PLEASE The first two installments of this series is not my usual chaotic, Urban fiction. Yet, they are necessary to develop and understand what’s to come. This series is a saga, so please be patient. This is also a re-release of the Love, Sex, Lies series, published nearly ten years ago. So, these characters are close to my heart. They deserved a makeover.For some, love doesn't happen overnight. For many, their journey to love comes after loss, trauma, betrayal, and a lot of lessons learned. THIS is Lyric, Vic, and Tricey's journey to everlasting love.
In this raunchy, romantic soap-opera–style tale of promiscuity and corruption, Jessica continues this saga with the usual drama, romance, and loveable bad boys. Yet, with an ending that will leave you breathless.The only thing on nineteen-year-old Star Anderson’s mind is taking care of her son, by any means necessary. However, by means of breaking her back at a minimum wage nine-to-five is not an option. Therefore, she follows in the footsteps of her friend, Roxie, down a path of scamming, tricking, and robberies. Though this path seems to be paved with fast and easy money, tragedy strikes when plans become hurried and messy.Star’s big sister, Tricey, attempts to clean up Star’s mess while fighting with her new and loving beau. He suddenly wants her to leave Chicago with him with no explanation. Though she is deeply concerned about her boyfriend's sudden need to leave Chicago, Tricey is so focused on rescuing Star that being a lovesick puppy and following him out of state is not an option.However, Lyric doesn’t mind being lovesick. She and her boyfriend are knee-deep in love and the “lifestyle”. Their relationship is full of excitement, raunchiness, and spontaneity. She obtained a Bachelors of Arts with Focus in Psychology from DePaul University and Masters of Applied Professional Studies with focus in Business Administration from the like institution. Working in Hospital Administration for the majority of her career, Watkins has also been an author of fiction literature since the young age of nine. Eventually she used writing as an outlet during her freshmen year of high school as a single parent: “In the third grade I entered a short story contest with a fiction tale of an apple tree that refused to grow despite the efforts of the darling main character. My writing evolved from apple trees to my seventh and eighth grade classmates paying me to read novels I had written about kids our age living the lives our parents wouldn’t dare let us”. SPOILER ALERT ! better than book one
This book was way better than book one. I do not want to believe that lyric is this weak she would accept something she’s not comfortable with just to keep a man. Smh it’s sad. And for him to keep gaslighting her blew me! The audacity of him ! From the beginning of the book i already knew that Smith was the one who set up blood. Smh and tricey had no right getting in a relationship with him, that shit was foul. I really hope in book 3 blood stays away from her ass

As expected
It was good, as expected. I was a little thrown off when I first started it out but that's bc I wanted to know what happened at Walgreens with Akbar, Bridget, and Tricey lol. I had a feeling about Smith too. When they kept mentioning Blood at the beginning my attends were up expecting exactly what happened. But Vic is being weird. Really really weird, and I'd like to see why. While it wasn't edge of your seat drama every step of the way, it was still very good and I finished it in one sitting.

Yes blood is back.....
I thought book 1 was a bit full on, but book 2 was amazing. I feel so sorry for Star they need to find the others and real
with them. Blood, yes can't wait to see what happens there. Ty really wants his cake, could not be me, Raven would not have been sitting uncomfortably in my man's house. Can't wait for book 3 great story Miss Jessica do your ting girl.

Wow what a story.
This series so far is becoming .y most favorite of them all. I don't like talking about the story my h because I no I will give it away before you all read it yourselves. And I don't like to fo that. This book and this series are so frigging good and beautiful. It tugs at your every emotion and I am so excited for the next installment 🙂.

Love, sex, friendships and Betrayal
Loved it 🥰 so glad that blood is back can’t wait to hear more from him and why he went to jail and how smith snaked him. Hope Star comes out of this. It’s a great read as always.

Crazy
I don't know what to make of these three friends. Now the little sister is caught up. Common Sense isn't common to everyone.

A TRUE PAGE TURNER

This Book 2 was everything and then some. I had big nervous anxiety the entire time.
The twists and turns had me gasping for breath.

I look forward to reading the 3rd book. This book we got more of Smith (Blood’s best friend) and Star (Latrice’s baby sister) . They were lightly mentioned in book one.
