The long road trip to the prison on the other side of Hokkaido finds our heroes crossing paths with some more quirky criminals who have parts of the treasure map tattooed on their skin. First up is a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style pair of robbers, giving us an odd little love story amidst all the action. Next is an even odder love story as we are introduced to a man obsessed with bestiality. The Ainu girl Asirpa is deeply offended and wishes to quickly put an end to this perversion.

Solid middle chapters of a long saga, but I'm getting a little bored with all the gotta-catch-em-all side trips no matter how humorous or well done.

Volume 11 covers two arcs i.e. Lighting and O-gin Arc and Shinton Anehata Arc (half). It was fast paced with mediocre storyline and good action sequence. While most new characters are crazy, weird and twisted, this volume introduces a new tattooed prisoner that takes the cake for being sick. Once you've read this volume, you'll know what I mean.

Wieder einige lustige Momente (Shiraishi!), eine turbulente Liebesgeschichte à la Bonnie & Clyde mitsamt actionreichem Showdown mit Tsurumi und seinem Team, ein perverser Abashiri-Ausbrecher (vielleicht der schlimmste von allen?).
In diesem Band fühlten sich die Kapitel eher nach Nebenstory an. Ich bin bereit, dem Abashiri-Gefängnis und Noppera-bō näher zu kommen.

Golden Kamuy is one of my favorite current manga series. This is an OK, but not an outstanding entry in the series. Generally, in each volume there is one large scale set piece that is brilliantly executed. This volume consist more of smaller moments.

The scene with the poisonous snake was pretty good, and the the two lovers who are master criminals brought some style to the proceedings, but the main overall plot did not move forward a lot, and the volume did not have as many laughs as a typical volume has.

It is by no means bad. It just did not hit as many highs as previous volumes did.

What is with all the creepy people popping up here lately? Continues to be a good series but is getting a bit drawn out now, although we have found 2 more tattoed prisoners in this one volume so it will hopefully speed up from here.

This volume is basically two sub-plots: O-gin and her man Sakamoto; animal lover and Tanigaki in peril. I loved them both.

O-gin the Viper is stunning cunning badass killer and thief. I like her a lot! I'm sad anime adaptation totally omitted her and her man story arc. I'm glad I've met her here. Both of them + skins of the convicts + Tsurumi & Koito & 7th division = epicness!!!. I like the parallels to vipers in the second plot line in Asirpa & her Co adventures.

The animal lover man... If you know, you know.

Tanigaki is too damn hot. Honestly, Tanigaki, Ogata and Sugimoto have no right to be that attractive bastards.

Bueno, ya puedo tachar "un tipo violando a un oso" de la lista de cosas que me quedan por ver en un manga. Esta absurda parodia del fundador de los Boy Scouts, los chistes de pollas a cuenta de fornidos señores desnudos y la graciosisíma escena en la que el homoerotismo más o menos soterrado de la serie se concreta en una orgía/combate de sumo entre los protagonistas masculinos, nos revelan a un Noda totalmente a su bola, pasándoselo como un enano. Pero a pesar de lo WTF? de algunas de las situaciones, Golden Kamuy sigue siendo un estupendo tebeo de aventuras, muy gracioso, muy divertido, y terriblemente entretenido.

Em geral esta mangá é muito boa, mas ultimamente o autor anda a abusar nas personagens pervertidas. Sendo o zénite delas, aquele que é a personagem mais estúpida e o mais ridículo dos condenados tatuados: um tipo que quer violar tudo o que é animal e morre ao violar um urso. -.- Honestamente, o autor andava cada vez mais a usar como twist o choque apenas pelo choque, sem qualquer conteúdo narrativo.
Felizmente, lá para o fim o volume a história voltou a encaminhar para a demanda pelo ouro Ainu.

The freaks really come out in this one! Oh my! The journey is taking quite a few side trips; these tattooed convicts are like pokémon... gotta skin them all! I enjoyed the brief Bonnie and Clyde interlude (Ogin’s viper tat was fierce!), but it did descend rather rapidly into caricature. The animal “lover” really takes the prize for looniest toon. What a reprobate! Too funny that straight arrow Tanigaki takes the heat for that guy. It is almost easy, in all the madness, to forget the familicidal Ogata’s backstory... okay, maybe not. It’s impossible to forget that!

I haven't seen the anime and read volume 1 of manga to one of finished reading, but i watched the trailer for it. It's about Sugimoto and company searching escaped prisoner bearing tattoos on their skins as map to Ainu gold, but they are not the only one looking for the gold too. Its filled with violence, funny moments, sex and nudity, betrayals, and learned about the Ainu's culture and traditions.

No estoy seguro de por qué, pero sentí lento este tomo. Uno más lleno de diversión, turbulencia e información. La primera parte, de la serpiente y el rayo, me pareció muy entretenida, aunque pensé que explotarían más a los personajes. La forma en que Tsurumi se excita con las armas… uff. Y la segunda parte, donde vemos el encuentro de Sugimoto con otro preso que gusta de fornicar con animales (!). Este manga no teme ser crudo, y es genial. Además el pecho de Tanigaki, uff.

Un tomo de transición, que asienta algunas cosas interesantes

En este tomo podemos apreciar la rocambolesca dinàmica del equipo Tsurumi junto a su nueva incorporación, un pequeño aditivo en la dinàmica de Sugimoto y Asirpa, el cierre de un arco de villanos y la apertura de otro, y el como dos grupos separados se juntan de nuevo.

Aún no han transmitido la esperada noticia, pero veremos qué ocurre!!

I have got to stop being surprised by the antics of these criminals we keep meeting. Although I did like O-gin and Sakamoto! They were such a fun duo and I’m sad at just how quickly this series brings in these characters and then drops them… it does keep the plot hopping though.

Also finally the tragic Ogata backstory is unlocked. I still feel slightly uneasy about Ogata but his inscrutable nature is also something that makes him a compelling character. Just slightly unhinged, that one!

-よく作品中に出てくる植物の紹介シーン（植物の絵と共に名前が書かれてる）にしれっと「シライシ」が入ってるのがウケる。白石、すっかりギャグ要員。
-鶴見中尉が出てくると背景が芥子の花。中尉の大ファンの鯉登少尉が緊張して早口の薩摩弁になって誰も理解できないのが面白い。（WW2中も、情報交換の暗号として使われていて、アメリカ側はどこの国の言葉か分からなかった）
-明治期の北海道に実在して何人もの旅人を殺害した「蝮のお銀」（千枚通しを首の後ろから差し入れて、脳味噌を搔きまわして殺害）、同じく実在した「稲妻強盗坂本慶一郎」の夫婦が日本版ボニー＆クライドで楽しい
-次の悪役が、獣姦する「姉畑支遁」。110話の題名が「支遁動物記」…いやぁあああああああああ

ちょっと同じような話の連続で疲れてきてしまったが、次の12巻が図書館から手元に回ってくるのは結構先のハズなので、内容を覚えておかなければ。

Loved seeing Ogata’s backstory, made him a lot more likeable for me. The little side story of Kei and Ogin was so fun as well, the fight and escape panels were beautiful. But that one two page spread at the end, if you know you know, WTF was that about.

this is comedic manga about Ainu girl and her Japanese companions during war time and not a manga about indigenous uprising against the majority ethnic.

Oh and ofc it's culinary manga. One that I could never recook.

Asirpa's reaction to snake was one hilarious scene that made me cackle so bad I couldn't breath.

A rather...unusual arc. I understand why a lot of people have issues with it, but remember these guys are criminals and as such tend to do unsavory things. Poor Asirpa though, she might act mature but she still has a lot of innocence left.
