As a poet, I sometimes find it difficult to choose which ones to include in a collection. I want at least one to resonate with someone, but never want it to be completely sombre. In Once Upon a Time, you will find hope, strength and courage, as well as my usual sprinkles of humour. It is a collection of poetry written by a woman who has had many life struggles and knows there are many other women who have had them too. Because life is not a fairytale even when it does start with "once upon a time".
