AN ANCIENT RELIC
A SECRET BROTHERHOOD
AN INFERNAL HUNTER
AND FOUR FRIENDS ON THE BACK ROADS OF HELL.

When a flight from Canada has to make an emergency stop at a small, remote airport in the middle of the mountains, Heather, Ashley, Ian, and Marcus decide to make the drive home to Maryland rather than wait for the airplane to be repaired. The only thing on their minds is getting home in time for Christmas.

Little do they know, however, that their rental car has come with a surprise, and that just seeing another Christmas might be a miracle too big to expect.

As an ancient puzzle is constructed along their path, and a blood-thirsty demon hunts them for what he believes is his, the four friends will find themselves caught in the midst of an age-long battle between Light and Darkness, ultimately coming face to face with the dark secrets hidden deep within their own hearts.

I enjoyed this story very much although I found it to be extremely sad. It's about a ring, a conspiracy, the end of the world and the 2 couples who are caught up in it's tangled web. Plenty of action and close encounters with spiritual warfare and the Dark Man who has made a deal with the devil. A nice prequel to "Solomon's Key", both of which I highly recommend.

The book started a bit slow and at first I thought it'd be filled with a ton of religious quotes and what not but it got a lot better. It's extremely graphic in details and I'll say that right off the bat so if you're squeamish, you might consider another book. For myself, I've read books with darker details so I was ok with it. The slow unraveling of everyone's secrets as the story progressed was interesting and tied things together nicely with the main story and it did show that no matter how good of a person you are, everyone's got a bit of a dark side to them, well almost everyone(I won't comment further on that so as to not spoil anything). This book also shows just how evil humans can get and how some just seem to gravitate towards it and enjoy it. It's a shame how it ends after having a promising start with the main characters and it's intriguing to think there's another book out after this one that keeps on going and seems to go further with the scary reality of our own real world- of world powers and all that.

The Demon Signet by Shawn Hopkins had me biting my nails from start to finish. It is an incredibly well done suspense/thriller/paranormal tale, with just a dash of NWO thrown in for good measure. The characters are well drawn, and there's a delightfully macabre twist at the end. It's the perfect prequel to Hopkins' "The Solomon Key", which is also a must read.

Interesting

Not bad but not great either. Its might just be me but my interest waned and sparked while reading this book. Up and down. Almost just put it down.

Dangerous Highways

Easy to follow a nightmare that we all have, being stranded in a traffic jam. This dark novel kept me on the edge of my seat.. not the ending I was hoping for but maybe it’s more real.. Great story..

The Demon Signet...review

Overall this book was very interesting and kept me turning the pages. But the end was super depressing and I was not happy with it. I guess I should personally stick to books with happy endings because I did not like this. I read this because I got it for free and thought it would be interesting and it is but still super depressing.

The Demon Signet was a little confusing and not a little twisted but I thought it was an interesting read with more than enough twists to keep me interested. It did lag quite a bit to build a sense of impending doom and apprehension but all in all its a fairly decent read.
