"Ophelia has done a remarkable job of putting together the basic facts about the central nervous system in a succinct and illustrated form. I am sure many young people out there, after reading this neat monograph, would be interested and get inspired to commit to the study of Neuroscience. It is from these generations of new comers expanding the frontier of knowledge that one day the mystery of the brain could be unravelled." - Dr. Dawson FONG (President of the Hong Kong Neurosurgery Society)
My husband got me this book for my birthday as I want to study neuroscience and psychology (just out of sheer fascination). I read this in one sitting to get a general understanding and will definitely be rereading and referring to it in the future. Such a digestible introduction to a complex subject! Also incredibly enjoyable to read.
My favourite part about this book is how it makes a complex topic digestible. I’m trying to learn more about neuroscience and psychology and of all the neuroscience books I’ve tried, this made it the easiest to understand. I love that it’s small enough to reread when I need a refresher and the diagrams are wonderful! Thanks Ophelia.
