I really enjoyed this guide to stretching. The descriptive instruction is broken down into easy to understand steps. I especially liked how doable these were (for a beginner, at least).
I only did the beginner stretches, since I am not in the right level of experience for the Intermediate or Advanced. However, I love that as I progress, I can slowly grow into the next steps with this one book! I won’t need to buy another two books for more advanced stretching techniques. And I can overlap beginner and intermediate as I transition.
There were a few spelling issues, which I notified the author regarding, but not troublesome enough to deduct from the quality of stretching exercises, which is what I rated this book on overall.

I highly recommend this book as it it’s concise, simple and nicely illustrated. As a busy working older mother with no time for the gym I was looking for a gentle introduction into being more flexible as well as building my core strength and this book delivers as it’s easy to follow with each exercise leading nicely onto the next. In fact making time for these stretches also provides the additional benefit of relaxation both mentally and physically so for me it’s a no-brainier really. Looking forward to some other titles from this author!
This book offers a great starting place in order to begin a stretching routine.Regardless whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate or advanced stretcher there is something more in this book at each level to challenge you. The stretches are well-illustrated and they are tersely described which makes them easy to complete. I’m back to running and strength training by just completing the beginner’s stretching exercises.
