Coven seer, Mags, caught in the maelstrom of her own mind, can no longer trust her abilities. As the only witch capable of activating air, she battles to hold onto her sanity long enough to activate the air element and save herself.
A newcomer to Baile, Jack has no clear understanding of his purpose in being there. A loner with a dark past, Jack may be the only fixed point in Mags’s shifting reality.
Irresistibly drawn together, Mags and Jack cling to each other in a rapidly evolving magical landscape.
As enemies gather in and around Baile castle, the cré-witches and their warrior guardians must find inventive ways to tackle their uncertain future. Desperate and smarting from her failures, blood witch Rhiannon has a deadly new weapon at her disposal.
The stakes have never been higher, and time is running out for Mags and air magic, in this the third volume of the Cré-Witch Chronicles.
Born British and raised in South Africa, Sarah Hegger suffers from an incurable case of wanderlust. Her match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal she accepted six short weeks after they first met. Together they’ve made homes in seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made her multilingual, but the best she can manage is idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese, even worse Zulu and enough French to get herself into trouble.
Mimicking her globe trotting adventures, Sarah’s career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of her first love, writing. She also moonlights as a wife and mother.
She currently lives in Draper, Utah, with her teenage daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, Sarah’s restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.
Another prime example of why Sarah Hegger is one of my favourite authors.
The thing I love most about this book series is that even though each book is about a different element, and in turn a different witch/character. We still get the development for all the other characters and relationships that are still growing even after their own book and story.
I don't want to spoil it but Sarah you finally gave me the thing I have been asking for since book 1.... you know what I meant... thank you. It was perfect!
This book had a little less action than the others but it definitely was all about moving the story along and laying the groundwork for where the next book will take us and so I actually didn't mind.
I really love that she sets up the magical system with the rules and how things have been for years but then she plays with it and bends the rules to show progression in time.
This has become one of my favourite series and I cannot wait for the next book.
Wow. What a book. A fantastic next installment in the Cré-Witch series. Sarah does a brilliant job of mixing things up and throwing in plot twists you don't see coming! And the ending........
Best book of the three so far! I didn’t want it to end! Sarah has weaved her characters together and I can’t wait to see what happens! She is a masterful storyteller! Love her books!
This is another fantastic book in this series!!! The roller coaster ride sucked me in like the others and as always I can’t wait for the next in the series. Sarah you’ve written another stellar book. Thank you.
Man oh man...this has to be my favorite book so far in the series. It was everything! So many things coming together and truths coming out! Gah! Thank you Sarah for your amazing mind that creates these fabulous stories!
I absolutely love this series! If you are looking for a magical story with characters that are intriguing as well as genuine, artfully crafted world building and an amazing storyline, then this is for you. Cre’Witch magic is definitely my cuppa tea!
With each book I’m loving the story and characters more and more. This fast becoming one of my favourites. Right up there with T.M. Cromer’s Thorne Witches. Really can’t wait for the next one.
Holy crap who would have thought Roderick: Alexander's father. What a twist and then a female coimdeacht. I know that Jack and Emma are going to get to Mags, but how with her in the south of France. Taylor; can't wait to read Cradled in Earth.
This series leaves you on the edge of your seat....
I adore Mags story.... Long seen as the flighty one in the coven and with her powers going a bit sideways. Sarah takes us on a great adventure with Jack and Mags. I'm on the edge of my seat I can't wait for the twins book.
Absolutely adore this new addition to the Chronicles. Amazing story, hilarious in some parts and spicy in others. If you love paranormal romance, this is a must.
This is the second time I have read through this book. The way Sarah intertwines the characters and the story is incredible. Just when you think you have it figured out, she throws something else in. I am looking forward to re-read book 4 in anticipation for book 5!!
Oh my, I love these characters and the plot of this series. Thank you so much for this awesome coven and the bonds of love and chemistry. I am anxiously awaiting the next in the series.
Oh my what new twist and turns some I had picked up on others that took my breath away.... Mags and Jack's story well I can't wait to see what happens next....
What can I say the cre' witch series was a really great read, I couldn't wait for the next book to come out and now that I have read all of the books in this series I'm sad it's over.
I was really surprised by all the storylines in this book. It wasn’t just about Mags and Jack which I really liked. I think I like these books so much because it’s about all of them together and they keep me guessing and looking forward to what’s next. It keeps us the reader on our toes and immersed in the book instead of knowing where and when the end is. These are not your cookie cutter storylines, this happens, then this happens, the end and we don’t know what happens to all the other characters. The stories delve deep and keep adding more and I’m totally obsessed and wanting more.
