Who all thought they wanted to break a world record and be on the Guinness Book Records when they were kids? Well, I surely did 😂 I don't think that's going to be possible anytime soon, but I did get a chance to go through the 2022 world records.
I say this is the best book for kids as well as adults to gain the most of general knowledge we can from around the globe. The editor says even due to lockdown and pandemic situation we had world records been made almost everyday and it never stopped.
We have different categories like Society, Pop culture, natural world, adventure, etc. where we get world records as well as some hall of fame inductees mentioned in this book. Hall of fame inductees like Sultan Kosen, Rose Craig, Peggy Whitson and many more.
A lot of importance this time is given to enviornment, natural wellbeing and environmental causes. Reading this book made me realise people can even do things like this and such records even existed. I guess this is a book which everyone needs to have on their shelves.

This new edition is focused on the environment and creates awareness of climate changes, recycling and how to work towards a better future.
With 10 different categories such as ENVIRONMENT, NATURAL WORLD, HUMANS, RECORDOLOGY, ADVENTURES, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY, SOCIETY, YOUNG ACHIEVERS, POP CULTURE and SPORTS, you will not only read about thousands of interesting records but also facts worth remembering.
There are cute illustrations throughout the book and the photos jump off the pages. This book will make for a perfect gift all year round but since Christmas is around the corner, it will be a great stocking filler. Perfect for all ages; you can read it as a family while discussing the different records and facts or read it by yourself and be entertained for hours, perhaps even try an attempt at breaking or creating your own record.
Some of the things I found interesting:
- Kangaroos can only move in a forward motion.
- The tallest tree is in North America, Coast Redwood (116.07m).
- First expedition to reach the South Pole, 14 Dec 1911.
- Coffee-bean taster Gennaro Pelliccia has the highest-insured tongue.
- Black Panther is the highest-grossing superhero origin movie.
There are so many amazing records and facts waiting for you to be discovered in this new edition.

I love these books

Und wieder ist ein Jahr vergangen und schon halte ich die Guinnes World Records 2022 in Händen.
Schon letztes Jahr habe ich, wie zuvor schon etliche Male, mit meiner Familie beisammen gesessen und gemeinsam durch diese Sammlung geblättert.
Diese Serie hat für mich einfach Kultcharakter und ist auch eine Art Kindheitserinnerung.
Gemeinsam mit den Liebsten durch die wildesten Rekorde zu blättern macht einfach Spaß. Es gibt hier so viel zu entdecken. Ich habe jetzt noch nicht mal alle genau durchlesen können weil es einfach so viele sind! Aber genau das ist irgendwo auch das Schöne daran. Man entdeckt bei jedem Mal ansehen wieder etwas neues Faszinierendes.
Ob menschliche Rekorde was das Aussehen, Beweglichkeit etc. angeht, ekelige Rekorde, tierische oder wissenschaftliche Rekorde. Von Sammlungen über verrückte, außergewöhnliche Talente, Dinge, die unmöglich erscheinen – im Guinnes World Records 2022 findet man für jeden was!
Auch für meinen 2,5 Jahre alten Sohn gibt es in diesem Buch viel zu entdecken. Diese Reihe macht einfach Jung und Alt Spaß! Immer wieder eine tolle Empfehlung meinerseits!

To nie jest książka która się czyta na raz, bo jest w niej ogrom informacji i ciekawostek. Bardzo lubię, kiedy moje dzieci zaskakują mnie pytaniami typu : "a czy wiesz ile centymetrów wzrostu ma najwyższy człowiek na świecie? " - już wiem :D Sultan Kosen ma 251cm. Albo "jaki jest rekord skoków na skakance z włosów w 30 sekund ?" 60! możecie to zobaczyć w rolkach na profilu @laetitiaky która ten rekord pobiła.
To jest naprawdę świetna książka, idealny prezent dla każdego - małego i dużego. Polecam!

Simply amazing and worth spending time with. Easy to hop in and out of and brilliantly aligned to accommodate current global restrictions and changes. Hurrah for the record keepers and record breakers!

World Records 2022 is a good book. I am learning lots of things about it. It gives me something to think about doing. I like the Where's Waldo (in the back). I like reading what people have done. And think if I can beat it.
