Landing Eagle : Inside the Cockpit During the First Moon Landing

Rate this book
On July 20, 1969, two American astronauts flew a small bug-like spacecraft down to the surface of the Moon. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin skillfully maneuvered their Lunar Module - named "Eagle" - to a gentle landing on the Sea of Tranquility. Yet the 12 minute descent from Lunar orbit down to the surface was fraught with a series of technical problems that could've resulted in disaster, if not for the incredible piloting skills of Armstrong and Aldrin. This book takes you inside the cockpit for a behind-the-scenes look at this historic event.
