From International best-selling author Jessica Ruben comes a new enemies-to-lovers, arranged-marriage, stand-alone romance—with a dark, Mafia twist.
Talia My only goal in life is to play the cello in a world-famous orchestra. Unfortunately, education, lessons, and connections don’t come cheap. So, when the most notorious Mafia boss in New York City offers me millions to marry one of his men, I have two choices: take the money and follow my dreams, or risk death. I choose to take the money. But if I had known who my husband would be, I would have picked death. Leo might be gorgeous and lethal, but he has never met a woman who refuses to bow.
Leo After being pushed out of my country, I lost my woman, my business, and my life. The streets of New York City are dangerous but nothing compared to the wrath growing within me. Joining the Mafia is a natural progression, especially when they help quench my thirst for revenge. When the boss offers me a marriage that will help me reach vengeance, I jump at the chance. I figure she’ll be a sweet, quiet girl … Not the stuck-up musician from the club. She thinks she can always get the last word, but I’m on a warpath that she can’t derail. She can either fall in line or fall into pieces.

Break on through is the new book by Jessica Ruben from her Shqiptare mafia and it was awesome! Leo became a part of the shqiptare mafia when his mother and brother lied and betrayed him and he has spent the last few years working for the mafia and plotting revenge and waiting for his opportunity to return home and take back what was suppose to be his legacy as the first born son. Filled with cold rage, its all he thinks of! But when he needs to marry so he can get his visa, Nico sets him up with the smart talking and snarky Talia who doesn't give a shit who you are and will throw down in a second no matter even if you are one of the most feared soldiers in the shqiptare mafia! The whole enemies to lovers vibe was hot! These two knocked heads more then one time and were most people would back off from the hot headed Leo and do what their told Talia just kept pushing buttons. These two had great chemistry and the storyline was awesome. I love this series by Jessica Ruben! She's a great storyteller and knows how to build the heat. This can be read as a standalone but the whole series is awesome. Until next time Luv's💕💋
Development was inadequate and there were a lot of unnecessary descriptions. The characters shared an attraction but I didn’t feel any strong feelings.
It was ok. I won’t deny that Break on Through were at times sexy, and I had a fun time reading it. As I write this review down, it’s been a few days since I’ve read the book and honestly speaking? I forgot the storyline..I went through my notes and went “Oh yea now I remember”. To be fair, I think I had way too much expectation particularly because the blurb really got me. The characters were ok. Storyline were at times predictable and cheesy… As a romance reader, I do love an HEA but sometimes, I want…no..need the HEA to not be romantic in a way that makes my scrunch my face cause it’s a little eh and cheesy. I want “the swoon”. As a die hard fan of the mafia romance, It was fun to read a romance book about the Albanian mafia. I don’t think I’ve much of that so it was interesting.
I love this book for so many reasons, one being that Jessica is such a phemomenal writer. I have been with her ever since her debut novel and she continues to set the bar for the type of stories I want to read.
I hold her words in such high regards because not only does she bring the spice, intensity and swoon worthy moments to her books but her love stories often come with an economic, social, and cultural message and Break on Through was no different, I always come away feeling more educated.
Leave it to Jessica to find a creative and fresh take on a trope that for me can often be redundant. If I'm being honest, Mafia romance has become a bit stagnant for me and marriage of convenience has never been a favorite of mine because I'm often left disappointed at the same old angle but this is perfection and so well written so smart and well paced with a heroine that I'm obsessed with because she's the opposite of a door mat.
Break On Through is lush, vivid and raw! A fresh take on marriage of convenience that grabbed me from page one. Betrayal, lies, secrets, revenge and off the charts chemistry....Talia and Leo are unputdownable!
Leo just might be my favorite hero in this series! He is EVERYTHING!!!! More details to come.
🖤NOW AVAILABLE🖤 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐎𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, by International best-selling author Jessica Ruben, is live! This is a new enemies-to-lovers, arranged-marriage, stand-alone romance—with a Mafia twist, that you won’t want to miss!

Blurb: Talia: My only goal in life is to play the cello in a world-famous orchestra. Unfortunately, education, lessons, and connections don’t come cheap. So, when the most notorious Mafia boss in New York City offers me millions to marry one of his men, I have two choices: take the money and follow my dreams, or risk death. I choose to take the money. Leo: After being pushed out of my country, I lost my woman, my business, and my life. The streets of New York City are dangerous but nothing compared to the wrath growing within me. Joining the Mafia is a natural progression, especially when they help quench my thirst for revenge. When the boss offers me a marriage that will help me reach vengeance, I jump at the chance. “I’m not a good man, and I have nothing to give a woman like you. My heart, at this point, is ice. But while you’re with me, I will protect you like my own. And when this is done, you’ll be free.”
Break on Through is the third book in the Mafia Kingdom series, and each book can be read as a standalone. We’ve really been enjoying this series – firstly with Light My Fire, then Love Her Madly, and now Talia and Leo’s enemies to lovers, arranged marriage mafia romance in Book #3.
After being deceived in a horribly cruel way by his Mum and twin brother, Leo finds himself a long way from his Kosovo home, alone in New York – jobless and homeless, desperate to make something of himself and exact revenge on those responsible for his predicament.
‘It happened to me once in the greatest way possible, but I won’t be made into the fool again.’
A chance meeting would see him become a successful member of the Mafia Sqiptare, a made man in his own right, though three years down the track, Leo’s thirst for revenge on his brother, and those who deceived him is still first and foremost on his mind. He’s angry and won’t rest until he has put the wrongs enacted on him, to right.
‘Young or old, deception and lies are not tolerable.’
The promise of $5 million dollars is enough to convince Talia Mizrani to agree (though, she didn’t really have much say in it) to an arranged marriage with Leo. Talia, a talented music student who dreams of playing for the New York Philharmonic orchestra, needs money for schooling. This is the perfect opportunity for her, as Leo agrees that once his plan is completed, he agrees to allow her to divorce him. But we all know what happens when the heart gets involved!
‘Upsettingly beautiful. Her dark eyes are nothing short of overpowering.’
Break on Through was a somewhat tame addition to Jessica Reuben’s mafia romance series in comparison to the previous books -but nevertheless- we enjoyed it! Low-level angst told in dual POV it was an entertaining -easy to read- enemies to lovers, arranged marriage romance in which the author dealt with the themes beautifully. The growth of both Leo and Talia was apparent throughout the story, and we loved how fierce Talia was!
Break on Through is a stand-alone in the Sex.Rock.Mafia series. Set in the Mafia world. The men are manly, dominating, strong and very much “in charge.” The story is a roller coaster of emotions and intensity. Jessica Ruben’s writing will have you picturing the rich cultures and traditions laced throughout the book. Honor, loyalty and family will all be tested.
Leo has been betrayed in the worse kind of way. He finds himself thousands of miles away from Albania with no home, no fiancée and no business. He does however have luck. And luck leads him to connect with other Albanians who introduce him to Nico and Darius – heads of the Shqiptare (Albanian) Mafia. He seeks revenge and they want to help their “brother” in getting it.
I work and live and demand respect because if I don’t demand it, I will never get it.
Talia is focused and goal oriented. She has worked too hard to give up her dream of playing cello for the New York Philharmonic. Classes at NYU and lessons have not only left her short on cash but short on time as she must focus all of her mind, body and soul on her music. She may seem stuck-up but she is strong minded and determined to get what she has worked her whole life for. Accepting money for marriage was not an easy choice. Finding out her husband was Leo did not go over well.
It starts out with many misconceptions and misunderstandings. There is a push and pull between Leo and Talia. They both have tempers. But, slowly Leo and Talia develop a friendship and then more. Each one having to give and take in ways they are not accustomed to.
Talia is sincere and she has some tough choices to make. Leo is fighting against his natural propensity to keep women emotionally at bay. He is focused on his revenge. They fall into a beautiful and natural rhythm that leads them to love. Their chemistry is off-the-charts. Leo is so intense, confident and smoking hot! Talia too is confident and strong willed.
Somehow, even with our forced marriage and her big mouth, her tough nature and sharp wit, and despite the fact that she is literally nothing like what I thought I liked in a woman, she makes me happy.
Jessica Ruben writes such beautiful stories! They will have your heart thumping all over the place and Break On Through is no exception! It is packed with emotion, anxiety and sexual tension.
Jessica Ruben wow’d me with her debut - Rising (Vincent & Eve). She followed it up with Reckoning and Redemption. The Vincent & Eve trilogy set the bar high. I have been excited watching the Mafia series come to life.
There are cameos from Light My Fire, and Love Her Madly. Although the series is interconnected I never felt like I was missing anything. I really loved it. And Vincent & Eve fans look out for a few “mentions” and a run-in with a shady character. Ironically there is a “V&E” sneak peek at the end and he is in the scene – yikes!
I say this about every Jessica Ruben book I read, but I mean it this time guys I really do. This is my new favourite book! Well, until Jessica’s next release any way. Break On Through was a story I didn’t realise I needed until I started reading. It pulled me in from the very beginning and held me within its pages until the very end.
Break On Through is set within the Mafia Kingdom series, and although it is a whole new story and can be read as a standalone. For me, who has read all of Jessica’s novels in order, it felt like I was returning home from a long vacation. I met up with familiar and loved characters from the previous books and caught a glimpse into where their lives are at present. Leo and Talia are a wonderful addition to the Shqiptare family. Their story was fresh and exciting and had me laughing one minute, and swooning the next.
Talia is something else. She’s feisty and head strong and can hold her own even against the most terrifying opponents. I loved her, and I loved her and Leo’s story together. It wasn’t a typical arranged marriage situation, where the characters hate on each other throughout most of the book, and then fall in love by the end. Without giving too much away, Leo and Talia knew what they were getting themselves into. They both had something to gain from it, and they tried to make it work to reach their goals.
Leo, I found to be a very interesting character. I really enjoyed his journey, from leaving his home to having to start a whole new chapter in his life from scratch. To then be taken under the wing of Nico and join the Shqiptare mafia. I felt sorry for Leo, and that revenge he so desperately wanted, I wanted to see happen. I think I may have gripped my Kindle a little too tightly during some of the earlier chapters involving Leo, because my Kindle case has now snapped.
Nobody can pull me out of a book slump better than JR. The trouble is she puts me right back into it once I’m done. I love a Mafia Romance and nobody writes it better. Break On Through is an amazingly fantastic read that was most definitely worth the wait. I would happily wait years for Ruben’s next novel, because she hits the mark every single time, and never ever disappoints. I can’t wait to see what Jessica has up her sleeve for us next.

This story was beautifully crafted and told - from Albania to NYC this author had me pulled in from the first pages.
This is not your typical arranged marriage story - it is a bit forbidden, set in the mafia world, with an anti-hero looking for vengeance, and a tough as nails heroine cello player who is in it to only further her music career. It was gripping, surprising, and the angsty banter and chemistry were off the charts.
Leo's backstory is heartbreaking, yet his life in the present is dark and dangerous. I didn't know if he would win me over to claim Talia's heart, but J Ruben did not do me wrong! I fell hard for this man, and loved the character development for both this hero and Talia.
The setting is perfect, the side characters and this mafia world are captivating, and the passion between Leo & Talia will leave you swooning. Well done once again J Ruben!
Jessica Ruben has once again penned a book that had me addicted. Leo and Talia’s story fed my addiction with every moment that had on the pages; their off the charts chemistry and interaction with returning characters. The authors riveting storyline had me finishing this book in one sitting. Break On Through can be read as a standalone which is great for newbies but I highly recommend reading all the books. I look forward to more from this amazing author.
Strong story, great characters, fun banter. Maybe not the typical dark and gruesome mafia style story as so many others, this one is more character driven and with a lighter vibe. A enemies to friends to fwb to love 💕
The MCs don’t meet until a few chapters in and both MCs are involved with others love interest previous to meeting, which felt a bit off. There is a typical dumb and stubborn breakup, shattering the MCs. Although there’s way too much repetitive whining for my taste, it does works out and it does actually wrap up the character growth nicely.
This was my first book by the author -even though I jumped into book 3/3- I enjoyed it and might read the first two as well.
There was a lot sexist remarks in this I found. It was obviously used to set the world up but I still wasn't a fan.
I also don't think this felt like a "mafia" book more like a book with one character who happened to have mafia ties. I liked the concept of this book but it felt disconnected from the other books in the series.
Profoundly Stunning!! Leo and Talia’s story is engaging, enticing and compelling. Intense and captivating characters with a consuming, alluring and intriguing storyline. Outstandingly written Jessica.🎉😍 Congratulations, Leo and Talia’s story is a beautiful and passionate page-turner. I was hooked from the very first chapter .👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This was my first book by Jessica Ruben. I liked the premise of this book but in the end, it didn't deliver. The writing style was okay but it felt a little off. The sex scenes were not very descriptive and I'm not sure if she was leaving things for our imagination but if that was the intention then just don't start. In my opinion, if a writer wants to put sex scenes in her book you either do it properly or you just mention that it happened and then they wake up the next day. That's all. Don't do half the job because it doesn't really bring anything into the story. Also, some of the conversations felt a little juvenile, and also the argument at the very end was just stupid. I felt that the last thing that split them apart was plain silly and the 'don't talk to me ever again' is just stupid. I was a little disappointed as there were a lot of reviews that gave this book 5 stars. Maybe because of that, I was a little prejudiced and expected something better. I don't think I'll be reading more books by this author.

Jessica did it again. I was in love with the story from the first page. And it's in my favorite genre enemies to lovers.
Story evolves around Leo, who is part of Mafia and Talia, gifted cello player and student. Leo in need of a wife for his citizenship and Talia who needs money to pay her student loans.
So when Nico offers them a deal, they both take a chance in this marriage of convenience. At first they deny their chemistry, Leo thinking only about revenge and Talia about school. As story continues they grow closer and become friends and lovers.
But their past is hunting them. Will they find their happily ever afters or is this the end? Read the book, you won't regret it.
Story is full of action, sexy and hot just like the main characters, who are more alike than the think. They are both hard working, stubborn, loyal, with their minds set on the goals.
PS: Nico is still my favourite Mafia boss and I love the whole Mafia Kingdom series. You can see that the author put a lot of effort, time and research into it.
Break on Through is Book #3 in the Mafia Kingdom series. Are they interconnected? Yes. Can you read them as standalones? Absolutely. Though, I get such a kick out of the cameos, so I’m glad that I’ve read them all.
Talia is single minded with a laser sharp focus on ONE thing – her cello. It is her life’s blood and every sacrifice, every dollar, every minute she has spent in furtherance of that dream has been worth it. Finding herself with few resources, she is made an offer, one that she can’t afford to refuse. Little did she know that she’d have to dance with the devil. A very sexy, very dangerous devil who also happens to be her husband.
Leo is a man betrayed by those he trusted. Finding himself far from home, he must find a new family. One that will help him achieve his ultimate goal. The need for satisfaction of the deep burning thirst for revenge that burns within him is the reason why he breathes. Now he’s handed the perfect opportunity and it’s not going the way he planned. His wife is about to learn that he is the kind of man that doesn’t play games.
A marriage that is made with a blood oath is not an ideal way to start a relationship but here they are both in it. Neither one expecting friendship but they find it. Neither one expecting the attraction between them, but it is undeniable. Lies and secrets have no place in a marriage. Unfortunately, it brings Leo back to square one and destroys the fragile trust between them. Can they find their way back to each other despite the odds being against it?
Jessica Ruben has a way of bringing us into the world of the Shqiptare. It’s almost like she has firsthand experience. I’m here for it. She has a way of crafting a story that is both emotional and entertaining with plenty of steam and compelling characters. Break on Through is no exception.
Break On Through is the third installment in the Mafia Kingdom series where we previously met Nico and Darius. Leo may very well be my favorite out of the three so far! Betrayed by his twin brother and mother he finds himself stranded in a new country with no money, no where to go, and no plan to his name. But he quickly finds himself in the folds of the shqiptare. With the backing of powerful men like Nico and Darius he sets to destroy the people who had taken everything away from him.
Overall story I really loved. I’m a huge sucker for mafia books and Leo is the definition of arrogant, strong, and alpha mobster. However, I could not stand Talia at the beginning of this book. She came off so high handed considering what she herself was doing for the sake of her schooling. She was rude despite putting herself in a position with one man within the fold yet looked down on them when she found herself in another arrangement with another man in the same group. Thankfully I found her growing on me as she dropped the attitude and started becoming more herself and showing her true emotions. Besides Talia the only other issue I had was the pacing of the story. Some parts seemed like things were moving a bit slower to only jump ahead rather quickly then towards the end move at a good pace. Which wasn’t a huge deal but caught me off guard one or two times in the middle. I did love seeing all the previous couples and the side characters in this world. I also loved the tie in mentions of the Italian mob from the Vincent and Eve series (which I would love to see a Tom spin off as he takes reign of that group lol)
Break on Through is like nothing else you will read this year!
Break on Through was completely unexpected. The characters were both tougher than tough, and falling for each other was no easy feat. It opens with the mesmerizing portraits of a betrayed Albanian lost in a strange land and a musician who is paying a high and dangerous cost to reach for her dreams.
Leo and Talia are hypnotized by each other at first glance, right up until they start speaking. Enter a fiery banter which flies off the page from their first encounter to their surprise arranged marriage and life as a forced couple. Leo and Talia are like magnets, at first repelling each other and then coming together in a charged and unavoidable rush.
The unexpected part of Break on Through is that the greatest tension in this story comes not from the Albanian mafia, but from secrets. As Leo and Talia’s love begins to bloom, there are major lies of omission which seem designed to send them off the rails eventually.
Break on Through is wholly satisfying when it focuses on the surprisingly sweet connection between Leo and Talia. It’s also nail biting, because their connection is hot as Hades but it seems so fragile at first glance. Both Leo and Talia wrap themselves in steel armor. Only a writer as gifted as Jessica Ruben could show these two tough characters becoming vulnerable in a way that is both believable and beautiful.
It’s mesmerizing watching these two strong people lay down the mantle and give themselves over to the love they can’t deny. Break on Through is like nothing else you will read this year!
Jessica Ruben is back with another mafia romance that took me around the world and back again. The opening alone had me rooting for Leo. Wanting him to not only succeed but thrive after his family did him dirty.
I enjoyed seeing Leo grow, find himself and build himself up into who he became from literally nothing. It didn't hurt that he had found his way into the good graces of a Mafia boss. And when that boss, Nico (you'll remember him if you've read the other books in the series), proposed his plan for Leo to get his revenge, it required one thing...a wife. Enter Talia.
I have to say it took me quite a while to warm up to Talia. She came off right as Leo described her, as stuck up. But she was more than that, sassy, bold, strong willed and determined to make her dreams a reality. To say she was less than pleased with her options when it came to Leo would be an understatement. And those two clashed on thoughts and plans more than they agreed.
It didn't take long for them to come to an understanding, gain some mutual respect and find their footing with the new lifestyle that landed in their lap. And along the way they started to do the thing neither of them expected, fall for one another. But Talia had a secret, and when it was revealed, it stirred up all the old feelings of betrayal that Leo was working so hard to bury.
Whew! talk about a whirlwind. From start to finish, Break on Through was intense and emotional. There was plotting and revenge, music and danger. Talia and Leo's marriage of convenience had me rooting for these two opposites, who, when it came down to it, weren't that different after all.
☆☆☆☆☆ Break On Through was a unique take on a trope I am becoming more and more in love with. This was such a great read. Jessica Ruben's books have been on my tbr for so long and I’m so glad I finally read one. This enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, mafia romance revolves around Leo and Talia. My heart really went out to Leo. Being the first born son in Albania, he rightfully inherited his father’s construction business but his twin brother was jealous. He had true love that he wanted to marry but her father didn’t want him in his daughter’s life. His dream is to go to America and go to college for a degree that will benefit the family business. Only he ends up in America with no school and no way to make money to go back home. I was so worried what would happen to him. He ends up working for the Shqiptare mafia which is the Albanian mafia. He becomes a loyal soldier hell-bent on revenge. His new boss, Nico, wants to help him get his revenge but he needs an arranged marriage to get his visa. Enter Talia. She is an amazing cello player and her dream has always been to play for the New York Philharmonic. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have the finances to achieve her dream. She is the complete opposite of a normal mafia wife. She is so feisty and doesn’t back down. If Leo thinks he’s getting a meek woman, he is sadly mistaken. But their chemistry was so good, I ate it up. Every inch of this book was fun to read and I really enjoyed the whole story especially the revenge. I have got to find time to read the rest of this author's work. I highly recommend this book. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
If you're looking for a book to finish in the same day, then this is probably a really good option.
- Mafia - Arranged Marriage - Fast paced
Let's start with the fact that I ABSOLUTELY HATE Leo's mother and you all will too.
Moving forward, the overall storyline was great and I enjoyed it but it was a bit too fast for my liking. The connection between the two main leads Leo and Talia was present but it was pretty much left to us to imagine since we were told about how they laughed and enjoyed each other's company and how they clicked pictures etc but mostly in the past tense.
I would have loved this more if the story was longer and the reason for seperation would be something less predictable. Also, the fact of what Talia did when she realised that Leo is really important and her top priority after he left for his home country, was really weird... do people do that in love? Because this being fiction and Leo being the powerful and influencal person, Talia was lucky and got everything she ever wanted wrapped with a pretty bow.
We do again meet Darius and Gini from "Love Her Madly" and I absolutely love them!
Once again, Jessica Ruben does NOT disappoint with the third book in her Mafia Kingdom series, Break On Through! She continues to enthrall with her vision, her attention to detail and her ability to immerse you in her Mafia Shqiptare world!
This one is filled to the brim with betrayal, revenge, loyalty to the family you choose, fake marriage/marriage of convenience, intense chemistry and fan-inducing sexy times between the main characters Leo and Talia and a few surprises along the way! It was awesome catching up with characters of the previous books in the series, who have significant cameos in this one, but Break On Through can totally be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I would recommend they be read in order to get the FULL ON experience of just how AMAZING this series truly is!
Jessica Ruben has been a MUST READ, auto-one-click author for me since her debut Rising (the first book in the Vincent & Eve series) which BLEW ME AWAY....and she continues to impress with each and every well-written, AMAZING and UN-PUT-DOWNABLE book since! I can't recommend this one strongly enough!!!
I have been DYING to get my hands on this book and once again, Jessica Ruben has hit it out of the park with this story. From the concept to the fluidity of the story, I was lost in the world that Ruben had created with this final book of the Mafia Kingdom series. I have been intrigued with Leo since we first met him. Having him paired with Talia, all the more fun. We get a story with so much depth, swoon, spice and twists that you cannot help but fall in love with everything that occurs within these pages. As always, we get a sassy, unique and fierce leading lady with Talia. Leo is full of mystery but so much more. It is hard to write a review without giving away spoilers and these books are meant to be read. Meant to be lived in the moment. The way this story bleeds and intertwines with the prior books in the series was just pure magic. As always with Ruben’s work, there is such a level of depth and intensity that never disappoints and I could live in this world forever. While this book can be read as a standalone, the other books would make the reading experience that much more amazing!
The third installment of the Mafia Kingdom is here and Leo takes center stage. Betrayed and alone in a new country Leo quickly finds acceptance in the Shqiptare who are a way to get his revenge. With Nico and Darius from the previous books backing him he now has the power and the skills he needs. They arrange a marriage of convenience for him with Talia who has a dubious history with the family.
Mafia books for me are one of my favourite genres I love the unashamed brutality of them and how they achieve their goals. There is no place for the weak or the squeamish and whilst there is not too much family business in this one I did like the premise of the storyline. At the beginning Talia is such an unlikeable character she is rude and so judgemental when she really has no right to be. I did find her growing on me as the story progressed when she opened herself up more. Leo was arrogant moody and closed off emotionally .... apparently everything I like in my book men 🙈 The pacing of the story at times was a little off. Some parts go at a slow pace and then we would have a time jump then it seemed to speed up towards the end. I would have liked more time spent on them building on their relationship before going full on into love. Loved seeing all the characters from the previous books as I always enjoy a good catch up.
Another stunning Mafia Kingdom novel! Break on Through has it all - a tough female main character and a larger than life, but has a softer core, alpha character.
I immediately liked Leo; from page one. His back story is heartbreaking, but through perseverance he obtains the American dream, even if through the Albanian Mafia.
Talia is a little lost in the world, even if she doesn't realize it. While she comes from a loving family, she still finds herself struggling to achieve her ultimate dream. When an arrangment/opportunity presents itself, she doesn't really have the ability to say no.
Talia is strong, but realizes quickly that she and Leo have chemistry. Even if she doesn't want to like him. Leo doesn't yet realize that a woman that is a bit of a challenge and isn't afraid to speak her mind might be exactly what he didn't know he needed.
I loved Talia and Leo and the continued story of Nick, Darius, and the rest of the shqipe! The entire series is wonderful and I cannot wait to see what comes next from Jesscia Ruben!
I am sitting here at a loss for words on how to describe what I felt for this amazing book. A book I devoured like nothing else. Absolutely drank it in and reveled in it, every spare chance I had.
While this one wasn’t as dark as the previous two, it was still just as powerful and consumed my every thought. I flew through the pages wondering if in the end Leo would get the vengeance he so desperately pursued. A revenge that ate at him….until Talia. After this tiny, fearless, feisty creature ventured into his life, his motives slowly start to change without his permission. His focus becomes skewed. And we were once again reminded why Nico is leader of the Mafia Shqiptare. Dude is crazy scary and leaves no room for disobedience or attitude.
I didn’t realize how much I needed this story in my life until I picked it up and read nearly half of it by the time midnight rolled around. BREAK ON THROUGH was exquisite in every aspect and goodness me the romance was insane. I could stand to have a Leo in my life. We all could. 5 Stars!
