Kay Lee Arthur was an American Christian author, Bible teacher, and co-founder of Precept Ministries International. Renowned for her accessible and inductive approach to Bible study, she helped millions engage deeply with Scripture. Arthur began her ministry informally, teaching teenagers in her living room alongside her second husband, Jack Arthur. Their work soon grew into a global outreach, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, under the name Precept Ministries International. She hosted the daily Bible teaching program Precepts for Life and became a respected voice in evangelical circles. Arthur authored numerous books and was a four-time winner of the ECPA Christian Book Award for titles such as A Marriage Without Regrets and The New Inductive Study Bible. Her ministry was rooted in a personal reawakening to faith in the early 1960s, following a divorce and a return to religious life. She and Jack also served briefly as missionaries in Mexico before founding their ministry. Arthur remained active in public faith-based initiatives into her later years and was known for her firm stances on social issues. She passed away on 2025 leaving behind a lasting legacy in Christian education and publishing.

This is another great study from Kay Arthur. This study focuses on Satan - his tactics and plan.
I did not realise there are so many references to him in Scripture. I found it useful to learn more about him and recognise his tactics in this evil, broken world.

Be aware - while doing you will get tested on what you learn. Spoiler alert - Satan is defeated! Amen! Satan does not want the world to know there is a rescue and a way out of his grip - through the eternal, atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ upon Calvary's cross.

I enjoy that Kay Arthur studies actually delve into the scripture, the original text used, historical context etc, not just read and interpret like so many studies today. So thankful for Mrs Arthur and her ministry!

(I finished this a while ago, but forgot to update status on Goodreads)

After completing an in-depth study on the subject of prayer, a study on spiritual warfare seemed like a logical next step... what is warfare? how to identify it in your life? how to combat it? This was an intense, demanding, educational, and challenging 9 week study that primarily focuses on the book of Ephesians as well as the Armor of God. But, if you know anything about Kay Arthur, than you know she will take you ALL OVER scripture= always answering scripture with more scripture so you have a holistic look at a topic and don't take things out of context - so very important. I absolutely adore Kay and love learning at her feet. It is a wonderfully rewarding experience.

I have always wanted to understand Ephesians 6 on an intimate level. I struggled with how to take the practical advice that Paul provided to the Ephesians. Ms Arthur has taken that desired and moved it up a notch or two.

Her insight on spiritual warfare in people's daily lives made me realize just how important it is as a Christian to recognize the warfare and how to defend myself against Satan's attacks.

Her book is grounded by references to God's Word throughout the Old and New Testament, which is extremely important to me. It isn't "Kay's" words or beliefs, it is God's Word.

An excellent one on one with God study of God's Word and how it impacts you. There is so much evil in this world going back to Genesis and the serpent. Spending a few hours in this book along with the Bible is a great preparer for each of us on how to stand with Christ against the warfare we experience as followers of Christ Jesus.

I truly appreciate how Kay Arthur presents this topic. The book is easily broken down so you can read day by day. But more importantly she has you dig into scripture to learn what God has to say about spiritual warfare. I highly encourage al Christians to read this book.

Useful information with biblical importance. Presentation was slow and overly burdened with examples.

Excellent, Biblical look at Spiritual Warfare. Most of the study can be done under 25 minutes a day. Highly recommend as a personal or small group study.

This is a book I want to come back to again and again, not merely for the content, but because of how deep it sends you into the Scriptures.

This is a great group study for those wanting to know more about spiritual warfare.

I did this with a group of women from our church. I have to say this isn't just for women at all! One of the ladies husband was so interested that he decided to do the study along with her. He has said it was really good and has been recommending it to everyone.

You can read this on your own but a group situation allows you to dive in deeper. The small group questions at the end of each chapter are not just a rehashing of work you did during the week. They actually get you to think more about what you have been studying. There is no "answer book" so you really have to think and look at the Word. I also did email a couple of our church elders over the course of the study also.

I also really enjoyed the fact that this study has you very much in the Word. There are personal stories and anecdotes from Kay Arthur's ministry; but you are also looking up several passages of scripture throughout the week. At the end of the study you will have a greater insight into Ephesians and other scripture that connects with Ephesians.

We are for sure going to be doing another "Lord,..." series study in the future!

It is not the walk here in the grass where the battles are, but right above with battles going on for our soul. Anything that takes our sight off Jesus is not of God. How I needed this dear book with other praying for me and caring for my wounds of the flesh. A beautiful lady I worked for latched onto me as if God put her hand in mine and didn't let go until the healing, forgiving others, and letting go was completed. Her name Judy Carter and she had already experience the true healing power that comes only from Jesus WORD. He was a lifeguard that would not let me go, would no stop praying for me (even when I asked her too). She interduced me to Kay Arthur, her knowledge, wisdom, and leadership drove me to me a Woman of Honor today, reshaped, and allowing God to use me in the battle to save other drowning souls to reach out and walk on the water holding Jesus hand to a safe place of healing.

I have read maybe 7 books on spiritual warfare and of all of them, I love this one the most.
But then again, you should know that Kay Arthur is like one of my 3 all time heroes of today. Her, Nancy Leigh DeMoss, and Elizabeth George. I'm not for putting people on pedestals, but I want to be them when I grow up! Or Beth Moore.

This particular book, I read while I was a missionary in Turkey counseling bettered Mulsim women for the summer. It is a walk through Ephesians in scripture, which was unbelievable for me as I was literally walking through the 7 churches of Revelation on a tour there before we came home. So as you can see I am biased.

But it is a great book. And Kay, is 81 now and still living on purpose, preaching the Word, just LOVE her

Fantastic Study! Love the inductive bible study method and Kay Arthur's way of writing. I thought I knew all I needed to know about fighting the Enemy but apparently I was wrong. This study focuses on the book of Ephesians and from this study I was able to really dig into it. Mynextstudy from Precept will be the Book of Psalms.

Love Kay Arthur studies and the depth of scripture involved. This study was timed perfectly, as I had not given spiritual warfare the credit due... I completed this study while my family was under heavy attack. I believe spiritual warfare is very real an Biblical!
