Choose your own adventure stories are a guilty pleasure of mine. This was an interesting story. Whimsical, spicy with a dash of adventure. A light, easy and fun read. I did find a couple of errors but nothing that ruined immersion. I enjoyed going through this little adventure.

Forbidden Choices: Choose your fantasy is a very entertaining book written by Samantha Jenson. Although at first sight readers can believe this is a book for teens or pre teens, this is not the case. It is aimed at mature audiences because of its content.
It was a very interesting and enjoyable read; one very new to me because of the gamification of the book, which I totally loved as it is the first time I’ve encountered a book such as this one. The reading is light, the pace is fast and, as the author affirms in the description, it is shorter than it seems; I read it in a couple of seats.
I would recommend this to adult readers because I liked it very much!

Do you remember those Choose Your Adventure books from when you were younger? Here is a new one, but, this one is not for children.

It's about a young woman named Lilith, raised by her aunt in a small village. Things like magic and elves are just stories. Depending on the path through the book, Lilith meets her mother, for the first time, in a very unexpected place. There is a rebellion going on, with humans, dwarves and orcs together, against elves. Lilith makes contact with the rebels. Because she is half-elf, she is not exactly welcome. The leaders of the rebellion cannot conclusively determine that she is an elf spy. They also can't conclusively determine that is she is not an elf spy, either. What do they do?

This book is very entertaining, and easy to read. It also has a lot of detailed sexual encounters. On several different levels, this book will very much keep the interest of the reader.

Y'all I don't even know what to say this book was wild and chaotic and honestly, it wasn't something I enjoyed. I was so excited when I found out that this was a choose your fantasy type of book but honestly this was confusing and inconsistent. Maybe I just made certain choices but I swear we met characters developed relationships and then never saw them again it was confusing. It was definitely a memorable read but definitely not something I think that I would try again. Overall I personally wouldn't recommend this book as I just disliked the writing style and found the plot to be messy and inconsistent but like I always say everyone has different opinions so if you're really interested in this book don't let my bad experience stop you from reading it. Please check tws as this book did have some uncomfortable themes such as SA/RAPE that the author failed to mention in the tw section on booksirens.

Thank you to BookSirens for giving me the opportunity to review this ARC!

The Review:
This book was my first “choose your own fantasy” novel. I’ve played tons of games and watched shows that circle around a similar premise, but I never knew that novels could be so fun!
I really enjoyed reading this and was happy at how quickly I could read through it while still getting my fantasy fix.
This book has definitely encouraged me to read more books alike to this one!

I was attracted to this book because when I read the description, I was surprised it was aimed at adults. Then when I knew it contained a sort of gamification, I couldn’t resist giving it a try. I can honestly say that reading Forbidden Choices was a whole new experience to me as the book takes you from one part to another as we chose to click some links.

The story is good, with a very good and entertaining plot and the narrative is clear and fast paced. I don’t know exactly how much time it took me to read the whole of it, but it was just a couple of days. Something I really like because I don’t have much spare time.

All in all, I liked the plot and characters but what I enjoyed the most was the way in which it is written.

Forbidden Choices is a 'choose your adventure' type of book that I really enjoyed reading. There are different types of ending depending on your choices. I love that I could return to the start of the book and experience different story paths once I've reached an ending.

The magical characters in the story make the book very interesting.
Elves, humans, ogres are some of the characters that one will read about in Forbidden Choices.
Although at first sight, one might think that this book is for teens / young adults but this is actually aimed at mature audiences.

Though there are many fairytale like stories out there, I feel like this story is one that is very original. I was never bored while reading and felt very immersed in this particular world.

Like I said, this is not a book for the young ones.
If you're looking for an erotic, choose your adventure type of book, definitely try this.
I do recommend it!

Samantha Jenson has penned a compelling novel called ““Forbidden choices: Choose your fantasy”. The moment I started reading, I was hooked with the plot which includes human beings, elves and magical sceneries. As a fan of fantastical beings, I found this one very original.
In Lilith´s world anything may happen; I had the chance of experiencing and picking her paths. It has been an escapade to me. While I was reading, I felt immersed in these peculiar settings and the characters' lives.
Samantha´s writing style is engaging and simple to follow. It seems to be a reading for children but actually it´s ideal for adults. I highly recommend it since the story soon will get any reader involved.

OK, well... I read an erotic choose-your-own-adventure book. I don't know what my life is going to be like now, but unlike Lilith from Forbidden Choices I can't just go back a chapter and choose another path. I was never bored, though I was occasionally left wondering who all the biting is supposed to be for, and the adult scenes were surprisingly well written. I laid out my thoughts in more detail using a CYOA gimmick here: https://hotoffthepresses.blog/2021/10...

This is the first choose your own adventure that I have ever come across for adults, and I loved it. The story and characters are interesting and have read it twice already with two totally different stories both times and still have not exhausted all the possibilities yet. I hope there are more like this and will be looking for them.

This was a fun sexy read. I enjoyed the Story (stories) themselves, and who doesn’t enjoy a good choose your own adventure? I’m still not sure if I read all of the outcomes, but I liked the ones I did read. I could also see making this a fun little cyoa bit of bedtime reading if you ever want to build a story with your partner.

I received an ARC, but my opinions are all mine.

Normally I like to write long reviews about the books I read. Mostly because I think that a star rating and a few empty sentences don't say much about a book. After all, something I love can be something you dislike and the other way round. However, I think that in this case I could explain quite easily why this book and I weren't a match and why I will therefore not rate this book. It's quite hard to rate a book when you're clearly not the right audience.

Normally I love those stories where you can make choices for the heroine. I love jumping around through a story, discovering all the different options and knowing that a book will truly be different every time I read it. In this case I went through the story one time and decided to not go back to read the other choices. After the amount of pages I read I had an idea what was waiting for me there and it's not something I look for in a book.

If you want some fun erotica, set in a fantasy world with dwarfs and elves and magic, you will certainly enjoy this book. It's also a quick read, even if you want to explore all the different routes and possibilities to reach the end of the story. It can totally be that easy, spicy, read you need on a hard and long day, when you're exhausted. However, be prepared that everything apart from the sex is quite clearly meant as decoration and therefore not really developed.

The characters in this story didn't really have a personality, mostly because we never really got to know them that well or that long. Even our heroine seems to be the kind of person who never decides anything for herself, but always lets others decide for her (which might be fitting, since the reader has some control too) and although what we see of the world seems interesting I personally wished that everything was a little more developed and described in a little more detail.

This demi-sexual needs a little more plot and personality with her sex to actually enjoy it. Which, like I already said, just made the book and I a mismatch and doesn't mean it's a bad book in its genre.

It was an okay read. Nothing amazing but a fun experience altogether.

It was my first "choose your own adventure" book and it was fun to to make your own story and then go back and see all the other alternatives. I went back few time to see if I will get the same end. It keeps the experience new.

My main issue was the writing. It was a little bit sloppy. I would love a few more scenery descriptions and a little bit more of character development. I don't know if the author could do more world building because it was a "choose your own adventure" book, but the world was interesting even if it was not explained much.

All in all was a fun experience as I said in the beginning and a fun way to pass the time.

Omg, y'all. It's a choose-your-own-adventure book! I literally found myself giggling when I realized that. It was definitely a plus.

Each storyline has something going for it, and they all converge into one of two endings. One is a kind-of happily-ever-after, while the other is not. It's a fun and easy read.

At times the writing is disjointed and inconsistent with some details (for example, at one point the protagonist Lilith routinely collects mushrooms, but during a mushroom hunt, she's unknowlegable about which are poisonous). The grammar and typos made a lot of areas cumbersome (at one point she says the man in the dungeon might be her uncle, and in the next sentence says her father has been missing).

But, if you're looking for a fun, easy read, you can't go wrong. Plus it has elves and dwarves, and ogres!

I really think this book has potential. Its a choose your own story romance book and I do like some of the characters but I feel like I went too quickly. Not enough time was spent building the characters so the readers knew them before things started happening. overall I liked the story, I just wish more time had been spent on building the characters and world before getting into everything.

This was awful... There are a lot of poorly written sex scenes every other chapter (not usually a complaint I have but they have no build up and come out of no where). Not a single ending is a happy ending... I looked through them all after my first shot at this book ended with her as someones sex slave... It was just awful. You can find better on Wattpad if you just want a short sexy book. Do not waste your time or money
