This is Rowen's first complete duet. It includes: Returning to Everton, Surviving in Everton, as well as two new bonus scenes from each book.
This isn’t how I expected my life to be at 30 years old.
I was supposed to be raising a little family, and fulfilling my dream of running a bakery in my small hometown. Instead, I’m now a widow with a 5-year-old little girl. Living far from that idyllic small town I dreamed of growing old in, surrounded by my BFF Quinn and my 4 best guy friends.
I’ve been so beat down these past 10 years, not allowed to use my magic even in my own home. I think it’s time I return to Everton. This town has nothing left for me now that my husband is dead.
But the guys and I didn’t exactly part on the best of terms…. Will they be able to forgive me for leaving the way I did? Or will returning to Everton be just another mistake?
Returning to Everton Duet is a reverse harem, meaning Rowen doesn’t have to choose between her love interests and they all worship her. This book is for readers 18+ due to sexual content
Scarlett Philips writes Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance novels. She read her first RH book 4 years ago and hasn't been able to put them down since. It was while reading one such a novel that she got the idea to write her own, and thus Returning to Everton was born. She loves the paranormal and all things magic. She enjoys writing stories that are relatable but also let you escape into a fantasy world. When she's not writing she's spending time with her family, driving kids to and from school, and therapies. It's a busy life, but she wouldn't change it for the world. Scarlett loves getting messages from her readers. I definitely read this series before it came out as a box set but man, the box set may just be better for the fact that there were all those bonus reads! These two books really suck you in and make you feel like you are a part of the family and their world. Not going to lie but kinda wish the real world was like theirs, full of magic and a whole community of magic would be pretty awesome. Getting away from the point here, the point is you should definitely read these books for yourself so you can love them as much as I do. Certainly looking forward to reading more from this author.
This duet contains both Returning to Everton, and Surviving in Everton. I have read both of these books individually prior to this duet release, but was more than happy to come back and re read the series in the duet form. I love being able to seamlessly move from one book into the next, and even better...BONUS CONTENT! Who doesn't love extra POVs or scenes from their favorite books? Overall, this was a great read, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance, specifically reverse harem. This also deals with some heavier content, including health issues and past emotional abuse. In addition, the main character has a daughter, prior to meeting her group of guys, but don't worry, even if that's not your cup of tea, Violet is freaking adorable and will have you wrapped around her finger pretty quickly. In book 1, Returning to Everton, you get introduced to Rowen and her daughter, Violet. They are trying to move forward in life after the passing of Rowen's husband/Violet's father. In doing so, they return to Rowen's hometown and that is where she reunites with her former childhood friends, and embarks on a life-changing journey of love, acceptance, trials, and happiness.
Returning to Everton Duet by Scarlett Philips is book 1 (Returning to Everton) and book 2 (Surviving Everton) in one boxset. Both books are fabulous and I would definitely read them this way. Returning to Everton is about Rowen (FML) and her daughter Violet moving to her magical hometown of Everton after her husband dies. It delves into her friendship with Quinn and the RH men she left behind Hudson, Ayden, Nate and Kayden whom she has always loved. Plus add in Declan and his son Logan to the mix to spice things up. There is a hefty cliffhanger. BUT… Surviving Everton is also in the boxset and picks up after the first book. SO that helps with the cliffhanger. I do not want to give too much away. Rowe and her 5 men begin to unravel everything they learned at the end of book 1 and they work together to resolve it. Violet and Logan are sweet kids who add so much to this story and I love to read a well written book with kids in it. We also have some highly anticipated spice and we are prepped for Quinn’s books. On top of all of the above we get BONUS CONTENT! So i highly recommend this duet for anyone looking for a fun, engaging read. Thank you the great read!
I read and reviewed the books in this duet separately and I’m happy to return and review them again in this collection.
I personally am a huge fan of series because once I get sucked into a world I hate to see it end and I feel like omnibus editions are great for that.
I throughly enjoyed this book. I loved that the main character was a grown woman (30) with a daughter (5). It’s a friends to lovers story in unique magical small town. The main character has an existing relationship with 80% of the guys and there is low drama and jealousy. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and their dialogue/ interactions. This starts out with a slow burn but I give her heat 🔥🔥🔥. 😊
I felt the additional scenes were fun to read but might have been nicer placed where they fell in the book with a note mentioning that they are bonus scenes.
I loved this duet and she left me wanting more. I look forward to reading her upcoming epilogue novella that will be featured in an anthology soon.
I am very excited To hear Quinn’s duet is coming up next!!
I love that we have both books so there’s no waiting to find out what happens. Rowe is a widow with a five year old little girl. She has been away from home for ten years. Rowe and her daughter both have magic but have had to hide it while Rowe was married. She has decided to return home to her family and her best friends. Rowe realizes there are spots in her memory. With the help of her guys, she finds out who is responsible but, they learn the method used could possibly kill her. I’m not an extremely emotional person but this book definitely tested me. The only thing that I was not completely enthusiastic about is there is a bit of a Daddy kink. (YKINMK). It wasn’t too much for me and I definitely didn’t hesitate to keep reading. This story is hot and HEA. I loved it and highly recommend.
This is magical and beautiful series that I highly recommend.
Returning to Everton This is a magical, beautiful and sweet first book in the Everton Ever After series. It is beautifully written with vivid world building and details along with lovable characters. I loved Rowen's guys interactions with Violet, talk about swoon worthy. This has a great pace that unfolds the start of a mystery with suspense. I am very excited to read the next books! This is an incredible debut of Scarlett Philips!
Surviving in Everton This is a beautiful and heartwarming story that is chock full of a wide range of emotions. This picks up right where Returning to Everton left off. This is a journey is full of twists, love, romance, and heat. This is the second book in Rowen's first duet and I can't wait for her second; but am very excited to read Quinn's story.
This is such an amazing story from start to finish. I love how the guys personalities shine through and the extra bonus scenes were great. And the best part of having both books in the boxset: not having to wait for another release after that MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER at the end of book 1. 🪄 🪄 🪄 🪄 🪄 Book 1 review Rowen is one lucky lady. A best friend who never abandoned her, a wonderful group of guys that want her, and a daughter who is the best. I can’t believe how this story ended though! I need more! Book 2 review I really enjoyed this book. So much goes on! It picks up right where book 1 ended, so I was immediately pulled right into the story. I love that the guys all love the kids. I hope we see more from these characters in future books. Definitely a few doors left open 🔥🔥🔥
I can't say enough about this duet. It contains two stories . 1) Returning to Everton 2) Surviving in Everton Both stories are amazing and will make laugh and cry at times. No waiting after the cliffhanger of book one. Rowe is a wonderful main character who goes through a lot but remains strong. I love her men! They are each unique and support her in different ways. They are also very hot! Quinn is the best friend everyone should have. The two children in the stories, Violet and Logan just add to the enjoyment. I read both these stories as the come out and definitely enjoyed reading them again. I will probably do so in the future. I do highly recommend this book
I read books 1 and 2 of this duet when they came out and enjoyed them very much, so I was excited to revisit some familiar characters and spend some extra time with them in new scenes. Rowen's story will take you on a ride of second chance love (one of my favorite tropes) with a sprinkle of magic and a lot of heart. 💚 The bonus scenes didn't disappoint! We got a taste of Quinn's story, and I am chomping at the bit for more of her. And not surprisingly, we got a bonus scene in the magic playroom. With bossy Nate. Not sure how else to get you to read this book. A magic playroom with bossy Nate=🥵. Rowen is a very fortunate lady. A great read.
I have read Returning to Everton and Surviving in Everton when they first came out, but this duet is one you can reread a million times and never get sick of, plus all the bonus content is AMAZING!!!
This was one of the first RHs I read, and I fell in love immediately with this world! Rowen is a widow with a 5 year old daughter. After her husband passed, she came back to her hometown, and back to her best friends, who are also the loves of her life that love her just as much.
There is some mystery, some amazing spicy scenes, and just all around beautiful story. I love this duet and can't wait for more In this world.
What an amazing story about second chance love. Rowen her husband died and is now taking care of her 5 year old girl. She is an amazing mom and wants what's best for her girl. She decides to go back home where she doesn't have to hide who she is. She is a magic user and in this town where she grew up she meets old loves. The guys are still head over heels over Rowen. Can they win her back? And what is wrong with her memory? Will end in HEA. So this is the complete duet of Rowen that I really love and highly recommend!
I enjoyed this story and love seeing the amount of growth the author has from book one to two. With the box set she includes additional scenes. I wish the scenes had been added within the book instead of tagged at the end but in general I really enjoyed the additional scenes and thought they added something fun and steamy to the story. I cant wait for the next installment in the Everton series.
I fell in love with this story and now this duet with its bonus scenes! Especially with V! If you want a feel all the good feels grab this! It’s not only a love story between Rowen and her guys but Her daughter and the guys and it will melt your heart!
Binge read. Rowes first two books together. You can read her entire story right at the same time. I’m stopping not going to another book just together. I really enjoy the characters and I love Violet. This is such a cute little story. Even shed a couple of tears and laughed which makes this book all the better.
This boxset takes 2 amazing books, adds some great extra bonuses and ties it up in a neat package! The story follows Rowe and her daughter as they navigate life in Rowe's hometown. No spoilers but the story has its ups and downs and the guys... 🥵 definitely must read for me!!
I absolutely love this series. The bonus Material is amazing and I cannot wait for Quinn’s story. If your looking for a fantastical friends to lovers this is the story your looking for
I love this duet , it's so sweet. I loved every second. If you love RH where the guys only ever have eyes for the Heroine then you will love this duet. It's so good and i can't wait for Quinn's duet hopefully we will get to see more of Rowan and her guys.
This plot had potential. The writing is so juvenile it might have been better suited to middle school. It certainly was not suited for twenty something parents in reverse harem.
An amazing duet of stories the characters are amazing love Rowan and all her boys and the kids its just such an amazing story all round recommend 10/10
This is an amazing box set, it’ll make you laugh and cry so have those tissues ready. It contains book 1 and 2 so no waiting to find out what happens 😁❤️
