A ruthless, modern-day pirate of a CEO, Jericho Forge prefers the deck of his ships to dry land—and he always plays to win, no matter the game. His latest pawn is poker champion India Baptiste, whose life he takes by storm, talking her into a deal with a devil—trading her freedom for something even more precious. But India doesn’t realize Jericho is holding an unbeatable hand and never shares everything he knows. Now she has to survive the high-stakes game of her life with her heart intact, if she can manage not to fall in love with the enigmatic and only partially civilized billionaire. But Jericho faces his toughest challenge ever. Triumph will require the one thing he’s never offered to a woman in his life—his heart. Absorbing

Enjoyed first two books even though India was indecisive, flighty and too mixed up to be an elite poker player. Neither of the two main characters impressed as confident mature adults. Failed to communicate.
Third book was unnecessary and ran on until the end which could have been incorporated into book two. Ending was rushed with too many twists and disclosures introduced at the same time.

I ate it up. It felt like a 2009 KU series. Three short books—first two were cliffhangers, last book was cheesy — but that spread allows for so much more angst. And I love angst. Dual pov with Joe Arden on audio 😮‍💨

So Rich.

The characters were almost all rich, a bit more complicated. But a good love story gets me every time! Add the HEA and I am hooked.
