Two honorable warriors with nothing left to lose...until they find her.
Prillon warrior Thomar Arcas is the royal heir to his ancestor’s legacy of dishonor, betrayal and death. When he was captured by the Hive, some on his home world cheered. Some sighed with relief. None shed a tear.
Thomar and his second, Varin, break free and destroy an enemy base, barely escaping with their lives. They transport to The Colony, the last refuge for contaminated males. Upon arrival they suffer in agony, their cyborg implants fighting for control of the powerful warriors.
Defeat is not in their blood. Not in their history. Not in their souls. Unable to sever their ties to the Hive integrations, they suffer relentless pain. Unwilling to force others to suffer, Thomar has chosen an honorable death over further disgrace; until they are matched to a human female from Earth who will do anything, and sacrifice anyone, to save them.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 💙❤️💚💜 Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙 World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎 Character development: 🙃😊😉🥰 Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine:Danika - she was a criminal and decided to sign up for the Interstellar Brides program in lieu of remaining in jail. She came from a small town and was immediately matched to a Prillon male warrior as her primary, that male will choose a second and she will be mated to both warriors. Danika had been in jail for over 7 years and was more than ready for two mates.
The Heroes:Thomar and Varin - Thomar suffered greatly while he and Varin were captured by the Hive. The Hive used their mating collars against them to see how much torture they could handle, and they both had extensive integrations with hive technology. When they reached the Colony, Thomar was out of control and only Dr. Surnen could help bring him back. Thomar and Varin had only just gotten away from the Hive when they were matched with Danika.
The Story: Thomar didn’t think he was capable of controlling himself and feared for his mate. He did not want to have a legacy of having hurt a human female. Thomar wanted to unlink himself from Varin so Varin could take their mate and get a new second. That would kill Thomar, so Danika rebelled against that and put on her collar so she could feel their pain. She decided that her and Varin would change Thomar’s mind.
This story was super steamy and I really liked the characters. There was more information on the kinds of things the Hive was doing to some of their captives. The world building was terrific, and I really like the world of the Colony. Though I kind of wish there was a bit more emphasis on the things the Hive tech did for the cyborgs (it is tech and it sometimes makes the male stronger, but I wish it was all explained a bit better).
This audiobook was told in dual points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Tor Thom and Avery Reid. Tor Thom is one of my favorite male narrators. He has a deep, almost otherworldly sounding voice which is perfect for alien romance. Avery Reid has a very pleasant, soft and feminine voice which sounds age appropriate for Danika.
A sci-fi "cyborg/Alien" MFM romance with steam, good storyline, seemingly fun series-arc & unexpectedly (yet awesome)...gut punched me with feels! With this being my 1st book by Grace, I went into this series blind...It was shorter than I thought it'll be, but as I got the hang of it...I enjoyed this A LOT! Loved the characters, DEVOURED this in around 4hrs. So much is still left to uncover in this series, exciting!
Danika had a hard life on earth, is jaded & tough. For Interstellar Brides program, matched with Prillion mates, sent to "The Colony". Atleast it'll give her little brother the life he deserves. At core, she's protective, emotional, graceful, smart & so relatable!
"I’d been through the foster system. The court system. The prison system. And now this."
The mates she'd so perfectly matched with? Thomar & Varin are best-friends with an unusual "connection", war-hardened & just escaped Hive, caring & with their own horrors. As Danika describes:
"Varin with his loyal, loving heart. He was solid as a rock, strong, Thomar’s anchor and now, my new family’s foundation. And Thomar, who fought for control over his aggressive nature, his warrior’s instincts, turned up to the maximum and beyond by Hive integrations and two years of torture."
When these 3 meet, feelings are guarded. Lives on line. But being their perfect match, she's Irresistible, especially as for the 1st time in a long time D felt (So do V+T!) hope, For Love, Belonging. So she ain't giving up! The acceptance & mutual understanding is so heartwarming!
Even as love begins to blossom, relationship develops, steamy times happen & friends form, a lot is working against our 3. Thomar's heritage, The 3's past tortures, & The Hive not only killing'em from inside (Oh no 😭) but abusing innocents too, which of course we'll go rescue!
"Scars. That’s what they were. Proof that my mates were survivors. Tough. Resilient. Fighters. Like me."
This mix makes it an action & emotionally packed story as our 3 find strength in love, peace from their pasts, While saving many & finally getting their well-deserved HEA at end!! 😍. Ah that scene *Yay!*. "I was everything to my mates. They cherished me." P.s. But no epilogues here 😅😂. P.p.s I kinda wanted MM here, but i enjoyed the sexy times & 3somes so, can't complain!
If you ever wondered what Star Trek would be like if it were on HBO at night with lots of sex, Claimed by the Cyborgs is for you!! I loved the fated mates thing, but also the interesting world Goodwin has created in this intergalactic story.
Danika has such a sad story, and then so does Thomar, her primary mate. They both have a ton of baggage. Varin, the secondary male is much less drama llama, which is a good balance to this throuple.
Overall, the initial story is all about the relationship and will Thomar accept the bond. But, then you have a turn towards the dangerous with the villainous aliens killing humans. Claimed by the Cyborgs will appeal to readers who like very spicy read with a very unique setting! See full review on The Book Disciple
I probably should’ve read from the beginning of the series…anyway DNF @ 80%. No chemistry, no connection, info dump and storyline all over the place. Overall it’s just…meh.
Claimed by the Cyborgs is the 9th book in Grace Goodwin's Interstellar Brides Program series and can be read as a standalone. It is told in first person with multiple POVs.
I've read more than a couple of the Interstellar Brides books and have enjoyed most of them. They're light... they're fluffy... and smexy :). This one, though, I actually enjoyed more than most. I think it was the tortured hero and tortured heroine theme trope. The characters were great and we got a lot of background information on them that made them more relatable. You really did feel for them and wanted them to get the happily ever after they all deserved.
Absolute fluff & I’m fine with it. This book managed to move the overall arc forward as well. This is low on the list of Interstellar Brides favorites. 2 meh stars
Loved this book. Absolutely loved it! This might even be my fave in the whole series, the whole universe grace Goodwin had created so far! Especially these characters- I’m familiar with the rules and the different types of cyborgs and species in Greece Goodwin series, as I have read many many of them before!
I love Danika, she’s so… I’m just vibin’ with her
Damn. Maybe I should have been matched to Viken. No. Shut up, Danika. Sheesh. I did not need three mates. 😂😂
She’s strong, tough and resilient just like her mates, Thomar and Varin. Andddd she’s a naughty little vixen heheh! Love her sass and her strong headedness!
I really love, the strong, and fierceness, the distrust but yet craving to be loved cherished and protected feelings of the main character Danica - she’s true to her feelings and honest! And then two guys one is kinda insane and strong, and the other is even stronger, but kinda insane due to whatever they went through at the hands of the enemy, and I love that they will all fight for each other. This is an MFM romance and i feel like this was a great coupling and healthy, they really listened to each others feelings and grew, with lots of sexy time and banter. The unique bond between Thomar and Varin adds a special layer to this!
I really liked how each character had a distinct personality. You could very well noticed a change in characters and that is great because this book has multiple POVS, which I absolutely love, especially when executed well like this.
I love the writing. Easy, fast, good to follow, enough switches between telling and “showing” allowing me to create a vision of what’s happening and what’s going on. She succeeded in shaping the scenery well! And never shied away from swearing which I love - I like a good n old human “F*CK” 😂🤌🏼🫶🏼
It’s also so cool to see how grace Goodwin managed to bring out even a new twist and aspect with the known mating bands!! I’d never thought of this and it’s epic how she still manages to surprise me/the reader with something knew and something familiar!
And the SEXY SCENES 😏😏 ARE SO HOT! these 3 are bonded in a special way and I loved seeing them grow closer together! And just as I was thinking it was getting a bit dull and too much sex Goodwin throws an exciting plot revelation at you!!
And finally Wow this book is such a turning point for the whole series! Suddenly things are coming together and starting to make sense, and we FINALLY get a look into the enemies head!! What’s really going on?? What’s going to happen?? Even more danger?? This was such an amazing part of the series and I loved every page of it! Definitely recommend this book if you love a hot sci-fi romance with sexy cyborgs and a fierce human female who finally gets her love - set in space! With lots of sexy time 👀AND an exciting plot!

I love multiple POVS but Oh no! The plot changes quickly abruptly/rapidly with the change of pov that is sometimes a bit confusing.
Ohhh! We have A LOT of couples making a quick comeback or introduction #humancouplegoals #withthegirls LOVE IT!
OH MY GOD HUGE PLOT TWIST HOW DID GOODWIN BUILD LAYERS THROUGH OUT HER series 🤯 WOWOWOWOW

Two damaged heroes and one damaged heroine…Can three shattered souls form a new whole? ***** Rating: 5 stars Steam: 2.5 flames Genre: Alien / Broken Hero / Broken Heroine ***** I am not going to lie; this book broke my little Grinch heart. Thomar and Varin have escaped the hive, but they haven’t escaped their torment or torture. Although they are no longer prisoners of the hive, they are prisoners all the same…
Danika is a prisoner too… and now she is looking for something she has never had. Freedom, love, protection… SAFETY and so she decides to do something about her circumstances, and she joins the Interstellar Brides program.
This book… good heavens, Thomar and Varin INSTANTLY won my heart. They are both honorable protectors that have been dealt a terrible hand in life. Danika is tough, and she exudes an undeniable strength. I am so darn happy to be back in with the Interstellar Brides! I have missed these warriors! But the warriors from the colony will always have a special place in my heart.
Claimed by the Cyborgs is a well-written page-turner with characters you can't help but fall in love with and a universe you can't help but fantasize about. I am a big believer that more is better... which is why two Prillion fighters are always better than one!
A MUST-READ ROMANCE and all the recommendations from me!
Interstellar Brides program; is this Danika's answer to her less than stellar life?
In Goodwin style, we have wonderful world building, fantastic characters who will endear themselves to you, and a story you'll be hard-pressed to put down!
Being claimed by Thomar and Varin does not seem to be a hardship! And reading their story was my pure pleasure!
S**t eating grin after reading this Goodwin novel! :)
I really enjoyed Danika, Thomar and Varin’s story. This one had plenty of character development and emotional upheaval to go along with the alien sexy times. I read it one sitting and will definitely be looking for more from this author.
I really enjoyed most of this series so far. This was probably one of the worst books. The characters felt inconsistent, the story line felt rushed and the timeline does not match up at all, sometimes not even within the same page. Issues like this take me out of the story and are a sign of sloppy editing. I am also not sure about this story in the context of the overall series. It is trying to change things up and add more dimension. However, it does not feel like a natural continuation of the story and instead more like a stretch as it somehow happens after 80% of the story unexpectetly and honestly left me quite confused. I expected more.
I think that this trio may be my most favorite groupings that Grace Goodwin has written. I still love Atlans best, in general, but there's just something about Thomar, Varin, and Danika.
They are all just so terribly hurt and broken that it's hard for them to just be when they are alone, or even when it's just T & V together. The 3 of them definitely need to be together in order for them to be stable and happy. It's not that they heal each other's broken spaces, it's that they somehow manage to shore up those places in each other, strengthen each other, and just function better.
I think that Thomar and Varin really need to have someone to protect them, because it seems like no one else has before, and Danika is perfect for that, because she is such a protector. I don't think that she knows how to do anything else.
If you are reading this series, along with all the spinoffs, in chronological order, I recommend reading this BETWEEN books 3 & 4 of the Beast series. I hope Grace has plans to continue to add to this series. 🤞
The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides in the United States. The Colony Series takes place alongside the interstellar bride series, but focuses solely on the residents of the Colony. The colony houses veterans of war, tainted with Hive technology. They cannot return to their home worlds because of their cyborg hive tech, so they live the remainder of their lives on the colony. Brides can be matched to a soldier living on the colony as they can also test for the matchmaking system like everyone else. As the books progress, more brides specifically request the Colony instead of another coalition planet.
Written in first person, Claimed by the Cyborgs is book 9 in this series and follows the human bride Danika Gray and her alien cyborg mates Prince Thomar Arcas and his second Captain Varin Mordin from the planet Prillion Prime. Danika was a prisoner who killed her abusive stepfather and tried as an adult for premeditated murder at 17. She waited to volunteer for the interstellar bride program until after she knew her little brother was safe and taken care of. Prince Arcas was part of a family that was dishonored by an ancient relative who killed his mate. Because of that, anyone with royal Arcas blood was shunned and treated poorly by the Prillion people, yet he and his second still maintained honor through the hive war. Varin’s own family disowned him after he chose to become Arcas’ second. They both were captured by the hive and tortured for years before they could escape. Part of their torture involved their mating collars, which were attached to them unnaturally and connected the two as one being. Thomar was in constant pain and ready to die in order to save Varin from his pain and agony, but Danika was having none of that. She refused to give up on either mate, nor would she allow either mate to give her up. She succeeded, they claimed her, saved a bunch of women and children from Nexus 5, and restored honor to the Arcas name by Prime Nial. But not before her collar took on the same hive behavior and melded with her body, making her one with the Nexus and hive.
This was one of my least favorite books. Too much contradiction and denial for my liking. “I can’t claim her, she is mine. I must let her go, I love her. I never should have claimed her, I can’t live without her because she is my everything. Yes, no, maybe?” And that was just Thomar. Like, make up your damn mind and stick with it. Jesus. Thankfully, Varin was a little less contradictory. The moment he had her against the wall, he decided that he was keeping Danika regardless of what Thomar did. I was thankful that at least someone knew what they wanted and took it. The ending was probably my biggest pet peeve. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that Nial restored honor to the Arcas name, even publicly. But Danika accepting a job offer by the Queen on the condition that she be allowed to be claimed publicly in the arena with the universe as a witness? Um, okay. It was hot when Jessica did it, but I just got desperate vibes from this one. Danika was standing around butt-ass naked while everyone decided to have a conversation about whether they would live or not. Not to mention, the three already had their claiming ceremony in a conference room before their mission. So a second one was overkill. Meh, I’m glad they got their happy ending. If anyone deserved it, it was those three. 🫶🏻
Prillions are humanoid. They’re larger and stronger than humans but smaller and weaker than Atlans. Their mating collars allow for the wearers to experience each other’s emotions. They are also an alien species that mate in pairs, assigning a second so in the event one dies, their mate and offspring will never be alone and uncared for. Should an alien mate die, the surviving mate would select a new second to fill their shoes.
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. Don’t get me wrong, I love me a well written buildup to sex, but most are anticlimactic. This is NOT one of those books. While Grace Goodwin has added more adventures as the series progressed, it is still, quite literally, word porn.
As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. Aside from the individual love stories, the hive is an enemy I love reading about. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. This book was no exception. Highly recommend.

A bit conflicted with this story. I liked Danika, Thomar and Varin and together they were explosive heat wise. This story had a lot more action and more emotional tugging than some of the other stories.
Where things make this sloppy for me is more with consistency in regards to the other storylines, some of the timelines seemed to have gotten jumbled or mixed up. Varin made a move as a second that is not consistent with what was told about when three mates are involved. The primary is always the one that gets a certain part of the woman before the second. There is a big deal made about the integrations that have bound Thomar and Varin that is killing them and now Danika is going to suffer the same fate since she too has a mating collar. We are suddenly told there is something worse out there than the hive? The almost oh by the way we can save you ending to the story.
I’m glad these three got their HEA but things felt very rushed at the end and just left me feeling a bit let down with the buildup of all the drama for it to be wrapped or unwrapped with the drop of a dress.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
While this book is part of a series, it reads well as a stand-alone and, therefore, a story with unique characters and traditions. The Interstellar Brides program is designed to match up mates from Earth to Alien planets. Each book revolves around different alien and human matches and customs. The one thing that starts each story and continues the journey is that a human female is tested in a laboratory at the Interstellar Brides Processing Center on Earth. The male aliens were tested with the hopes of someday being matched with a mate. In the testing process, the bride will dream of her matched mate or mates.
“You are his matched mate, the perfect female for him. Interstellar Brides are a great honor and gift to the warriors and fighters who served in the war with the Hive. He would never willingly give you up.”
The story will have Danika Gray, a prisoner on Earth, at the Interstellar Bride Processing Center, Miami, Florida, undergoing the testing and matched 99% to Prillon Prince Thomar Arcas and his second Captain Varin Mordin. The two Prillons have been prisoners of the Hive and are integrated with Hive technology that includes fusing their mating collars to their spine. The Hive had tortured them collectively because of the link, and it is all Varin can do to protect Thomar. What a shock when they hear that they have a bride due any moment now.
The story’s plot will have Thomar and Varin suffering painfully when Hive technology slowly kills them both. Danika isn’t a wilting flower, she is tough, prison tough, a murderess who has survived in the prison system for seven years—this is her hope for a future. What happens if Varin and Thomar reject her because she can’t return to Earth? How can they accept a bride when they are so damaged?
Danika: I’m not asking for permission. I’m not going to choose another mate. I’m keeping Thomar. I’m keeping you, too. You are my second. Do you understand? Varina: I should not allow you to do this. Danika: But you will. Because you want to save him, too. Varina: He is the most honorable warrior I know. He deserves a mate. He has suffered more than most could endure. Danika: Then let’s save him together.
The story will have Thomar learning that the integration of Hive technology is beyond saving him. He is ready to do one last mission—a suicide mission—before Danika becomes involved. The triad is even stronger now, and together they will work to fight to save others.
“His body is rejecting the integrations, and the surrounding tissues are dying, causing decay and sepsis, infection that has spread into his bloodstream.”
The story has plenty of good and evil as Hellion enters the picture, another mission that Danika envisioned. The rescue of women and children became a catalyst of entering into the lion's den—dealing with a Nexus unit. This time, it won’t just be Thomar and Varin fighting the Hive; other key players will assist in a rescue. What will happen to the triad when the battle is over—the clock is still ticking down?
“Fresh out of prison. On our way to another one, this time, in freaking outer space. What can I say? I like to keep it real.”
“We believe the Nexus units serve as a central link to thousands of minds in the Hive collective. When a Nexus unit is eliminated, every individual linked to that Nexus mind drops dead instantly. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of their Soldiers eliminated.”
Once again, Ms. Grace Goodwin penned a story that was a page-turner, and as I said, while each story in this series is based on brides married to aliens, each is unique and worthy in its own right. The story is full of life and death, angst, desire, passion, and respect that includes sex scenes of ménage.
: 3.75 stars—CLAIMED BY THE CYBORGS is the ninth instalment in Grace Goodwin’s adult INTERSTELLAR BRIDES: THE COLONY erotic, sci-fi, romance series. This is former Prince and Prillon warrior Thomar Arcas, his second Captain Varin Mordin, and twenty-three year old, human female Danika Gray’s story line. CLAIMED BY THE CYBORGS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous storyline is revealed where necessary.
Told from three first person perspectives (Thomar, Varin and Danika) CLAIMED BY THE CYBORGS follows human female Danika Gray as she is matched to Prillon warrior as part of the interstellar brides program. Not only will Danika be mated to Thomar but also to Thomar’s second Varin Mordin but all is not well with Danika’s intended mates, as Thomar’s mind remains connected to the hive, and the connection is slowly destroying his mind. Being matched with two powerful warriors, Danika finds herself ‘feeling’ their pain but quickly discovers that she can hear the cries and pain of women left behind. What ensues is the highly erotic romance and relationship between Thomar, Varin and Danika, and the potential fall-out as the Hive implants are slowly killing our story line trio.
Thomar Arcas believes he is too volatile for a mate but his immediate reaction to Danika proves too strong to ignore. Making Varin promise to protect the woman with whom they will both fall in love Thomar accepts that his time may be limited but his desire to claim Danika is stronger than he could have ever imagined. Danika is a strong willed woman and she refuses to let Thomar lay down and die. When the cries of imprisoned women begin to affect her peace of mind, Danika, along with Thomar and Varin put a plan into action to rescue the women , and anyone who wishes to free from the Hive.
The relationship between Danika, Thomar and Arvin is fated ; one of immediate and undeniable attraction and need; highly erotic, sexual and uninhibited. Thomar struggles with his attraction to a woman tied to a man who is unable to control the voices and pain but Danika has already fallen for her two intended mates. The $ex scenes are erotic, edgy, passionate and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including several of the previous story line couples.
CLAIMED BY THE CYBORGS is a story of fate and love. The premise is captivating; the romance is seductive ; the characters are energetic and impassioned.
This was my first read of any of the Interstellar Brides books, of which there have been quite a few so far! I found it quite easy to read as a standalone, yes there are other characters in there that obviously have their own books, but this did not detract from this story or make it difficult to understand what was going on, which was great, just makes me want to read the others now!
So what I gathered was that the Interstellar Brides program matched Human women to Alien men, the aliens having volunteered themselves up for this mating program in the hope of finding themselves a matching mate.
Danika is the human woman, who has just been released from prison and has volunteered to join the brides program, having had a 99% match to Thomar and his second Varin (so she gets two for the price of one!)
The men are Prillion aliens who themselves have been prisoners of the Hive and have had alien technology integrated onto their body, which gives them a mental connection. But both these men have suffered terribly at the hands of the Hive and are shattered and broken, Thomar more so, unable to control his rage or keep himself in check. Varin helps Thomar through this connection to keep his emotions in check, but at the same time Varin suffers terribly from the outbursts that affect Thomar. Both men are shocked that Thomar has had a 99% human mate assigned to them..... Thomar feels he is unable to accept a mate as their prime directive is to protect and keep their mate safe, which he feels he is unable to do, but is willing to pass his mate onto Varin, but has plans on carrying out a final mission which he has no hope of returning from.
Danika has some fire in her, she has suffered herself and refuses to let Thomar sacrifice himself, she wants both of her mates and sets out to get them to claim her!
I enjoyed this storyline, there are some very hot and steamy menage scenes with the three mates, which does happen rather quickly, but I love how the aliens have nothing but their mates best interest at heart and would do anything to keep her safe and protected, even through all their own suffering.
I look forward to reading more of this series, I love the Hive idea and the different types of aliens being matched to human females, can't wait to read more of this!
Amazing I just finished this book & I absolutely loved it from start to finish!
Our human female had been put in jail at 17 for killing her stepfather to save her little brother. She stayed in jail for 7 years not wanting to Brian interstellar bride until her brother was old enough to go off to college & she knew he would be okay without her.
Her mate & his second had recently been recovered from the hive having spent 2 years as a captive & felt unworthy of a mate as they were constantly in pain & they didn’t want her to experience their pain with the collars.
I loved that she didn’t take no for an answer and literally took things into her own hands! 😆
Then they found out they were all dying with the hive collar that was permanently put on the guys and by her mating with them she now had it too.
An unlikely coincidence was that she could literally hear voices & not just the buzzing sound from the hive that the others complained of. She also saw a vision of a human female on a ship having a c section and the hive aliens taking her baby.
With the clock already ticking on their lives they decided to go on a deadly mission to try to save the human females & babies from the hive ship.
Well on the ship her primary mate found his cousin that was full of hive technology & trying to fight their mind control and they swore to save him too.
Our female protagonist had an actual conversation with the lead Hive commander, this was amazing because after 3 series & probably 30 books what he had to say totally moved the storyline in a different direction!
SPOILER warning ⚠️ he talked about how there’s something coming… a darkness that no one can stop. She asked him why not ask her help from the other aliens & he explained her mate who is the descent of a disgraced king had turned the hive away when they asked for help. He explained that there aren’t many of them left so they are trying to make the other races stronger so they will be ready when…IT comes!!! 😳 Geez that was the coolest thing to ever happen in this series!
The spice was top notch too, honestly the best!

Another fantastic edition to the Interstellar brides series, this is book nine in The Colony spin off. Grace Goodwin has created such a vast history in each book, she connects everything so well continuing with the Hive storyline as a threat and expanding and maybe resolving the ultimate enemy. I love that not only we get a ton of romance but the readers get a ton of action and suspense because of the dangerous intergalactic universe.
Claimed by the Cyborgs follows Danika, who has chosen to leave earth after being given a choice to leave of stay an an inmate after she took a life. But Danika is a survivor, she has been through hell and will do anything to make sure her younger brother can have a good life. Now she is sent to a planet known as The Colony and comes face to face with two men whom she couldn't dream up. As a interstellar bride she is mated to her perfect match and her perfect match is a Prillion Warrior who also will share his bride with his second in command. When Danika arrives she found out there is something very wrong and she may lose her mates before she can even know their names.
The romance as always is off the charts, Goodwin knows how to make her readers squirm and fan themselves for hours. The men are always protective and demanding, however they are devoted, loving and will do anything to keep their mate safe. I love how each alien race is so very different except for how much they love their mates, each love unconditionally and its very swoon worthy.
Th suspense was off the charts, a lot happens and more of the Hive story unfolds even more. I feel we are getting closer to answers and hopefully a resolution so that there could be some sort of peace. I can't wait to see what happens with the next bride.
Wow, this story line is a turnaround from what we normally would have expected, and I absolutely love it! Prillon warrior Thomar Arcas and his second, Varin, were captured by the Hive and endured the worst possible treatment anyone can endure. In a valiant escape, almost losing their lives, they destroy an enemy base and transport to The Colony where those exposed to the Hive are permanently quarantined.
Thomar and Varin have cyborg implants that keep them in continuous, excruciating pain. Unable to fight against their condition, Thomar is ready for an honorable death. He has asked to be separated mentally from Varin which will kill Thomar. And then the impossible happens. They are matched with a human bride, Danika Gray, who will do anything to save her men. She would not give up on them without a fight. While Thomar lay unresponsive on the bed, she asked Varin to put the mate collar around her neck, to let her feel what they felt. It was like an intense migraine, and yet she knew it was far less than what they were feeling. They were protecting her. She breathed deeply and accepted the pain. She knew all about pain, how to use it and how to ignore it. Could she teach her men how to deal with it as well?
This author is a favorite of mine. Her writing is, as always, excellent and she grabs you from the first page with a dream sequence which is part of the Interstellar Brides Program for testing to find a compatible match with an alien mate. The story line is excellent and well-paced. The characters are developed well and have qualities that will connect strongly with readers. This is probably my new favorite book of this series. It was truly amazing to read!!!
Claimed by the Cyborgs is the ninth book in the Interstellar Brides Program: The Colony series. Danika has never felt wanted and after years in prison, she takes the chance to be an Interstellar Bride. Her near perfect match is threatened by the Hive’s integrations and Thomar and Varin might have to make an unexpected choice to let their bride go. Will Danika fight for her mates and future, or will death consume them all?
Oh wow, what an amazing book! I don’t know how she does it, but Ms. Goodwin has created another masterpiece within an already fantastic series. Danika, Varin, Thomar, and Varin completely stole my attention and heart! This book grabbed me right away and I truly did not want to put this book down! There’s passion, drama, danger, some twists and turns I didn’t see coming, and there were some emotional scenes, too! I loved it! Danika was skeptical of the process, but I loved that she went feet first into tumbling in love with her mates. She’s a fighter, but she often feels like she doesn’t have much to give. I think she was so strong and courageous and she refused to back down! Thomar and Varin were so interesting to read, to see how the Hive worked on them and how that correlates to having a mate. I loved how much they cared for Danika and put her first, even if that seemed to them like the ultimate sacrifice. I loved their connection, I loved their passion, and I loved how they fought for each other in lots of different ways. I mentioned earlier that there were lots of intriguing twists and turns, too! I loved this book! I love this series! I can’t wait to see what developments might unfold for the future of this series, too!
“Claimed by the Cyborgs” is the ninth book in the Interstellar Brides: The Colony series. And as, All the others before this one is does NOT disappoint!! This was a fantastic addition to the series, I absolutely fell in love with the Prillon Warriors, Thomar Arcas, a royal heir, his second Varin and the earth woman, Danika Gray. Their story will suck you in from start to finish their characters were well developed and the storyline flowed smoothly. I definitely recommend reading this story, you won't be disappointed. They have gone through so much individually on different planets, different cultures and together and the results were the same: distrust, isolation and desolation. Thomar has a legacy of dishonor, Varin has been disowned by his family because he trusts and believes in Thomar, and Danika has been imprisoned on Earth. Danika Gray was matched to Prillon Prime Warrior Thomar Arcas. It was a ninety-nine percent match - a Perfect Match! And very rare, indeed…..But, can they recapture their feelings of Hope? Thomar believes he should sacrifice himself to give Varin and Danika a chance at a good life together. This story pulls at your heart strings, you continue to cheer them on…..hoping that they will find a way to be together… The story keeps you guessing, filled with intrigued, romance, sexy scenes, and fast paced. The plot is well developed, the characters are believable and as realistic as, one can get in a world unlike our own. Grace Goodwin writes a story that is EXCEPTIONAL!
Danika has been in prison since she was 17 for murdering her stepfather. The system has let her down and the only thing she has cared about is protecting her little brother. Now he is safely grown, she is able to agree to being matched by Interstellar Brides to get released from prison. She is matched to a Prillon pair who she is told is a perfect match for her. Hearing that she is brave enough to go face her new future but upon arrival her matched mates tell her they are unwilling to carry through with the match. Danika won't let that stop her, she was promised a perfect match and she will do whatever it takes to get it. ven if her mates seem intent on sacrificing themselves.
Thomar is a Prillion from a disgraced royal family. He has been fighting the Hive as a warrior for years, His second is Varin and they have been friends for years. The problem was they had fallen in battle and were taken by the Hive who had been experimenting on them. Using one of their mating links, the Hive tied the two together in a painful bond. The two are cyborgs and fighting the hold the Hive have on them. When they are rescued, they are told that Thomar's perfect match is on her way to the Colony. Horrified, they try to deny the match knowing that they are not themselves and more and that they are dying. The problem is Danika is refusing to listen

excitement, action, emotions, kept me guessing what would happen next
POV: dual HUMOR: some F BOMBS: yes CLIFFHANGER / STANDALONE: can be S NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: yes POSSIBLE TRIGGERS: alcohol & drug addictions, overdose, neglect, physical abuse, murder, depression, explicit/graphic sexy times, MFM, fifth base, women & infants held captive
CHARACTERS: Instalove between human Danika Gray (23, petite, tough, brave) and Thomar Arcas (giant cyborg, dominant, aggressive, possessive) and his second, Varin Mordin (cyborg, calm, their anchor, loyal).
PROS: 1. Original story. 2. Mates shown by wearing collars. Theirs was different than everyone else's. Loved the emotions/ thoughts shared through their collars. 3. Had excitement, action, emotions, kept me guessing what would happen next with some interesting turns. 4. Author did a great job showing how protective and loving Thomar and Varin were with Danika.
CONS: 1. One inconsistency, minor typos/grammar. 2. Although can be read as a standalone, some parts would make more sense if the previous books were read prior to this one. 3. HFN but still have loose ends.
NOTEWORTHY: 1. ReGen wand/pod that can heal almost anything (too cool!)

This one was a touch more emotional IMO than some of the other releases - Do not get me wrong it is still packed with steam
Thomar was having a rough time acclimating back after his rescue and his time spent in the enemies tender care left him with not only physical alterations but with emotional ones that left him to doubt his worth Enter Danika our snarky little human who truly gave 110% when it came to caring and protecting those she felt worthy She was running toward a promise and she would see it fulfilled At all costs You'll see what I mean
Last but not least is Varin who in my opinion balanced this throuple out He was usually the level headed one - I use that word loosely He saw hope where Danika was concerned
This held all the action and suspense I expect from this series Plenty of twists and surprises not only with relation to our smexy little trio but also changes in the landscape of the war Wait till that little tidbit is revealed (actually, a couple of OMG moments and I think Hellion has something to do with it I could be wrong but ...) Plenty of testosterone-filled "me mighty marshmallow melt your heart warriors" who would slay the world to ensure the happiness of their mates
Another heart-wrenching Colony story. If you haven't read any of these stories - The Colony is where the Coalition Hive war veterans with Hive integrations have been exiled.
This Prillon pair have suffered greatly at the hands of the Hive, as they were in Hive hands for two years. And just when Thomar is ready to do a major sacrifice for Varin, they are informed that their matched bride is in transit to The Colony. Enter Danika, one of our criminal brides (for those that don't know - criminals are given the chance to volunteer for the Interstellar Brides program to commute their sentences). Danika is looking for something she has not had since she was 8 years old - safety and security and she is willing to fight for it.
I loved that this story was more about the fallout from Thomar and Varin's captivity and the ongoing Hive experiments. I really loved that we got more information on the Hive reasoning and actions - the main twist was hinted at in previous books. I cannot wait to see were the twist is heading especially after the major reveal from the Nexus.
There are some smexy scenes for those that require them but i skipped over them to get to the action.
I am all for the story and found this edition to the series - fantastic with great reveals.
Danika Gray didn’t believe any of it. There was no way this was real. The sensation she felt was but 30 day trial with a matched mate or mates. As long as her little brother was taken care of, that was all that mattered. Thomar Arcas and his second Varin Mordin have been infected by the Hive but what is worse it that their collars are imbedded into their spine. All the torcher they went through, more Thomar than anything. He suffers the most and does not want a mate to suffer.
I love that Danika is no push over. Yes, she has a broken past but she is a fighter. She wasn’t about to let Thomar or Varin break their bond. Her history is a sad tale and yet heard so often. She took a stand and paid the price. She deserved love and someone that was going to protect her from all those monsters. Thomar is honorable even with the integrations and his past. Varin is a strong second and stands up to not only protect but takes on all the rage and pain that Thomar feels. These two are great warriors. I do love that they say that Danika is as equal as Rachel. With the Nexus out there we still don’t have enough information about them. What we learn is interesting but what do they truly want? I look forward to the next book.
Danika accepts the opportunity to be matched with an alien male in the Interstellar Bride Program so she can get out of prison and can leave her bride payment to her younger brother Josh.
Danika is mated to two Prillion warriors who have escaped captivity and torture at the hands of the Hive. Thomar doesn’t want to subject a mate to his pain and suffering and he rejects her. Varin, Thomar’s second falls for Danika’s seduction at Thimar’s bedside in the med bay. Danika is determined to claim the gorgeous alien warriors she’s been matched to and puts on their mate collar to attempt to reach Thomar under all the pain he is suffering.
These three have all faced tremendous pain, suffering and less than what they deserve. Together they are a well matched threesome and love quickly blossoms as they spend lots of sexy time strengthening their bond.
The last third of the book adds some action as Danika, Thomar and Varin go on a mission to save human women and infants held prisoner by the Hive.
This was a fast-paced, sexy and entertaining read. It was a little shorter than I anticipated, but a satisfying read none the less.

Danika is happy to get away from her prison cell and volunteer for the interstellar brides program. However, when she is told that her match is 99%, she doesn't trust the results as her life so far has taught her not to trust others. However, when she arrives at her destination, she thinks she is proven right when her matched mate and his second tell her that they will not claim her. Thomar and Varin have been contaminated after their time fighting the Hive, but their integrations are different from everyone else's and are causing them so much pain that they want to be killed, so they do not want their mate to be stuck with them if they are going to die. But Danika is stubborn and protects those that she loves, so she will not take no for an answer. Will she be able to get them to change their minds and prove to them that she is worth living for. She is on their side now and being the first person to be in their corner and fight for them may give them something to live for after all.
I really enjoyed this story, another great book from Grace Goodwin. I am looking forward to future releases.
