Falling for my brother’s best friend is not an option—right?

Kenzie Hill needs a place to stay the summer before college, so when a spot opens up at her brother Aaron’s ‘baseball’ house, she accepts. Living with a bunch of dudes who walk around shirtless won’t distract her—she has plans and nothing will get in her way. Not even her brother’s best friend.

Tanner Johnson has one thing on his mind—his future in the MLB. After choosing to wait another year before entering the draft, he now dedicates every second to getting better on the field, or letting loose. His best friend’s sister shouldn’t even register on his radar.

The first kiss is an accident and the second leads to more. They agree it’ll just be a fling and that Aaron can never know. Kenzie’s just starting her future, while Tanner’s is already planned.

Falling for her brother’s best friend was never an option—but what happens when suddenly, it is?

Reader advisory: This book contains scenes of underage characters drinking. There are abusive and absent parents and a parent with cancer.

So, this is a harder review to write than the one I did for book 2 in the series, The Game Changer. But, while I had some of the same issues in this one that I had with the first book, Challenge Accepted, I really did like the characters and the story in this one enough that I still gave it a full 4 stars instead of the 3.5 stars I was debating. I totally got all the issues that Tanner and Kenzie had with having more than a fling. And I feel the way that they handled all of it actually was pretty realistic. Neither wanting to give the other the wrong idea in order to not scare them away. The sex scenes were very steamy, although I found some of the dialog in them to be kind of hokey and a little over the top. Especially for a girl who is just barely a freshman in college. The only thing I feel was left a little unresolved was Tanner's dad. And since we didn't really have anything major happen with Kenzie and Aaron's dad, (thank goodness, they need a little break from that), it was just a little bit of sadness with that, but more for what they'd dealt with so far. Now, the reader advisor - Yes, there was underage drinking, but again, that was realistic for a college freshman. Sorry. I'm not going to get upset about that, it fit the story. This was another that I was turning pages constantly whenever I had time to read, because I wanted to know how the story would go. I love all the characters, and hope there will be another in the series, especially since there is at least one more roommate in this house that was gone for the summer, and he needs a woman still, right?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the YA Bound Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Best Player by Jaqueline Snowe is another outstanding book in the Cleat Chasers series about a group of young men on a baseball team.
Probably not a fantastic idea to be sleeping with your brother's best friend.
Kenzie Hill
Kenzie Hill is Aaron Hill's baby sister. Aaron was the male lead in the last Cleat Chaser's book, and wow is it complicated. Well, not entirely complicated until a certain point. Kenzie is this nerdy girl that tries her best to get good grades while trying to please people around her. However, Kenzie doesn't realize that she is beautiful. That is until Tanner Johnson is in her life. I think Kenzie and I could be friends if we met in real life. We both love lists, keeping busy, and stressing out about our families in our way.
Best Player CR (1)Tanner Johnson
Tanner Johnson or TJ as his teammates call him is a responsible guy. He is trying to do well for his mom and brothers, and then there is Kenzie. Everything about Kenzie freaks him out, and Tanner doesn't know what to do with these feelings. He usually tries to avoid these. Kenzie for Tanner is an esteemed friend that he enjoys spending time with, and he tells her things that he usually wouldn't. I think that Tanner finally found someone that makes him feel complete. Tanner breaks the rules for Kenzie. It was fun to see how he changed throughout the book.
Best Player by Jaqueline Snowe is worthy of Four Stars!
Best Player by Jaqueline Snowe is getting a four-star rating, and I am recommending it to anyone that likes New Adult Romances and baseball players in college. Ms. Snowe has developed a marvelous world that I enjoy entering. I am looking forward to the next book.

Pretending to date your best friend is always a good idea…right? Wrong.

Greta Aske has a lot on her mind, and a string of bad dates has her giving up on men, at least for the time being. Her life contains a little too much drama, meaning she needs a break and to save money and get good grades. The perfect solution presents itself—pretend to date the campus playboy. That’ll keep the guys away for sure.

Aaron Hill is desperate to save his baseball career because, with his dad fighting cancer, he damn well knows he can’t ask for a single penny from his parents. Baseball is his past, present and future, so when a scandal threatens his chance in the MLB, he turns to his best friend for help. A fake relationship will keep him out of trouble. It’s perfect, really. Greta’s taking a break from dating and Aaron needs to focus on training.

Nothing could go wrong…as long as neither falls for the other. But when lines are crossed, what’s real and fake blurs and the two are forced to face their fears. Could Greta be the game changer Aaron needs?

Reader advisory: This book contains scenes of underage characters drinking and scenes of violence. There is also a family member with cancer.

Kenzie moves into the house her brother shares with his teammates a few months before college starts.
Tanner Johnson is his brother's best friend and her crush.
One night out, Tanner kisses her and they start a secret relationship, but without strings attached.
Incredible sex, together with a great relationship as friends makes them both fall more and more in love, but Tanner does not want to be distracted from baseball since the well-being of his family depends on his career, that's why he ends up screwing up more than one chance.
A funny story, super hot, and easy to read in one sitting.

I absolutely adore this series, so I was very excited when I saw the third book had been released.

Kenzie and Tanner are playing with fire. They have the most amazing physical relationship (which is going to melt your Kindle), which can be good, but can also backfire. Add in the complication of Kenzie being Tanner's friend Aaron's little sister and it really gets interesting. Aaron would absolutely kill Tanner if he knew the truth about his relationship with his little sister.

While the two of them have a smoking sexual relationship, at the same time they also teach and understand each other on a level that no one else can comprehend. And that's the magical part of their relationship. It's just no one knows about it.

That's not to say they don't have their ups and downs. This is only supposed to be a summer fling, though you know they both want more. Tanner is trying to focus on his baseball career and has a lot of family issues. Kenzie is also no stranger to the family issues and is trying to focus on the start of her college career. But you know they could make it work if they tried.

Loved this installment and really hope there is more coming soon! And yes, it does work well as a standalone, though I do recommend reading the rest of the series, just because it is so much fun.

I received an advance review copy from the author and publisher via YA Bound. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is now my second favorite book in the series after The Game Changer. Or wait. Maybe that's book #1? It's so hard to pick! This time around we get the older brother's best friend trope, and I was here for it. Tanner is Aaron's best friend, roommate, and teammate. The two were joined at the hip until Aaron fell for Greta. When Aaron's younger sister moves into their house for the summer, Tanner has no plans on crossing any boundaries. Despite the big crush she has on Tanner, Kenzie knows there's no way Tanner would ever be interested in her. The two strike up a friendship and things get crazy from there.

Tanner was up there with Zade from Challenge Accepted in my book. The guy was not my favorite when it came to his past, but Kenzie changed that for him and for me. I loved the way he cared for her. I completely understood his fears when it came to changing his life and falling for his best friend's sister. Kenzie was another Callie. She was pretty solid in her decisions and self-confidence. I loved that about her.

The only little thing that kind of bugged me was that I felt like there wasn't resolution when it came to either Tanner or Kenzie's family situations. I'm not unhappy about the Kenzie (and Aaron) one because I didn't need or want the emotional upheaval. Tanner, though, I felt like I wanted to know how his whole situation turned out. Maybe there will be an epilogue in the final book that will tell me how it all works out.

This is book three in The Cleat Chasers series and it is Kenzie and Tanner's story and it is a must read. Kenzie and Tanner have a instant attraction and intense chemistry but Kenzie is Tanner's best friends sister and with a bro code he can't go there and loose his friend Aaron so what will happen next when they eventually decide to start something in secret which is definitely playing with fire even though there connection is so and they are absolutely perfect together but what will happen when everything comes to light only time will tell what the outcome would be for them. Omg this book was absolutely brilliant and I couldn't put it down as it was so addictive and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and I absolutely loved the ending and I can't wait to read more books in this series. Jaqueline Snowe is an amazing author and writer she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I can't wait to read more of her as as they are definitely worth reading.

A cute quick read for me. This is the third book in the series I haven't read the first two but I don't feel I was missing something. Kenzie is moving in her brother's and friends/teammates house a couple months before she moves into her dorm to start college. She ends up spending more time with Tanner her brother's best friend/teammate. There is chemistry between the two but Kenzie knows Tanner is a player who only does one night stands. At a party these two kiss and decide to have a secret fling until Kezie leaves. I enjoyed their story, but I do feel there are situations left unanswered I wonder if maybe the next story might answer. I loved Kenzie she wasn't afraid to be who she was and she didn't put up with anything either. Tanner even though he was a playboy he had his reasons and his priorities. Can't wait to read the next book and am going to go read the first two.

I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.

I struggled with rating this one. Overall, I really enjoyed it. It was interesting and kept my attention. I didn’t want to put it down.

However, there are a lot of unanswered questions. Things that were key to the plot. Also, there were editing issues. Things like chocked instead of choked. Some of those issues were big because they took you out of the story to try to figure out what was meant.

Knowing the issues (as I see them), I’d still read it. It was a fun, interesting storyline that I did enjoy.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.

Breaking the bro code for your best friends little sister for just a summer fling. The chemistry is instant, but they also have a more meaningful connection that they both just relate to one another. Enjoyed this as it feels like a true college experience with this couple. As they have their ups and downs, but what will happen when everything comes out, which is inevitable. Like this style from the author as its very accurate in dealing with the college life.

A great college romance with witty banter and young adults trying to navigate their way through serious family problems, new relationships that are off-limits because they threaten other friendships - all while keeping their college dreams on track. Kenzie and Tanner are beautiful together and I was cheering for them from the start.

I really enjoyed Best Player by Jaqueline Snowe. Its book 3 in the Cleat Chasers series but I was easily able to read it on its own. However, I will be reading the first two. Kenzie and Tanner were simply amazing together and they had awesome chemistry. Tanner knows the bro-code. Hands off your friend's little sister but when Kenzie becomes their new roommate staying away becomes impossible. If you enjoy best friend/little sister romance you will enjoy their story.

Gorgeous.

Another wonderful story in the Cleat Chasers series. I just loved Aaron’s sister Kenzie, and the friendship and then more she makes with his friend Tanner, is sweet and sexy and so hot. I really enjoy this author’s writing style - great dialogue, fun characters, thoughtful tensions and amazing steamy scenes. Gorgeous.

This is the third story in the "Cleat Chasers" series about a baseball team and the ladies they fall hard for. It is a stand alone read about Kenzie and Tanner. It is a wonderful sports romance with witty dialogue and banter. I love the characters in this fun story about a team mate and best friend's little sister! Kenzie and Tanner start something that they might just regret especially if her brother finds out. I so enjoyed every bit of this read.

Kenzie and Tanner is a friend's sister story that will have you glued to you seat. Kenzie needs a place to stay and her brother offers a spare room. Tanner and Kenzie have an electric and intense connection, but will the bro code stand in the way.

Best Player is a great addition to the series. It will pull you in from the from the first page and keep you line after line.

To save some money, Kenzie moves in with her brother and a bunch of his baseball jock friends for the summer before classes start. Tanner, her brother's best friend and one of the roomates, is a player and focused on his career path to MLB. The book was way too predictable from start to finish. But if that works for you, it's an OK read.

Great
What a wonderful story. TJ hooks up with Aarons little sister on the sly and their agreement for a fling doesn't quite work out. The chemisty between TJ and Kensie is instant and they take you along with their relationship. This was a fun book to read.

Brilliant read.
Kenzie has gone to college early to get some classes in. but this means moving in with her brother for a couple of weeks before the dorms are open. But Kenzie is up for the challenge of living with her brother and 3 of the hottest guys in the college. Kenzie has much to overcome and she manages to Bowl Tanner over without even trying.
Brilliant read.

I really like Tanner and I love Kenzie. The chemistry, the friendship, the flash fire of their emotions really get to me. I love Greta, she is such a sweet character and so good for Kenzie and an absolute dream to Aaron. Zade is also one big softie. This is a really sweet book full of heated scenes and a lot of depth and well written feelings that it makes you smile all day.
