Dirty is right!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 🖤💜🤎💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌍
Character development: 🤬🤯☺️😲

The heroine: Holly Wix - a country singer who won first place on one of those country singing TV shows. She got a record deal out of it and is now stuck in a contract that forced her to fake relationship with a washed up star that needs publicity to stay relevant, who is also bisexual and can’t seem to keep it in his pants.

The Hero(es): Creighton Karas - a Wall Street billionaire who is bored with all the social climbing women in his life he is pleasantly surprised by the submissive girl he meets in a hotel bar on New Year’s eve. However, she disappears in the morning without even giving him her name.

The story: Creighton takes unusual methods to find his one night stand and he and Holly soon find them selves married with conflicting careers. He expects her to drop everything and stay in New York because that is where he lives and works, but she is on tour and expected to jump whenever the record label says so.

The narration is great. There is dual POV narration and the female narrator Elena May has a perfect southern twang for Holly as an upcoming country singer. The male narrators Sebastian York has a deep male voice that is perfect for the filthy parts and sounds intelligent, so is perfect for the character of Creighton as well.

The story is a good one, I liked the give and take between the two main characters and the way they both had some periods of insecurity and I loved the how the character of Creighton was dominant and possessive but he was the first to know his feelings and he was able to compromise so much for Holly and her dreams. The romance is both sweet and hot and there are plenty of super steamy scenes.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

I listened to the audio version of the Dirty Billionaire Trilogy and the narration was top notch as always. Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York are definitely at the top of my favorite narrators. And Creighton and Holly's story is simply AMAZING!

Audible. This was terrible. Narrators weren't bad, but this fucking story was fucking awful!

He was obsessively in lust and she didn't know what the fuck to do with that. Don't be fooled, this is not a love story, it kept trying to make it what it's not. The dude smelled like forever alone until he happened to tap that ass. He had no redeeming qualities, he just took what he wanted and then inserted his ass in her life. He couldn't take no for an answer, fucking pathetic and stalkerish and not in that deliciously sick Aero (That Sik Luv) kind of way. He had no personality, jealous over the stupidest shit, controlling and way overstepping.

Don't get me started on that dumbass fucking reveal/introduction at the end. What the actual fuck was that? LMAO that was so cringy to listen to, I would've def skipped through that if I was reading. So fucking bad, it was really bad lmao.

She was an annoying little cunt who had too much woe is me to like her. She seemed very childish throughout a good portion of this series, and I think the narrator helped me not focus too much of the stupidity that is Holly. LMAO I want to double check if that's her name, but I just can't be fucked to care.

This was total and complete ass. I know I already said that in so many words, but it begs to be repeated. Holy shit.

Three stories in one in The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy erotic romance series and revolving around Holly Wix, a rising country-and-western star, and Creighton Karas, a dominant billionaire.

My Take
March is using a first person dual protagonist point-of-view from Holly’s and Creighton’s perspectives. It gives us a down and dirty insight into how each character thinks, which includes their past histories. March does do a good job of filling us in without using any info dumps!

It’s been a hideous few months as Holly discovers the backstabbing world of music. A constant play of balancing the public’s perspective of the artist.

That Tana. She does put the important points out there for Holly. And really, what else can Holly do, lol.

It’s a battle royal for Holly. Creighton simply takes what he wants and expects his “women” to do anything he says. Holly may be a submissive in the bedroom, but she is not one anywhere else. And she does not care about his reputation or his money. It makes for interesting interactions.

Creighton doesn’t expect this marriage to last — Holly sure doesn’t, so it’s a fun ride as their expectations evolve. There is a big benefit of this situation, as events inspire Holly in writing any number of songs that will be hits.
”You’ve got this voice that grabs a man by the throat and won’t let go until the last note fades.”
The marriage is a challenge to both of them, as Holly learns to trust a man, and Creighton learns to think of another.

I like Creighton’s reaction when he has a minute to take in the truth of his parentage. It does answer Damon’s attitude, not satisfactorily to me, and creates a deus ex machina for that ending.

This trilogy looks at the business of being a billionaire and managing one’s empire, at least on the surface; it dives deeper on the music business with Holly and Creighton experiencing each other’s dramas and the business expectations of each.

For all of its length, it’s a quick read, for it’s not that complex with few characters. Yet it is a fun read.

The Story
Holly had thought anything would be worth it to gain a career as a country-and western singer, but J.C. Hughes’ “antics” are too much. Worse yet is that the record company is threatening her to endure it or be shunted home.

Luckily for Holly, her friend Tana is very supportive.

The Characters
Holly Wickman, a.k.a. Holly Wix, is an aspiring country-and-western singer from Kentucky, who won in a make-me-a-star TV show, Country Dreams . Eliza Belle is her new guitar. Cherry Bomb is her new Mustang.

The very dominant Creighton Karas is a young billionaire who talks dirty, is easily bored, and can get any woman he wants. Cannon Freeman, Crey’s best friend, is his COO and executive vice-president who oversees the division presidents. I think Jeannette is Cannon’s wife. Mr Cramer is one of the Karas corporate lawyers.

Shaw MacLeod, his ex-wife, is CEO of the chain of luxury MacLeod resorts. Annika Fredickson is a vicious bitch Holly meets at the MOMA Gala. Captain Jim is one of Crey’s pilots. Michael is his driver. Dr Wylie is Creighton’s personal physician.

David Karas, Creighton and Greer’s dad, was Damon’s brother. The disgusting Uncle Damon and Aunt Katherine Karas raised Creighton and his sister, Greer, when their parents were killed. Tristan is Greer’s boyfriend. Elisabetta is Uncle Damon’s housekeeper.

Tana Vines was the Female Country Artist of the Year 10 years ago. She’s married to Mick Vines, who has been awarded Entertainer of the Year four or five times in that time. A power couple. Gemma is their live-in nanny.

Homegrown Records is . . .
. . . a Nashville-based record company with Morty and Jim as the scumbag partners with no scruples. Vale Garcia is a Grammy-winning songwriter.

Holly’s band includes Lonnie, the drummer; Darius, the bass player; and, Chance is the manager. Chaz and Marcus are the bodyguards Creighton hires. More security includes Orrin Steel. Boone “BT” Thrasher is a supportive country star. His girlfriend is a grade-A bitch whom no one likes.

J.C. Hughes is a country star on the wane and a closet bisexual.

Miranda Lambert is another rising star and married to a fellow country singer.

New York City
The Rose Club is the bar Holly first enters. Aric is the bartender.

Gold Haven, Kentucky, is . . .
. . . where Holly grew up. Gran is the woman who gave fourteen-year-old Holly a decent childhood. Holly’s mother, Gran’s daughter, is scum. In every sense of the word. Benny, a friend of Gran’s, is the owner of Pints and Pins, a.k.a. Brews and Balls, a bowling alley that serves up food. Mary Jane Devo had been Holly’s friend back home. Mrs Finchly had been Gran’s next-door neighbor. Johnny Dagen had been a jerk. Logan Brantley had been the premier bad boy of all bad boys back when Holly was in high school. Now he owns the local garage (he bought it with help from Chuck) and has some surprises for Holly. Dolores Maynard does amazing things with leather. Leander is Dolores’ grandson.

James had been Creighton’s best childhood friend in Papua New Guinea. The Yapper is a gossip rag.

The Cover and Title
The cover is black with a thin gold metallic border around the book’s perimeter. The title takes up the top two-thirds while the author’s name, in the bottom third, both use a metallic gold gradient. Between the author’s first and last names is an info blurb also in metallic gold.

The title encompasses all three stories in The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy.

Country star meets alpha millionaire in Meghan March’s delightful Dirty Billionaire trilogy. I have to admit, I am just now discovering Meghan March and she is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She loves to write cliffhangers, which I usually try to avoid. However, I just can’t seem to resist her books. I listened to this as an audiobook and thought the narrators did a great job. In fact, once I started this book, I couldn’t put it down, I needed to know what would happen next.

I thoroughly enjoyed these three books, Dirty Billionaire, Dirty Pleasures and Dirty Together. Creighton and Holly’s story is enthralling and kept me wanting more. They have exploding chemistry and their story kept me riveted.

Creighton is a demanding, domineering alpha male and I loved him right along with Holly. Holly is the only one who sees Creighton’s softer side. He is a tough talking, successful businessman who doesn’t take no for an answer.

Holly is different from all the other women Creighton meets. She doesn’t cater to him, he has to chase her. Something he isn’t used to doing. I found it easy to like Holly. She is a county star but her life isn’t as wonderful as it seems. Holly is an up and coming country singer when she first meets billionaire, Creighton and from the moment they meet, it is like an explosion. I loved these two together and I thoroughly loved reading their story.

I Only Read #1

3 Stars

I only read book #1 and it was just 'Okay'. I really didn't like Holly. At All.
So maybe one day I will read the other 2 books but I seriously doubt it.
This author has much better books out there.
Don't judge her work from this one.

I listened to the audio version read Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York. York’s voice has a raspy quality I find sexy and Wolfe conveys a lot of emotion with hers. Together, they made the book easy to listen to from an auditory perspective.

After a one night stand on Christmas Eve, a billionaire wakes up to find that the woman has left him before he is done having fun with her body. His ego can’t take this, so he places a “missed connections“ ad that goes viral, detailing everything they did the night before. I would’ve stood him up just for that, but Holly has reasons for going to meet him on New Year’s Eve and accepting his marriage proposal. Slowly, he realizes he hasn’t just married her to have access to sex with her, but because he actually loves her.

And if any of that sounds unbelievable, wait until you get to the ending of the third book.

Content warnings
- Super intense possessiveness.
- he claims ownership over her body.
- he says, “she has attitude, but she’s untrained and needs guidance on how to channel it. And that’s where I come in.”
- She is 22 and he is 33.
- she is making enough to barely scrape by and he has (by his own estimation) more money than he can spend in five lifetimes.
- although she never expresses feeling frightened of him, the fact that he is tall and strong enough to lift her off the ground adds to a lot of the threats he makes.
- A lot of casual ableism (Mostly related to mental illness, but some related to vision)
- stalking/you can’t leave me
- parental neglect and abuse
- not knowing who your father was
- not being able to trust parents or guardians
- some stigma against sex workers and a whole lot of slut shaming.
- internalized stigma against being poor
- repeated use of the term “lady parts“
- being a “beard“ for a gay man
- marital secrets, including an ex-wife you weren’t told about
- A member of the mafia, portrayed as a rather decent man.
- Missionaries in a developing community
- mass shooting (Not vividly described)
- at one point, he sees her stumble. Another man reaches out and steadies her so that she doesn’t fall. He is jealous that another man has touched her. While they were fully clothed. And he prevented her from physical pain.
- at one point, an executive at the company observes the way Creighton treats Holly. This person says, “oh no, he did not.“ And we are told that this was said by a Black man, although no other descriptive information is given for him. He is seen one more time and Creighton thinks to himself that he must learn this man’s name. The reason for this is not known. This is the only time skin color is mentioned for any character, leading one to believe that all other characters are white, despite that significant portions of the plot take place in New York City, San Antonio, and Nashville.

Take every billionaire romance cliche... Alpha asshole, manwhore, controlling, spoiled, dominant in the bedroom, likes his "innocent" heroine, sex-forward, used to getting his way.

And add a heroine that knows her boundaries and sets them with him...

And you get a trashy, but completely satisfying story.

The hero goes from an over the top controlling manwhore to a loving alpha who lavishes kindness on his wife.

This relationship starts as a very hot one night stand with a heroine frustrated that her life is out of her control and she just wants one very sexy night before some hard choices loom before her.

The hero is super controlling and directive in getting his way from the very start. And he brags in his mind about getting any woman he wants. So, I was set up to dislike him royally.

And then... SHE LEFT HIM WHILE HE WAS STILL SLEEPING!!!

That is the point where I thought, "hm. This book might be interesting."

And it was. Throughout the series, I just giggled as I watched Holly set boundaries. She was okay with submitting in the bedroom... to a point. She was okay with him taking control... to a point. And when he tried to press past what she was okay with, she walked, pushed, or set her foot down.

And credit to our hero because he listened and stepped back.

This was not one of those frustrating stories where the hero keeps pushing even though she said no. Nor is it a controlling asshole with a doormat woman.

Don't get me wrong. This dude was not my future #bookboyfriend. He grows and changes and it's delightful to see, but I would never want to date him.

But it was a really fun time. And eventually, he won her trust and she gave it... and them coming together towards the end was sooo fun to see.

And then the author has drama come out of the woodwork towards the very end. I was nervous. But it didn't affect the relationship or end up spoiling the wrapup. So, I read it and moved on.

No OW/OM drama... tho he does have a very catty ex-wife and the hero has jealousy/possessiveness issues with other men being around the heroine, but it didn't feel too bad to me.

Holly Wix is a up and coming country singer. After winning an American Idol-like contest she is signed by a record label that has her living her dream but like a pauper. She’s hog tied to her record label and feels completely out of control of her own life. On Christmas Eve, Holly meets Creighton Karas in a hotel bar in NYC between concert tours.

It's Hot!

The beginning starts out as straight up, hot, steamy unapologetic sex becomes a quest to find the girl after this amazing one-night stand. I’m not giving it away but I will say this story (the trilogy) starts backwards. Here’s what I mean. As romances go, we always expect the meet cute and then the tension builds as the characters learn more and more about each other. Not this baby. It starts hot and steamy right from the beginning. This series is not for the fainthearted.

Learned A Few Things

Megan March (God bless her) taught this middle-aged gal a thing or two about how to maximize a night of passion. Creighton and Holly’s story leads you down a path of sweet love as Karas falls for this hardworking country girl. Each time, Holly shows her vulnerable side, Creighton is slayed and falls in love with her a little bit more.

Pulled an Audible

I listened to the whole trilogy on Audible as I traveled in the car (by myself). You are encouraged to do the same since Ms. March uses cliffhangers for the first two books. But only do so if you like E.L. James or Lauren Landish, etc. Ms. March is not sugarcoating it when she calls it Dirty…it is. But, oh so worth it!

You can find Dirty Trilogy on Amazon.com – Here!

Book 149 of 2023

I stumbled across The Dirty Billionaire series when @MeghanMarch put the first book up for free on Stuff Your Kindle day. So, I got into it and honestly, I liked it. For me it was the best of the three books, though in reality the length is more like lengthy novellas -- with all three together it was just one big book. I was intrigued by the billionaire, Creighton and his one-night stand with Holly, who is our aspiring country star. The first book prompted me to buy the second and third in the series to see what happens. The second book was more about actually flushing out a relationship between the two, which is honestly a bit toxic but steamy for sure. The last book for me was the dud of the bunch, going into the "outrageous" category of plausibility. There was a lot to like here with Creighton and Holly once they left the toxic space and into a more stable relationship, but then the side story took such crazy twists that it was pretty out there. Overall, there was enough for me to enjoy that I want to read the spin-off duet for Creighton's sister, but I am going to safely land this at three stars.

I downloaded the free compiled version of this trilogy. It was entertaining with a fun plot that I didn't predict. It's not technically a trilogy - as I was with the Mount trilogy, I'm surprised this isn't just called a book, since it was one cohesive story, but as annoying as serials are, that's how this author has chosen to write. A shame, because she is a good author. One star off for needlessly splitting it - I will never 5-star a book (not even one I got for free) that normally charges x3 for one story with one couple, but if that way of releasing books ever changes, she'd easily be a consistent 5-star author! I have two more novellas (aka one book) from Ms. March to read before I decide if I'll start buying her books with my hard earned money. If the first books in a series didn't end with cliffhangers, I would easily add her to my list of authors to autobuy. But the cliffhanger novellas not compiled into one book before being released just screams of fanfiction vs. legitimate release, no matter how talented the author.

Dirty Billionaire Trilogy (Dirty Billionaire #1-3) was a great read by Meghan March. This set consists of; Dirty Billionaire, Dirty Pleasures, and Dirty Together. Dirty Billionaire (Dirty Billionaire #1) was a great read by Meghan March. Creighton Karas is a billionaire with a huge ego. He has a chance meeting with singer Holly Six They spend a night together and only expected it to be one night. But that changes when he makes a missed connection that goes viral. Dirty Pleasures (Dirty Billionaire #2) was a good read by Meghan March. Holly and Creighton married but never expected to feel owned. She didn't expect to fall for him and she's fighting with the idea of being owned by him. Dirty Together (Dirty Billionaire #3) was a good read by Meghan March. Creighton loves that Holly is his wife, but not that she keeps running away. He will do anything to give her the happily ever after she deserves. I really enjoyed this book and cant wait to read more by the author.

I absolutely loved this series.

Holly is an amazing character and Crey is perfect for her-or maybe she's perfect for him. She's from a trailer park in Kansas and he's a billionaire on Fifth avenue. They meet and have a one-night stand. She doesn't want to share names so they don't. The next morning she sneaks out while he's still asleep. He wants her so he comes up with a plan to find her. Theirs is bad case of lust at firt sight that slowly develops into a lasting love.

Coming from two different worlds, they experience so many obstacles that adds a sense of realism to the story.

On the spicy scale this is 5/5 - maybe even 6. This isn't for the fainthearted. At times it's pearl clutching and sometimes, down right filthy. It gives new meaning to panty melting and swoon worthy. And yes, I loved every bit of it.

Ok I read all of book two and listened to most of one and three (read what I couldn’t listen to). Narration was fabulous. The book was spicy!! He falls first, he is a total alpha prick - but learns quickly how to balance that attitude acceptably. He falls first, he chases, he grovels. He is crazy - but good crazy. She is pretty much trying to make sense of her life, and has some baggage that makes her question things. Takes her some time, but she comes around. There is a weird unneeded twist at the end, but it was sort of ok almost comical even though it maybe shouldn’t have been. Even though they have rough patches, they aren’t for long and they don’t drag out - which is my favorite kind of drama! Bring it - but work it out! Don’t waste months years with a simple miscommunication- I hate that! This was fabulous and had none of that $hit - Kras wouldn’t have stood for it 🥵

REVIEW
Score: 2.5/5
POV: Dual
Heat Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tropes: Billionaire MMC; Singer FMC; Opposites Attract; Obsessed MMC; He Falls First;

Wow, this series was just total and utter trash. Good trash and bad trash. First Book - great! It was hot, I was interested in seeing their story, MMC already obsessed; 2nd Book - meh. Holly really started to get on my last nerve. I do have to say the author wrote her age well cuz sure as hell she acted just like a 22 year old. 3rd Book - bad trash! I literally skimmed the whole thing. I honestly wanted to DNF but wanted to just complete the series. But wow it was just terrible. Honestly I’ll even say it was just stupid. Like the mafia twist??? What the actual fuck, that was soo dumb!
I definitely would not reread this. I will give this author more tries because she comes highly recommended.

Just waste my time

I'm bored to death by the - you dont understand me - troop from Holly.
She keep pushing she's the country girl who scraped her way to her own success and demand Creighton to understand and support her no matter what.
What about the opposite?
This little girl know nothing about the give and take in relationship.
Or should i say the author don't?
Cause Creighton have his own battle. His own scrapped succes. But all drown by Holly victimized her self.
And the way book 1 & 2 ended with her running?
Yeah, going through book 3 was something i should be awarded gold star🙄
To make it worse, are the people around Holly. Everyone threat Creighton if he ever dare hurt her. But no, one put some sense in her head that maybe, just maybe she can stop putting her self first and learn to give to receive

This is the story of a 22-year-old celebrity who meets a rich, controlling, crazed, age-inappropriate, bad communicator and falls for him. There is absolutely no believable logic in anyone’s actions throughout the novel. Do managers really force celebrities to date each other? Would they really throw away a greater talent in favor of a has-been? Could she really fall in love with someone who is incapable of saying what he means and who is obsessed with putting things in her butt? Would a successful businessman really squander resources in order to make his nephew miserable as payback for something he knows his nephew didn’t do?
Who cares? The story was easy to follow and so were the dirty scenes.

Do yourself a favor and download all 3 books. The first two end on cliffhangers, so you’ll definitely want to get started on the next one immediately.
I read the Dirty Girl series first, and I might just re-read that again shortly now that I’m more familiar with the backstory lol. Creighton was such a controlling jackass in that series! What happened?! He definitely has his overly-possessive & ridiculous alpha moments in this series, but apart from being a self-absorbed, inconsiderate, dumbass, he’s not usually TOO bad. And at times, he’s downright sweet! And Holly is just the bomb. I adore her! She’s such a badass & I love that she has no problem biting back & speaking her mind & demanding what she knows she deserves. Love her!

I liked this! It read more like one book, so either I’m just a super fast reader or the books were individually shorter. Both MC’s were relatable and felt real. I really appreciated how the author wrote about their individual traumas and how each of them were shaped by that trauma. Their banter flowed and felt natural. I didn’t have any cringe worthy moments while reading. Solid 3 stars from me!

*SPOILER*

One thing I wish the author would have done was expand on Creighton’s newfound info at the end of book 3. He finds out his dad is not his dad, who his dad is, and meets his dad all in the span of a few pages. I thought the author could have explored this plot point so much more!

Dirty Indeed!!!

This was a good read. Captive, fast paced and well written with only the ending a bit odd. It went from country girl meets city boy, to having city boy fall in love with her, to her running from what her heart tells her, to a corporate debacle that ends in a slight mob connection that you maybe didn't see coming. The twist at the end of who Crey's biological dad is I just did not see coming. The end felt a bit rushed with a poor introduction to the mafia world. Just didn't do justice to the torrid love affair that was built throughout book 1 and 2. If you are gonna write a trilogy then you might as well end it right. Overall this was a unique and captivating story with some well written dirty sex scenes that made you go hell
yeah!

I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy of books, especially because it was bundled into one. Well worth a credit. Although the story was highly unbelievable (proposing after a one night stand?!?!), it was still very enjoyable. There was a ton of drama though and way too much sleaziness from Holly’s record company. I was kind of surprised at how long it took for Creighton to just step in and take over though.

It was a good listen though, especially given that it was Elena & Sebastian. They are a powerhouse duo together and I’d listen to them read about anything. There were a couple mistakes as to the character “voices” in the first book. But they were easy to get past.

Loved this trilogy!

The characters are strong, colorful and constantly changing. Holly is a country western singer/songwriter who is pretending to be a famous singer's girlfriend to avoid a scandal. It's Christmas eve and she wanders into the hotel bar where she has her first encounter with the infamous billionaire, Creighton Karas. Their chemistry is off the charts but after their encounter in his room, she slips out because she feels she's not in his league. Their journey is fascinating and filled with unexpected moments as they both slowly come together and learn to trust each other and themselves. Lots of spice, law and the unexpected.

I'm reviewing this trilogy as a whole because each book is short enough that, in my mind, they really make up one complete story.

I listened to the series on Libby as a sort of palette cleanser, and I ended up enjoying it more than I expected. Some plot points introduced in the final book felt like they could’ve been developed earlier, but overall it was a fun ride.

Admittedly, the trilogy leans heavily on the spice with just a sprinkle of plot, but I still found myself liking Creighton and Holly by the end. They were definitely annoying when they argued, but ultimately entertaining.

I also noticed there are books featuring other characters in this world, so I’ll probably keep going!

Loved this trilogy. Holly was brilliant. Loved her strength, character, her funny side.
Creighton was... sigh....
Pace was good. Kept me hooked from the beginning. I wished for a few things to turn out differently, but those didn't negatively affect how I feel about this trio.
This is the first time I read anything from Meghan March, and I'm looking forward to reading more.
I don't usually like duals and triologies because I hate to be left hanging. So this was perfect. All 3 books are already available and I could read them without a break.
