Galactic Order #6

Pythen Blessing: An Alien War Romance

Rate this book
Lydia

My life is unrecognizable. I live on an alien planet. I talk to aliens. They’re my friends, my protectors. There is no familiarity to home. The landscape is alien. The sky is alien. Everywhere I look reminds me that I am an impossible distance away from everything I’ve ever known. But I’m safe here. Safer here than I would be anywhere else.
Safe still, even though there are those that would see me dead before they accepted me into their world. We’ve been attacked and mocked and endured their hatred and indifference. But things are changing. They are starting to accept us.
At least I had hoped they were.
How wrong we were.
Now I’m on the run. A coward wearing courage like a mask. If it weren’t for him and his brothers, I would have been long dead.
But he keeps me protected and safe and sees through my mask and to the heart of my cowardice and loves me despite it.

Ignyt

I am the king’s interrogator. I am the sword for his revenge. The wrath for his justice. My brothers and I do his will with honor. Ever loyal to my Dahk, my king, and the throne. Never have I balked at a task. Never have I lamented my place in his kingdom.
Not until her.
Now I fear her judgement. Now I fear she will look upon me with terror. Now I fear she will curse the ancestors for joining us while I feel nothing but elation and pride. They have given me a gift. A kind, courageous, loving gift. Though I know I do not deserve her, I cannot deny her. I refuse to give her back. She is mine. She has always been mine.
And when they come for her, I will stop at nothing to get her back. I will stop at nothing to make all those that seek her harm beg for my mercy. And I will smile upon them as I deny it.

*This story is a standalone romance but it is highly recommended that you read the series from the beginning. Each contains an underlying plot that is a continuation from the first in the series, Pythen, and will continue on throughout the series.*

***Warning. For readers 18 years and older. Contains explicit sexual situations, possible triggers, dark themes, language, and violence.***

I thought about rounding up for this book but then I thought that would be a disservice to Tahk's book which I enjoyed way more. So here I am. This book was definitely a lot better than the last and that was because there was a lot more action and a lot more going on here. We find out next to nothing about what's happening on Earth, instead focusing on the next issue on Home World. Which is totally fine with me.

At the beginning, a good chunk was about Peyton and Tahk. And I was happy with that because they're still my favorite couple here. The baby is being born and so we get multiple POV's. Because she's human and they have no pain killers, Peyton is having a horrendous time with her contractions and the baby just doesn't want to come out. Which in turn has Tahk destroying the castle, beating people up, and beside himself with anger and frustration. After all, he cannot help his mate in the same way his people usually do. Finally the baby is born and it's quite the occasion for all.

Lydia is one of the women rescued from the Juldo and she's rather quiet and domestic. I really liked her personality. While Vyr is helping to subdue Tahk and Viv is helping Peyton, Lydia was asked to watch their baby. Which she does gladly. Only now that means more guards. One of them being Ignyt. And it's hard for her to miss the way he is always watching her. What she doesn't know is that he's been watching her since the day she arrived. He's a total stalker.

I liked Ignyt. And I really liked his brothers. Ignyt is the king's interrogator which should be a pretty clear job description. However, we don't actually get to see much of him working, which surprised me a little. If he's going to worry over his mate accepting who he is and what he does, don't you think we should actually get some of it? I don't mean we have to have pages of gory details, but I'd think more than threatening one person and then killing him would have a better point. This just makes him look like every other warrior we've encountered. Thankfully, when Lydia learns a bit of what he's done, she realizes that she can't judge him by human standards and accepts it as part of him and his culture. I probably would have been angry if she tried to change him or make him stop.

For a couple weeks after the new baby is born, things at the castle resume mostly normal activities. Lydia has also become a sort of nanny for the two babies and she loves it. Though she's confused as to why her normal guard has been replaced with Ignyt and his brothers. The peace is shattered one day when the castle is attacked and it's realized their target is Tahk's child. Finding herself hiding with Peyton and the baby, Lydia makes a risky decision to try and protect them. Her plan is dangerous (for herself) but mostly goes off without a hitch. That is until she finds herself free falling from the top of the castle. Saved by Ignyt she triggers his mating rage, and we all know what happens after that.

Ignyt does a valiant job at fighting it until Lydia is ready, all the while him and his brothers lead the enemy farther and farther from the castle. The reprieve they provide with this trick allows for Uthyf and his Dahk to figure out what's really going on. And it's nothing good. After a lot of destruction and a lot of deaths, the true enemy is finally caught. The planet is put on lock down and it's time for Uthyf to meet with his allies and figure out their next step. On the plus side, it does look like the Dahk are more and more willing to accept the humans now. And while I know the next book will focus on the Shadow Assassin, I'm still looking forward to it.

There were a couple things I appreciated here. First, I like the fact that Peyton and Bailey do not really get along. Mostly because I hate Bailey, but also because it becomes annoying when so many series have ALL the females become best friends. That's just silly and unrealistic. The other thing I liked was that Lydia knew exactly when the mating bond was formed with Ignyt and she accepted it for what that would mean has to happen. She knew there was no fighting it and she knew what to expect so we didn't have to waste time on her being stupid. Which leads me to one thing I didn't like. I hate insta-love. Occasionally I will find that I don't mind it so much, but that's not often. Here, I was rolling my eyes hard when all of a sudden Lydia is in love with Ignyt after they complete the bond. Maybe that's why she mentions at one point that once she sleeps with a guy she becomes clingy, I don't know. But I wasn't buying it. Oh! And I really hated

Now only one more book until I get Kil's. I'm so excited.

Great addition, again, a bit Insta love-y, but solid world building and am dreading finishing this series. Hope she writes a spin off.

I came into this series expecting it to be like ruby Dixon's ice planet barbarians series, and was pleasantly surprised. The diversity in each couple and new species we encounter opens up so much potential for new books that I hope she pursues in the (hopefully near) future.

I appreciate that these books often focus on the plot, rather than bombarding us with a million sex scenes. This investment in the plot is what differs from a lot of other alien romances with similar premises (which end up being mostly just smut with some contrived conflict)

Yet again, wish this was longer...

This ended up being a really good story between a damaged couple but the book is part of a series so that for me, caused issues.

I like books that are part of a series, each book dealing with a couple with updates on previous couples and breadcrumbs for future couples with an enemy plot that runs through the series.

My issue with this book was at the start we have multiple scenes with others being the focal point.

The book starts with the birth of the first mixed race (human/alien) baby, not from this couple but a previous one and I realise that this sets the scene for the main couples adventures but it felt so enemy plot heavy that it seemed hard to recognise who the heroine and Hero were going to be, their story together doesn't really kick in until about 25%.

The enemy plot line and politics seems so complicated that it's hard to remember from each books release to the next one who everyone is and whats gone on, it will be easier when the full series is out and the reader can binge on the whole series.

I stopped reading and went back and read the blurb from the previous books to try to remind myself.

The couple are very devoted to each other.

No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
There is no relationship history for the Hero and the heroine had a spineless fiance back on earth before the attacks.
No other woman or man drama.
No cheating.

What is there to say other than I love this series and don’t want it to end. So many stories can still be told. In this we have the long awaited birth of Tahk and Peytons baby. Those scenes were fantastic and anyone who has gone through childbirth can relate, especially if gone through without pain relief lol (shame she wasn’t able to get the Dhak’s pain relief lol). The heroine in this book was really sweet and brave....for reasons I won’t go into due to spoilers. Her Python *sigh* he so wants to ensure he doesn’t scare her away with who he is and what he does. If anything I wish we’d seen a bit more of him in full interrogator mode (I’m twisted like that!!). My only grumble with the book over all is that it ended meaning I now have to wait for the assassins book *bigger sigh*

This series is just so good! I have to pace myself every time a new boom comes out.
We are with Igs and Lydia this time. She’s the most accepting of all the women we have met so far. Igs is the strong silent I will kill you were you stand type like all the others. Lol
Lydia is brave and goes above and beyond for all she loves and care for!
Can’t say to much as this is a series and I will give the other stories away. However, just know it’s a good story and you will see almost everyone from the other books in this one.

ok I’m done

I’m sure I’ve gotten as much as I can out of this series and honestly, the only reason why I read this one was because of the baby. I wanted to know how the hybrid would be and now that I know - that’s it.

I can now also officially say I’m not a fan of the writing style, so there’s that. This story in particular was ok, we don’t actually know much about Ignyt, even at the end. He had zero personality and was just there. Nothing made him special or made him stand out for me. Lydia was also just ok I suppose. I mean, sure, she did some brave stuff but again, yet another bland character. So yeah, it’s good bye for us !

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the Dahk and especially the Pythen bond. While I sometimes wish for a bit more depth and struggles in the romance, I just can’t help loving the strong beautiful relationships the bonds creates. Pythen blessing not only gave me a new couple to love but also expanded amazingly on previous ones. I was all for this book.

The best part was that the book took some focus on the birth scene and having both Peyton and Tahk taking on bigger roles again. This was built up from book two and was what I had been waiting for most. It certainly didn’t disappoint. As a matter of fact it went beyond what I was hoping for, having it take some more spotlight instead of just being mentioned and then moved on from which I thought would happen. At the same time it didn’t take up too much space either which was good since this was Lydia and Ignyt’s story. All in all it was balanced well so that the birth got the right amount of attention that we readers craved, but not so much that it stole focus or excitement from the main characters.

I was intrigued by Ignyt in previous books so I was absolutely a okay with him getting his own story. And what a story it was. I was addicted to his protectiveness and interest in Lydia, with him her silent mysterious guard. The tense buildup with them getting closer and closer and then the invasion the catalyst for their relationship made the romance so compelling for me. There were things I would have liked to see, like a bigger struggle between them, some more depth perhaps, but I can’t really complain much either. Especially since this book actually had a lot more backstory and depth to the characters than in the previous book. The romance itself was a page turner. Adding the birth and Peyton and Tahk into the story made it a total binge reading fest. I can’t wait for the next book!

This book was impossible to put down. Erin Raegan has done the impossible and bested her best. We get an amazing couple that surprise us in every possible way, from how courageous and self-less Lydia is to how controlled Ignyt, the Dahk warrior is. We finally get what we have been waiting for: the birth of Peyton’s dahkling. Unlike other Dahk births, this was the first human birth on Home Word and what a production it was! After what Tahk and Peyton go through, a few of the Dahk-human pairs are definitely not looking forward to pregnancy.
Ignyt is super intense when it comes to everything, specially Lydia. She is a gentle soul, recovering from painful experiences, including abduction by the evil Juldo who prodded her and ran experiments on her. Despite all she has been through, she kept her melodious way of going about her new life, assisting the new mothers as a nanny. Ignyt keeps his distance from her fearing he may frighten her with his outward rugged appearance. Their budding affections are tested and their pythen bond confirmed when there is an attack on the palace, forcing them to have physical contact. Lydia proves to be a valiant woman putting the safety of others ahead of her own. Ignyt does not disappoint and is right there with her facing all types of danger to protect her and the innocents on Home World.
I loved Lydia and Ignyt so much. The trials and tribulations they faced made their bond stronger and they became a pillar of strength for each other when an evil enemy outnumbered them. They will stay with me for a very long time. It is going to be extremely hard to say goodbye to the Dahk :(

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am RUINED. 😭💜 Erin Raegan took my heart, crushed it, pieced it back together, and then set it on fire in the best way.

Lydia’s journey hit so deep—her fear, her resilience, her desperate search for belonging in a world that isn’t hers. She’s been mocked, attacked, and doubted, yet she still finds strength in her heart.

And then there’s Ignyt. Listen… his name might be Ignyt but he was absolutely ignant behind Lydia 😮‍💨🔥. The king’s sword, the ruthless interrogator, wrath incarnate—yet when it came to her? He lost ALL sense. The way he saw her, protected her, claimed her… whew. I was gone.

This romance?
💜 Protector vibes dialed up to obsession.
🔥 “She is mine. Always mine.” energy.
🛸 Vows of devotion that had me clutching my chest.

Their love is violent storm + quiet salvation, equal parts feral devotion and tender worship. Ignyt behind Lydia was the kind of alien romance chaos that lives rent-free in my head forever.

If you want obsession, devotion, and a man who would burn entire worlds just to keep his woman safe, Pythen Blessing DELIVERS. 👑💜

I loved this book and devoured it in one day. Lydia takes courageous to the next level. She was terrified, yet she did what was right to save a baby. I want to be Lydia when I grow up.

I loved how Reagan gave us pieces of previous characters, and we got to see where their lives are now. To me, that is so important in this type of series. I hate it when I am invested in a couple and several books down the road, I have no idea what it is happening with them because the author has moved on to new couples. I love that Reagan didn’t do that.
I loved how Pythen Blessing was so much different, form the rage and how Ignyt was able to control it since Lydia was in so much danger to how Lydia responded to the mating. It was a refreshing new spin on the series.

I am looking forward to the next installment, but I genuinely hope it isn’t the last because I love this world and all the characters, and I want either a new series/spinoff with the Xixin. I hope Reagan gives that to us. Fingers crossed. I am rating Pythen Blessing 5 Boundless Stars, I loved it, and I can’t wait for more.

2.5 stars.

I felt like this book was a bit rushed and that's due mainly to the fact we don't get a lot of time with Lydia and Ignyt. At the start we had Peyton's birth and that took up quite a chunk of the book in the beginning (around 6 chapters) which could have been used to build up Lydia and Ignyt's relationship. Even Lydia and Ignyt's first time felt rushed - we didn't even see Lydia taking Ignyt's blood so is their bond even solidified??

I really liked Ignyt, he was really sweet and said some cute things. Lydia was a bit one dimensional mixed with little bit of yawn.

Only one book left to go in what has been my favourite alien romance series to date. I'm sad we don't get Yilt and Star's book because I would have loved to have seen that. And Roxy as well - am I seeing something with her and the Guhuvin King? Will there be another series with Guhuvins and the Xixin? I hope so!!

Absolutely loved it!!!

Really enjoyed this one. I loved both the heroine and hero in this one, even the side characters we're really good. There is so many characters in this series I want to see get their own books. This series can go on for ever and I'd never get tired of it. I have enjoyed all the books so far except for one and that's Bailey's book. I still don't like that she has two pythes and I definitely don't think she deserves them! I do not like her at all!!! I so hope the author writes many more stories in the future. I would also like to thank her for getting them out so fast, as well as writing them so I can enjoy them. Thank you!!!

There was quite a bit of excitement going on in this book. I really enjoy getting more scenes with previous couples so I could see how they are getting along. The birth of the new dahkling was everything I wanted I just wish I could have actually been there and given my own blessing. Lydia was a sweet heroine with a quiet strength that impressed me after all of her previous trauma . Ignyt was a strong male all alpha and protective of Lydia . The plot was solid with a plausible reason for the craziness that seemed to be infecting the home world. I enjoyed the glimpses of the other species. This book checks all of my boxes of what I want in a romance. I loved it!

I enjoyed this story so much! I read it again last night for the third time and I am totally captivated by Lydia. While I enjoy female characters who can fight or have a prickly personality, I love Lydia's sweetness, her kindness, and her gentle personality. She is not a fighter, but a nurturer. She has been through a lot but she still cares deeply about those around her and she is braver than she thinks. Ignyt knows this and just wants to protect her and make her happy. This story was a perfect addition to the series! Now, I just want to know what happens to her best friend, Roxy!

LYDIA AND IGNYT

Lydia is afraid of about everything but steps up when necessary to defend those she cares about. She's definitely a reluctant hero. Ignyt is scary both as a Dahl and as the Kong's interrogator. His one soft spot is Lydia. I enjoyed the story but at times was confused at all the twist & turns it often took. Too many plots and too many new & old characters to keep track of.

The author totally surprised me giving the interrogators some much needed love, and I'm ecstatically happy about this. Ignyt and Lydia did not disappoint as a couple. She was a good strong main character, and Ignyt put her safety and feelings before his own. I really loved this couple and their story. I'm definitely ready for the next one.

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Our favorite interrogator

So I wouldn't have chosen shy timid Lydia for Igs, but Lydia got some backbone underneath all that sweetness. In a way,if you take out all the action and the background noise, their relationship is sweeter and seems more devoted. I kept waiting for her to get a 3way package deal since the brothers never go anywhere by themselves, but only Igs got lucky this time..

I have questions about there son sym does he have human feet and hands what about claws? I like the dictionary at the end . I can only hope I got the alien names right

This is a consistent 3 star 'good shit' series for me and this book didnt disappoint either.

Lydia and Ignyt were so good for each other and I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet and sexy interactions. There was a bit of a different play out with regards to mating rage but it dodnt bother me at all, coz the world building is complex enough to keep my interest high.

Onwards to the last book and then fingers crossed for more in the universe books.

This series is so good!! I loved Lydya...not every h has to be a big personality. She was quiet and shy but also strong and resilient. I think this one might be my favorite so far. I can't wait for the Shadow Assassin!! I also can't wait for the Kilbus Lord's story and I hope we get some books starring the Xixin pretty please lol.

Dahk vs Dahk !

This is book 6 in the series . I loved the storyline and plot twists . It was good to find out what was happening to the characters from the earlier books . It was a fast paced and well written book . I can't wait to read the next book coming in December . ENJOY the book ! Enjoy the Fantasy ! For adults only due to interspecies sexual content !!!

I enjoyed reading this novel and the romantic relationship between the characters. I found Peyton antics funny and old man Colt and his dog Bono very touching. Their is some sad moments with the death of close friends. Tank and Peyton sexual relationship is very complicated. Tank is highly jealous, possessive and stubborn toward Peyton. I found this book very entertaining and interesting.
