Summer Mclean is a busy, independent woman and this suits her just fine. Between looking after her grandmother, their farm, and working at the diner in town, she has no time to spare for thoughts of marriage. Then, one night, Summer finds a baby on her doorstep. Bewildered and overwhelmed, she’s suddenly faced with choices she never expected. When the handsome town doctor starts visiting her farm to help out though, she’s torn...
Will she open her heart, or shut him out the way she has most people her entire life?
Terrence Swanson moved to Texas knowing that all he wants is to help people as a doctor. He's noticed Summer for quite some time now, but respects that she isn't looking for romance. When she comes to him for help with caring for an abandoned baby, he can't turn her down. Yet the more he helps her, the deeper he falls in love with both her and the baby. Will Terrence be able to overcome Summer's walls and show her that letting others in isn't always a bad thing?
When a new arrival in town threatens everything they hold dear, Summer and Terrence will be tested in ways they never imagined. Will their fragile connection withstand the most difficult of times ahead and blossom into life-changing love? Or could they end up losing everything they care about?
"Guided by a Shared Miracle" is a historical western romance novel of approximately 80,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.
Lorelei Brogan was born and raised in Idaho where she currently lives with her husband.
While sitting in her graduate school apartment, studying Rock science, Lorelei decided to set aside her notes and try her hand at romance.
At the same time, she used to write articles for a local newspaper under a pseudonym, and this made her wonder if she could write something besides news -- about something she really loved. At the age of 40 she managed to make her dream come true.
She has a great family and 4 sons that she adores. She is extremely proud of them, and so are they. They really admire her work, and support her in every step of her life. Her oldest son, who deeply loves her, says Lorelei’s novels make him travel to a different world.
In her spare time, she loves cooking and volunteering at her local elderly care home. She also adores traveling with her husband. Their dream is to travel all over the world, with Asia being at the top of her “bucket list”.
My mom recommended this novel to me, and it was a fairly simple but satisfying romance with a light historical setting. The pacing was leisurely and the story often sweet. There were some grammatical and copyediting errors in the book—not a ton, but I did notice some (laid instead of lay, missing quote marks, etc.). The abandoned-baby plotline was interesting, although it was easy to figure out the identity of the birth mother. Terrence, the male love interest, didn’t seem to have any flaws, and was portrayed as a patient, hard-working, emotionally supportive man—he even changed messy diapers without protest! Overall, I found the story a nice change from the darker thriller or apocalyptic YA I’ve been reading. The Christian elements were super light, with occasional references to God and going to church.
An absolutely beautiful and inspiring journey of love
This is a wonderful journey of true friendship and love. The characters are absolutely interesting and inspiring. I love their story full of twists and turns throughout their journey. So many unexpected events that kept me hooked throughout the night and morning until I finished reading even the extended epilogue. Beautiful love story. Love it all from beginning to the end. It brought tears to my eyes and I felt it in my heart. Excellent writing ani highly recommend reading this beautiful and inspiring story. Thank for sharing your amazing gift of writing.
Great story! Just a tiny miracle can change a life in case perhaps two. Finding a babe was not something Summer had ever expected yet it did. What will she do and will she allow the doctor to help? Dr. Terrence Swanson came to Texas because he wanted to help people little did he know that fate had something up its sleeve. This book was extra special and I was so moved by it. The writing is excellent, the characters are realistic and wonderful, and the challenges the characters face were so well done. High praise for this piece I highly recommend the book.
This is a wonderful and well written story about a young woman that was abandoned by her parents finds a baby on her porch and takes him as hers The young town doctor falls in love with them both The characters are determined and emotional and forgiving and caring The extended epilogue shows love and happiness This author is talented Loved reading this story
This is a great story of love and triumph over life's challenges! Summer thinks she cannot depend on anyone, ever and I love how that thought gradually changes with the help, support and love of Terrence. He is patient and kind in teaching her a different way of thinking. Of course the sweet baby in the story helps too! Some scary situations as the baby may be taken from her. What an exciting, thoughtful, wonderful book! A joy to read!
So sweet and clean . Wonderful story about a young woman who takes care of her grandmother and who has caught the eye of the young Dr. In town. A baby left on het door steps brings them closer together. Heart warming. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.

A great book of a loving community that comes together to take care of their own. There were some surprising twists to the story, however, it was to bring about the most loving and caring ending...especially for best friends and marriage. Great job.
I love stories of strong pioneer women who are excelling through hard work and determination not to mention strong support. This main character is just such a woman that becomes stronger and happier with the support of a good man.
