This book started very slow. I didn't truly know what was going on until around Chapter 14. There's so many characters introduced and they each have chapters so in some aspects it's not flowing. You will read the same scenario as least twice from a different perspective based on the character.
This book was stupid it was all over the place I’m always here for black characters but this book was to long and had my head hurting could’ve at least gave us meaning to a lot of the stuff that was said and everybody was entangled with everybody makes no sense a waste of my reading I’m so pisses
I really enjoyed this book! It's well written and intriguing. It's the story I've been looking for. I appreciated the culture and love the Gullah Geechee representation. It felt like listening to my people and immediately brought up memories of crab and crawfish. Closer to the end of the story I wanted it to progress just a little quicker. Overall, I'm excited to read the next book!
This book had a lot of twist and turns. I couldn't put it down. I really love the characters except Bernard, Estelle, and Shelly. I couldn't stand them. And this veterinarian makes want to run in his mouth. I will be reading the next one.
The ending!!! Oh Lord! I am ready for the next one!!! Heads over there now!! Very good with visuals. Some grammar issues but nothing that can’t be overlooked!
