Nothing goes better with milkshakes than burgers… or is that murder?
Traveling bakers, Ruby and Bee, are excited when they stop in the Main Street of small town, Sleepy Creek, Ohio. A laugh out loud fun cozy murder mystery with two wonderful characters and a cross-over from The Burger Bar series. Ruby and Bee arrive at Sleepy Creek, Ohio with their food truck and are immediately approached by Delores, a baker telling them to leave town. The people in this town are not very friendly which includes a Gossip Circle who thrive on gossiping and getting people in trouble. When one of the Gossip Group, Norma, is found dead next to Ruby and Bee's food truck, they become suspects number one and their truck is impounded by the police. PI Christie and Bee are so similar that they are like oil and water, but because this is Christie's town, with lots of laughs and banter between Bee and Christie, they end up working together to clear their names and get their food truck back and get out of town! With lots of potential suspects and twists and turns, we are taken through many red-herrings. Who wanted Norma dead and why? Will the girls be able to figure it out? I love cross-overs in books it makes everything seem to mesh beautifully, especially in this book! This series is great and lots of fun with Ruby and the irascible Bee on the road with their truck. You get attached to the characters and you can't put the books down until you get to the end! I received an ARC from this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Ruby and Bee arrive in Sleepy Creek, Ohio and there is nothing sleepy about it. On their first day, they are confronted by the town baker who says they aren’t welcome there and then a murder occurs outside the food truck. This is a crossover with “The Burger Bar Series” where Ruby and Bee are introduced to the town P.I. Christie Watson, Grizzly, the restaurant owner; and the twins. Their food truck has been confiscated by the police. Unfortunately, the town people aren’t very friendly and they end up teaming with Christie to investigate. The victim was part of the Gossip Circle who like to gossip about the town people. Why was Norma murdered and who did it? Could her involvement with the Gossip Circle be the reason she was murdered? Join Bee, Ruby and Christie as they put on their sleuthing hat to figure this one out. This was an enjoyable read. The plot and characters were well-written, making you feel like you are friends. This was a perfect cozy mystery with just the perfect amount of humor, mystery, intrigue, quirky characters, and adventure that will keep any reader completely engaged.

Ruby and Bee drive to Sleepy Creek and find themselves immediately in trouble with baker Delores. But when Norma, a member of the Gossip Circle who thrives on causing trouble, is found dead next to the food truck, Ruby and Bee are the ones caught up in the gossip group’s gossipy attack. Will they be able to prove they had nothing to do with Norma’s death?
After an initial run-in with Christie Watson, they all put their heads together to figure out who is responsible and even who the next victim will be! Will they get to the victim in time before another murder occurs?
This was a clever way to bring together some well-known characters. Sleepy Creek will be familiar if you've read any of The Burger Bar Mysteries. I am curious whether Ruby and Bee will hang around Sleepy Creek to stir up more trouble. It’s so nice to see them back in action!
The girls headed to a new town in Ohio called Sleepy Creek which will sound very familiar if you've read any of the author's first series, The Burger Bar Mysteries. Bee and Ruby weren't feeling the usual sleuthing inspiration this time, and it's wild how that came out to me as the reader too! Things were just not the same. Maybe the irate woman yelling at them in the beginning or the townspeople giving them the evil eye had a lot to do with it.
I wondered if they'd team up with Christie eventually 'cause they sure didn't hit it off well at first. I loved the banter between her and Bee that was anything but lighthearted. But they weren't awful to each other either because they were too much alike. Now I'm interested to see just how long the girls will hang around Sleepy Creek and what else they get into.
I really look forward to Point's Bite Sized Bakery cozy as she expertly delivers an action packed mystery that she knows how to tie up with a bow on top in a concise edition. No leaving you hanging and no abrupt ending. I may have only read one of her Burger Bar mysteries but supposedly she melds the two together and let me say, it works and having me intrigued to cross over to the other side.
Although not a fan of their new town where it should've been named Gossip, it does have a twilight zone type of feel that makes it Halloween appropriate.

Ruby and Bee's adventure continues into the small town of Sleepy Creek. The name sounds so nice but the town folks are rather odd. The Burger Bar is in this quaint town and serves the best hamburgers known to mankind. But then there is The Gossip Circle. A group of women who causes trouble for the rest of the people in town by gossiping about them. But when one of them winds up dead outside the food truck, this causes Ruby and Bee to be the main source of gossip. Can they prove they didn't do it? They run into another character that is just like Bee...heaven help us all! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Another intriguing mystery by Rosie which was humorous and riveting and full of action. Bee and Ruby are in Sleepy Creek and are plunged into another murder investigation. They also meet Christie Watson who is famed for her sleuthing skills. Can throwing a milkshake at a customer who later turns up dead, make you a prime suspect? Bee does not think so but has to clear her name. Will Christie hamper or help Ruby and Bee? I absolutely loved reading this mystery.
This book should have been titled the battle of the nosy Parkers! I can't believe she brought the sleuths from two different series together and they don't get along one bit! Boy this had me laughing! It is very fast paced! Characters kookier than usual. And it kept me guessing and laughing right to the end! This is one of her best and a must read! I hope she had as much fun writing it as I did reading it!
The Burger Bar team and Bite Sized Bakery gals trapped together in a small and crazy town, where people seem ready for a fight at the drop of a cupcake
no use crying over spilled milkshakes, but craziness surrounding Mona Jonah is not a new thing.
Crazy gets lethal, cupcakes fly, and Ruby and Bee finally decide this is one town too crazy to stick around
Ruby and Bee have pulled into Sleepy Creek, Ohio and right away are accosted by a local baker being told to leave town and then there is the town gossips who live to spread rumors and when one of them dies it's on because Ruby and Bee have to solve this one because Norma was found by their food truck and that just won't fly with our girls. I received this book as an arc for an unbiased and honest review and I recommend it to everyone I meet.
The author has given us a wonderful cozy mystery that pulls us into the story on the first page. What happens when the women of the Bite-sized Bakery Truck are in the same town as the women of the Burger Bar? Things will never be the same for any of them!

When Ruby and Bee find a murder victim by their food truck, they are anxious to find the killer. There are plenty of suspects in this clever mystery. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one. I received a complimentary copy of this book and chose to write a voluntary, unbiased review.
What I appreciate the most is when an author has a character grow by understanding and self-awareness. This is my favorite part of this book. The storyline was good, I like the two main characters, and I liked how the truth of the situation revealed itself. I was asked to give an honest opinion from an arc read.
I love when authors write “crossover” books; especially when the two series are both on my “favorites” list. It was fun to see Bee and Christie meet and not like each other, because their personalities are so much alike. Lots of quirky characters in this book. Lots of motives, but not a lot of suspects. Love the twist at the end.
Rosie has done it again with another fantastic, entertaining and enjoyable cozy mystery. It's well written has mystery, suspense and intrigue that pull you in and keep you turning the pages. The characters, main and supporting, are enjoyable to get to know, well developed and entertaining as well.

Another great book by Point! I adore this whole series — anything by Point really. Always well-written, well-paced, likeable and complex characters, plus a great mystery. Every time I think it can’t get better, Point proves us wrong. Can’t wait for the next book!

The Bite Size Bakery truck has moved to a new town. Not there 24 hours and they find a dead body outside their truck. Of course they are under suspicion. They waste no time to start investigating. This is a fun fast read that fits well with the rest of the series. Enjoy.
Ruby and Bee roll into the town of Sleep Creek and from the first moment are entertained by the citizenry. They are an outrageous bunch. Very entertaining. It makes the reader want to continue on reading. I received this as an arc from Booksprout and freely left this review.
Ruby and Bee are at it again. This time the atmosphere and welcome are differently unique but just as enthralling as their previous adventures. I enjoy the author's banter of the characters and feeling as if I'm right there with them.
Fantastic! Loved the cross over with the Burger Mysteries. Bee & Ruby reluctantly team up with Christie to solve the latest murder. Will they stay in town or was their initial experience in Sleepy Creek too much? I can't wait to read the next book to find out.
I like these simple murder mysteries. And they are just short enough to read to fall asleep at night. And for me with memory problems to actually remember.
This series is a homerun! Every book in this series and anything I have read that was written by this amazing author has been 100% fun and I couldn’t put it down! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun read ! God Bless and God Loves you!
