Looking to the future
Klein, gold dragon shifter and leader of the Rock drake Dragon shifter clan, has been protecting glorious treasures for 25 years on Rockpool Island. Klein has total faith that the Elder Dragons, who abandoned them with protection duty. But when Tracy, a human woman, is brought to the island as a rescue survivor, Klein is thrown completely off balance. He has been dedicated to the return of the Elder Dragons and maintaining everything for them, even to the detriment of the Rockdrake Dragons. Klein begins to see the negative aspects of his rules of leadership for his clan and Tracy. Tracy has realized Klein is very important to her. She's hopeful Klein will also recognize it. The transformation of Klein from indifferent and tough leader to understanding and accepting mate is touching and endearing. Well written and well plotted enjoyable story.

Originally, Tracy was terrified of the gold dragon, especially when he initially imprisoned her. Once the confusion was resolved, she remained at the palace because that was where Klein was.
Klein has followed the rules laid down by the Elders, but his confidence is shaken by how Tracy affected him. He can’t stop thinking about her and it is stopping him from completing his architectural vision of the palace.
Klein avoids Tracy as much as possible, but eventually she tracks him down determined to make him notice her.
Tracy is such a great character, she is determined to get Klein’s attention at any cost, while Klein is determined to uphold the elder’s rules at any cost, who will win?

Tracy persisted in her pursuit and it would take her patience, determination and a few bumps and bruises, to help Klein acknowledge what had always been right in front of him. Just like book one, this story will draw you in from the beginning and keep you turning the pages to see if Klein and Tracy will find happiness together and whether Klein will be able to change his overall attitude.

Great Dragon Shifter Book
I knew ever since Kline kidnapped Tracy from the beach in the first book in this series that something would happen between them. I was surprised that it took as long as it did. However the various things that kept them apart were needed to keep the story going and keep the reader's interest. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

She is attracted to him but he remains aloof and ignores her. But she has more patience than I do. This one will drag you in and keep you turning the pages. Will she win or will she have to walk away?

This is Tracy and Klein’s story. I just had to see what would happen between these two. They definitely have chemistry and I was intrigued to see where it would take them. I’m happy I read this well written story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
