Racism is a condition that affects the whole human race — the entire human family. More than fifty years have passed since the Civil Rights Movement, yet here stands America, still struggling with the issue of race. But that can change if we have the courage to move toward our collective transformation. Cracking the Healer’s Code is the guidebook to help us do just that.
Within the pages of this book you’ll find:
the historical context behind the last five hundred years of our internalized racial conditioning
the roadmap for breaking through the layers of misinformation, preconceived assumptions, and stereotypes
the healing process, broken down into stages, which will empower us to claim our right to wholeness
the resources to help us connect the dots at the end of the process
Moving through the violence and trauma of our human history will not be an easy task, nor should it be. Cracking the Healer’s Code invites us to walk through the healing process and be transformed.
Author's Note: This book is based on my 30+ years of doing racial healing work with people from all walks of life. I have been facilitating a 2-day healing intensive called, Race Demystified, since 2001. The biggest lesson has been how little we are taught in school about race and racism. Without the historical information, it's difficult to make the transformation into new ways of thinking and being. My hope is that this book will help to fill in the blanks, give the reader hope and lead them to inspired action.

I love this book. It's inspiring and what our nation and world needs to heal from racism and racial conditioning. Milagros is a healer and is carrying on the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It really is a life-changing book and teaches you not only what you don't know about racism, but also how to heal from the trauma of racism, which affects all of us whether we realize it or not. I think this book helps spread peace and wholeness both in individuals, and through them, collectively. Milagros also has courses and Lunch & Learns, and they are also eye-opening and inspiring.
It was a heavy subject that I find most people tend to avoid these days. Partly, because even if they want to do something about racism, the stress of offending someone by choosing the right words was overwhelming. I like that the author looked at different perspectives and how it came to be so that true healing can occur. There's history, but I didn't feel overloaded by it or just the right amount throughout. I would suggest more people read this book.
