild witch cousin, can Esme untangle the complicated mysteries of Chris’s past and her own heart before time runs out and the vengefully wicked past catches up with all of them?

Book 1:
Esme Brimstone is retreating back to her hometown. The place she left at 18 to try and make a go of it in the humble aka human world. Brimstone Bay is unique it’s home to all manner of supernatural creatures and Esme just so happens to be one of them a witch no less. Except her magic has always been weak so she left to try and live the normal way the only way she thought she could. Things don’t go as she planned as things are won’t to do. So with an imploded marriage, a terrifying and dangerous secret she returns to accept her inheritance an ancestral home. Complicating her life further is a murder victim appearing in her garden and a distractingly handsome detective who believes her to be not fully truthful. So Esme sets off to find the real culprit to outdo the pesky policeman and to help the innocent young woman who lost her life. Along for the ride are her favorite cousin Allegra, her recently deceased Aunt Adele who feeds her yummy deserts, and a new/old friend Jasper. She may not have the training but she is determined to find the truth and that may just be enough.

Book 2:
Trouble strikes again when after a night hanging out on the beach Esme literally stumbles over a dead body practically on her front doorstep. Thinking it’s a bad joke she’s indignant until she realizes the truth. She is frantic to not have another body discovered at her home so she calls her cousin and they move the body. As it turns out the deceased is a man with a troubled past from his school days and it just so happens all those old schoolmates are gathered in Brimstone Bay for a reunion. Esme is drawn into the case at first to protect the family then from a sense of shared camaraderie. She feels as if they have a similar past almost even though they never met. Though her cousin and the cop she vehemently denies she’s interested in warn her to stay out of it Esme is on a mission for truth no matter where it leads. With the rich and powerful stacking the deck against her Esme has a tough road ahead but with persistence and a little help from her friends her determination will win the day and bring the truth to light.

Book 3:
After the events in the previous story Esme feels like she is on a path to a brighter future. Good friends, professional satisfaction, wacky family, ghost filled house, and maybe her happily ever after or at least the beginnings of one. Eight months later and her personal life has gone nowhere, nasty rumors are swirling, girls have gone missing and another dead body has come to town. The deceased brings back to light a tragedy from eighteen years prior. Esme puts aside thoughts of what might have been, or what might be and sets to finding out the truth. One thing is for certain in Brimstone Bay the police have an agenda and truth is not always the goal. Secrets are revealed that throw the once tight knit group of friends into disarray. Esme is no longer sure she knows exactly whom to believe. A storm is brewing and it’s about to touch down.

Three wonderful mysteries in one. Esme and her friends are quirky, delightfully persistent and no matter the crazy obstacles in their way always find the truth. I love the cost little town of Brimstone Bay with all its witchy charms and supernatural beings living together mostly peacefully. A fun world to visit with plenty of wacky shenanigans to keep you entertained.

Witches of Brimstone Bay #1-3 . . .

This collection brings us the first 3 magical books in the “Witches Of Brimstone Bay Cozy Mystery” series. Below is a review of one of the books to give you an idea of what you will find. The books are clever and will keep the reader excited to track down the murderer as Esme searches for clues.

Titles included are:

Book 1: Witch In Charm's Way
Book 2: Wands Upon A Time In Brimstone Bay
Book 3: Witch Way To The Wicked

*** Reviewing “BOOK 3: WITCH WAY TO THE WICKED” ***

I like the stories but Esme drives me crazy

Ok, so the stories were good and the mysteries meaty enough to keep you guessing, but the main heroine drove me crazy. I felt bad for her when she left London due to her cheating spouse. I commiserate with her fear of turning into a vampire after being attacked and bitten. I understand her running back home to Brimstone Bay to seek a cure. I can even support her need to solve a murder where she is a suspect and clearly the new Chief of Police is shirking his duties to be impartial. However, her need to get involved in every murder and her constant bellyaching about her lack of magical ability is truly frustrating. She has no confidence so she doesn't even try. And when she does have no choice and it either does not work or backfires in some way, she is quick to quit and requests help from others. Alleges is right, she needs to practice but do it with the same resolve she has for butting into Chris's cases. The fact that she is right in the end and does help to solve the murders is about the only thing that relieves my frustration with her.

This collection features the first three books of this cozy witch mystery series . This is a genre that I have become particularly fond of and these are good examples of why. The stories are well written, easy to read and fun, with an amazing bit of humor worked in. Just the names of the characters are enough to give me a chuckle. The characters are well developed and distinct, whether they be good or bad. I also found the mysteries to be well done with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Overall, this is a very fun series and this collection gives you a great chance to get started.

Highly recommended.

Witches Of Brimstone Bay Books 1-3 Cozy Mysteries: by R.K.Dreaming.

The central character Esme, is a 37-year-old witch who has very little confidence in her own abilities and achievements. She lives in constant fear about what her family and the people around her may think of her. The level of anxiety is increased when she returns home after an attack. The world building is great and the interactions with the secondary characters are delightful. The cozy mystery side of the stories is very well done. At the end of book 3, I just wished that Esme would stop whining about how her life turned out, take control over her witchy abilities, stand up to the town/family bullies, deal with her problems, and embrace her new life. This box set is a great read.

Interesting series

Just what I needed in my weird irritated mood. The only complaint I have about cozy books like this one is that too many people are either gorgeous or billionaires. I am 80 and in all my life, I have never seen a drop dead stunning man or woman. Beautiful, pretty etc, yes, but no stunning people. I have finally realized that is because they have all moved to these books! Anyway, this series is interesting and the people are not one dimensional. I love when nasty girls and bad guys get what they deserve. Well written and I will be reading the rest of then instead of doing my chores. At 80, I can goof off, right? Besides, my knees ache. Might as well get some good out of the pain!

The three beginning books of this series starts with Esme inheriting a castle from her aunt who is still there in spirit. Right away, a murder happens and she gets sucked into figuring out who did it. The second story has another murder and the third is about missing girls in town. Love the characters and the quirky paranormal entities around Esme. The storylines are well written, with plenty of drama, great banter, red herrings and magic. The endings are great and the stories work well in a series. Can not wait to read more of this group.

Loved it!

I've recently discovered R.K. Dreaming and love these books. I read a series of three before this one and so I got these afterwards. The setting is Brimstone Bay, a paranormal town with a lovely beach. Esme is a wonderful character that recently came home to live in the old castle she inherited. The plot is a really good one throughout the series. Lots of good characters, laugh out loud moments and always a murder to solve. I just wish I could eat at the castle's Cafe. I definitely recommend this series and I'm going to see if there's more!

The first three books in the Brimstone Bay series brings Esme back home

The Auntie who left her the castle hasn't departed it herself- despite being dead

Vampiric and magical complications, special agent investigations, and lots of ghostly mayhem- alongside sneaky tricks from her Ex and other criminal activity leave Esme very busy and engaged

Fun and mayhem galore!

You will never guess the villain until the end

The only drawback to these books is an occasional bout of dialogue at inappropriate times. If you're standing over a dead body, when time is short, why argue? If you found one, why move it? If you have an enemy who hates you, why play into their hand? Otherwise the town has the same strife as regular society, power and poverty. I did enjoy some of the characters and am interested in seeing b them develop.

I loved this story

I think this is one of the best mystery stories that I've read in a while. There were so many twists and turns that I wasn't able to figure out who was behind the murder or the kidnappings until the final reveal. Great job R.K. thanks so much for a fantastic story!

Good stories.

Esme and her friends are good characters. The plots are good. They kept me guessing who the murderers were. I like Esme's family. Esme irked me with her self-doubt, at times.

Such a fun set of books. Esme is a writer who ends up solving murders in her hometown. She also has a big secret. Chris is her potential love interest but in this set nothing happens...yet.

Hmm

This series is okay, problem is that the books are far too long, they faff on a lot and the story gets to long-winded, I almost stopped reading each book and had to kae myself carry on. I just skimmed book 3. Too too long winded...
