The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 55th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the final book for Geraldine & Shia and oh my goodness did we get the information! I have to say that I was so excited to see what the relationship between Geraldine and her mystery guardian angel was. After seeing the teaser for the next set of 3 I am super excited to get the next books! Alena needs to have her HEA!
Dark Memories Restored is book 55 in the Children of the Gods series, and the last of the Dark Memories trilogy. It is the story of Geraldine and Shai.
This story opens up new story arcs, ones that you wouldn't see coming. Unlike most of Ms. Lucas's trilogies, Geraldine is already Immortal and doesn't need to transition. It is her backstory that takes centerstage. The minor plot of the group in China also goes to forefront too.
The question is are you cheated out of romance… absolutely not! Like most of her stories there is a major and minor character. This trilogy doesn't have a minor character love story…Geraldine and Shai are the "minor" couple. She is still shifting the story arcs… there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is bright.
We finally meet the mysterious Orion and learn of his parentage. And of course the book goes out with a huge cliffhanger that urges you to seek more.
Emmett returns to Safe Haven, but the details of that were minimum and uneventful. Roberts finally loses his battle with death. Eleanor is still a conniving cunt, but Emmett doesn’t seem to mind. Maybe they are made for each other…🤷🏽♀️
Vrog is taking a step towards family and is a little timid and fearful of Vlad excepting him. Understandable considering what he asked Stella to do, but no one mentioned that Bhathian did the same for the same reasons and Nathalie understood and forgave him. Maybe Nathalie and Vlad need to talk.
No progress on Ronja and Merlin. Annani should be on her way back to the village due to the new arrival. Hopefully she will also meet Vrog while there. I honestly think she should always meet new Dormants who have agreed to attempt transition and are tru love mates. Her presence would solidify what the immortal has told the dormant about them.
Shai secret is still a secret, for now…
See my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy reading!
I have been wondering how Geraldine's memory loss would fit into the scheme of things!! Reading through all 3 of Geraldine's book you are wondering who this person is and why she lost her memory because of it. There was a lot of speculation as I was reading that there was some massive misuse of compulsion going on. But I was pleasantly surprised by how Orion fit into the story. Even better, we get to meet him in more detail in the next books.
On top of the main story, we are meeting some more details of the Kra-ell and man I am I glad that this is not going to be a repeat of Emmett's character traits. I hope we get more of that story in the next books too because I just want to know more! I know we are on book 55, but I can not stop being invested in this entire world. I love how it is all weaving together.
I was lucky to receive an advanced copy of this book to read, however, I choose to voluntarily leave my opinion without divulging too many spoilers!
Dark Memories Restored, book 55 of I.T. Lucas' The Children of the Gods series, finally gives us more insight into what happened to Geraldine. The progress on this book seems to be better than in the last few books. Jim Co grateful for that as things weren't moving along at all out seemed for awhile. I love this series and have from book 1 but had started to worry about the lack of progress. Not only does Geraldine's story move forward but so does the Kra-ell storyline. I can't wait to see what is next in her upcoming books.
I know I keep saying this but OMG I.T. Lucas keeps me hanging on every word she writes ! I’m not one to go back and reread books but I just might have to. I have purchased some of her books but the rest have been read on my Kindle Unlimited, but it is looking like I may have to purchase them all and reread them. But I am patient and will wait for the next book. I hope she keeps this saga going and all the characters popping up again and again. Thank you for being an author and writing the books I love to read!
I love this entire series. It keeps making you want more and more. I didn't see where this book was going with Orion. I was totally surprised. You will not be disappointed. I won't say too much cause I don't like giving too much away. I will say this series is a must read. You will not be disappointed. I still have hope that Annanni will find her Khiannn before all is said and done. But I don't want this series to end either. I can't wait to see what happens with Orion and Alena.
You know the book you’re reading is really when you flip the last page on your reading device and WAM it’s finished. It’s always such a shock to the system!! I really loved this one. But, heavens it was getting really good with answers and then… you turn the page…. noooooooooooooooo!! I flatly refuse to even leave a whisper of a spoiler, so, I’m choosing to say the book is fantastic I love the whole series and I can’t wait to see where we are lead to next.
Oh, I.T. Are you going to start a new series of Shai’s stories.
Dark Memories Restored KU 332 pgs **.* 12/17/21 Geraldine & Shai
2.5 stars and only because of the end of the book. As I’ve said before, I could not get into Geraldine and Shai’s story. I skimmed over most of their story, it was just so boring to me. Nothing new really happened with the government program moving forward or the resort that Emmett owned. There were a few discussions but that was it. I did enjoy where she got a few memories back and when she finally got to meet Orion. Other than that, this was a very slow, boring book to me.
Form the the Bonus book the fates take a vacation, they said the only three gods remain I assume that meant Annani, Areana and Khiann who is still in Stasis. Now the we have fourth or does this me that Khiann is not a god but immortal. I have so many unanswered questions. Smh now we wait for the next three books out which means we won't get the full picture till the end of February😫
Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better. I don’t put them down from start to finish until I have read the whole thing. The only problem is that I have to wait month or more for the next book and that each new character brings a whole new story line of 3 books which drives me crazy waiting for each book. But enough of the whining this is a fantastic series and I will continue to read every book and then read them again.
My review is not only about this story but all the books ,55 of them which took me 2 weeks to read. All the books are full of brilliant imaginations from the author. But at the end, what do we really know how we humans came to be. Sometimes the reality is stranger than the fiction. I truly enjoyed all those stories and looking impatiently to read the next one. Thank you I.T. Lucas and I want to compel you to write more.
I've loved every book in the series and can't wait for the next one. But of course I'll have to. I don't like to give spoilers but I will say I'm glad that Shai gets engaged and that there is another god that survived. Just sorry he seems to be an ass. If you've read the series this is another to enjoy. If you haven't read it what are you waiting for! Enjoy!!
Unquenched thirst for more but don’t want it to end.
I am totally stunned that after 55 volumes of this tale I still curse at the end of each book upset that its done and I have to wait for more. Ms. Lucas’s characters display so many twisted emotions while there are many tributaries of contributions all flowing slowly (painfully) toward a river of the flood of everything the Fates have in store. I can’t wait!
I never thought that after 55 books I would still be interested in a series. But your twists and turns keep me coming back for more! I love the story lines and the romance. The only thing I would complain about and mainly with this one is some of the logistics of plans they made in the book got real long winded and the excitement would cease a little. But it usually picked up by the turn of the page.
I started reading these books about 3 months ago. I couldn't stop. I like that the characters carry from book to book. You get to know them. You get involved in their stories. There have been times that I got worried about this one or that one and had to stop reading for a bit. I'm sad that I've caught up cause now I'll have to wait for the next book and that stinks! I do love this series though and thank you I. T. Lucas for writing it! Please don't stop!!
This is a worthy addition to my favorite series. It has an entirely unexpected turn that makes this book a really interesting read even if you haven’t read the previous 50 plus books that came before this one. If you haven’t read any of The Children of the Gods series, I strongly advise you to make a start on the best paranormal romance series ever written.
I absolutely love that this series always keeps you guessing. Shai and Geraldine’s story was unique and mysterious, but finished off perfectly. They are definitely one of my favourite couples and the side stories are intriguing and an excellent way to keep up to date with the clan. Loved it and can’t wait to read the next book!!!
Another amazing story chapter in the books. Can wait for the next book in this terrific series. Another reminder already added to the calendar….hopefully Khian will come bac k in the near future! Until the next book I’ll Wait with great anticipation. Again amazing series !!
As per usual, I just couldn't stop reading until the end and had to re-read again. The stories just keep getting better . I hope William finds love as well as Ariana after reading the preview in the next trilogy and the concluding books deal with Annani's fortune that was prophesied.
The tale continues and what a great read. Throughly enjoyed Book 55, as I have enjoyed1-54 and cannot wait for Book 56 Thank you so much for that wonderful imaginative mind, that gives me and I’m sure other readers the opportunity to be part of this wonderful ever growing story May it never end 💕
Well alotta ppl share my opinion these aren't really "books" they are novellas short and sweet but NEVER truly satisfying! Great job tho the story is great! Still only getting 2 stars, cause I could finish it in about three hours. Sad it makes me wonder tho if you're just greedy. Seems to be the whole world's problem lately. Ttfn
Geraldine has suffered from memory damage for as long as her daughter remembers. Cassandra had to help her mother with many tasks since she was a kid. When they both found love with men in the series they wanted to solve the mystery of Geraldine and her mysterious stranger.
I love this story line Can’t wait each month until the next book come out My only wish is that the books themselves were a little longer. I always finish reading them in a few days and then have to wait weeks for the next one to come out
Patience is required as this one gives you more of what you already know. It gradually speeds up. It is actually a race car in the end. In retrospect so much more happening now. Eleanor and Emmet and Geraldine's story promises not to disappoint. Allegra seems to be changing Kian. This story is continuously evolving. I love it all!!!
Ok, admittedly this series is officially my favorite guilty pleasure. Admitting that, this one was like the most delicious combination of happenings one could ask for. I never ever do spoilers. Just loved this one like crazy & now that there is yet another twist with a new character and his connections to Cassy & Geraldine it’s just too juicy.
Great read, had a hard time stopping until I read all 55 books
Just finished book 55. This is a great read and glad that I didn't have to wait for each new book to come. I am awed by the number of characters and how well they are woven into the stories and the series. This is a great read for those interested in stories within stories.
The book still reads like an episode of GH... jumping from storyline to storyline... BUT... We finally start to get somewhere!
I really can't tell much of what I especially enjoyed in this book without spoiling it. I will say that Annani and her sister (and Wonder) weren't the only survivors from their time.
Always new intrigue and incredible story telling! I really can't efficiently express how good this series is, how brilliant this author is. Each and every one of the 55 books in this series is a heart pumping, nail biting, page turner. My absolute favorite series of all time!
Another great ride in this universe. We get to learn more about Geraldine and her past and how she was already immortal. She is closer to the Gods in relation as well. We learn about Orion. We learn more about the Kra-ell and Stella and Vlad's connection to them. All in all another enjoyable ride.
