This is a great set of stories. "Panic" is a great thriller book set in Spain. There is mystery and suspense the entire time. The ending is great but there is a part that leaves you hanging.
"Payback" is another adventure with Beth Papadakis. Beth returns to Spain to help Nick, who called saying he had been shot. Unfortunately, Nick and Miguel were still trapped in the shady dealings that they could not escape from and Beth gets trapped in the action again! There are more kidnappings and deadly happenings as Beth and her friends try to rescue other people. I loved it. I loved the way the author described everything – the hotel in Spain, the water, the countryside… Great writing and you can picture the setting and the action in your head as you read.

Panic-Beth sure manages to get into all kinds of situations, most of the bad kind. It's kinda scary to think of what will happen to her next. Her friend Helen certainly doesn't help her stay outta trouble. Introduce Helen to a man and she's off on her own adventures in the blink of an eye. Definitely not the kind of friend Beth needs around. Some of the characters need some lessons in etiquette, politeness and how to treat a lady, but there's one in every crowd it seems. Payback-In this adventure circumstances can stress the best of friendships and Beth & Helen's is no different. Many subplots and you never expect the twists and turns coming. Keep an open mind as their adventure or you may miss the important elements.
