Her Kings by Whitnay Edes Just one more year until I'm out of here. Two thousand miles will separate me and my tormentors The Kings of Hunter's High. Damien, Lincoln, Ethan, and Aaron. Damien was my best friend until middle school, something changed after my dad died and he started pushing me away. Lincoln was new freshman year, I thought he'd be different since he was nice to me at first. Turned out, I was wrong. He was the ruthless one. Ethan and Aaron, The Twins. One jock type and one Emo type. They were sweet to me until they became friends with Damien in middle school. I kept my nose to the ground and my grades in the sky. I was leaving and never looking back until a letter from my dead father changed it all.
Multiple POV RH The content may be triggering and I don’t want that to happen to you. The following is included but not limited to: Harsh language, fighting, killing, kidnapping, BDSM, Bullying, and many more
Candace is the quiet one in school and can't wait to finish her senior year so she can get out of her hometown and away from her 4 billy's, The Kings. Damien, Lincoln, and the twins Ethan and Aaron are The Kings of the school. Damien and Candace were best friends until 8th grade and he started pushing her away. When they guys find out she is leaving town after graduation they enact their plan. Little does Candace know, all 4 guys are in love with her and want to share her. But the guys have a pretty huge secret about what they are and are afraid to tell Candace and make her run away.
These guys are DARK!!! But they love their girl with everything they are. Secrets get revealed, some drama, all while Candace is trying to build relationships with her Kings. The spice in this book is so freaking HOT too!!! I cant wait for book 2!!! Whitnay is one of my favorite authors now!!!
This book almost made my DNF. Candace has been bullied endlessly through highschool by four boys calling themselves the kings. She works her arse off to get away from her tormentors only for them to stop it and she is forced to complete her senior year at high school with them. Overall this could’ve been a really good book but too much happens in the space of 24 chapters and it feels like the author wrote it just so she could write the end chapter.
*do not read past here if you dont want to know the details*
When she gets caught in a tornado warning with the four boys she asks them why they bullied her and they tell her it’s because they love her and she’s just like ‘fair enough’ And immediately falls into a relationship with them there’s no resistance there’s no fighting.
Candace is written as the woman who can do it all. She can handle guns and weapons like a pro, fight her way out of any situation and is somehow intensely medically trained. To be honest I’m disappointed a character written that strong should’ve had some fight in her instead she excepted because we love you as a reason for endless bullying and jumped on the mafia bandwagon without a second thought.

I loved the twists in this book! There were some angles I did *not* see coming and that’s always refreshing when reading a well-loved trope.
Candace may seem timid and weak, but there is so much more to her. After enduring years of torment from her bullies, she is ready to be done and move as far away as possible.
The Kings however have other plans. I loved these guys and loved how different they all were from each other. They are so unique you can tell who is talking just by what they say and that really made it easy to get lost in their world.
Highly recommend this book - and can’t wait to see what happens next!
LOTS OF TYPOS! Also Candace's mouth and attitude ruined the book for me. All the ways I disliked Candace... ▪︎ conceited (in her monologue she calls herself hot & "a fucking knock out") ▪︎ bitchy attitude ▪︎ after turning 18 she dresses more provocative, starts acting like a bad bitch, can fight, handle guns & knives, oh and medical training (yeah 👌🏻 that's totally believable)
This is not your typical RH book. I was taken by surprise so many times during this phenomenal read that I honestly don't even want to be writing this review because I want to jump straight into the next book. Candace is not the delicate little flower she's believed to be. She has a darkness that takes the guys by surprise and possibly could even rival each of theirs. Elements of this book include: dark romance, enemies to lovers/bully (in the beginning only) RH, bdsm, blood play, mafia. Seriously never a dull moment while i was reading. Hands down loved it.
The story is pretty good and I like the characters a lot. It had the right amount of darkness and sweetness. I think it could be even better with more editing. There were missing or totally wrong words used which sometimes distracted from the story. I also hope Candace and the guys get a bit more character development between them, especially their backstories.
I was lucky to score an ARC!!! This book is hella good!!! These guys think that this QUEEN is a weak and scared little princess. Well let me tell you!!! She proves them wrong in so many ways!!! This book is an RH and dark and honestly I can't get enough!!!
Honestly the queen and kings could completely ruin me and I would smile say thank you before begging for more.
This book has so much potential. The kinks, A+ the plot got a little sloppy to the end. But the beginning was interesting. There were a lot of misspellings and typos and lack of punctuation. And also some cringy parts. But if it weren’t for that, easily would have been 5 starts. Stabby characters? Yesss but the female was also able to be submissive instead of thinking she was better than her men. Ugh
“I will never bow to a King. My King will bow to his Queen!”
This book was fantastic and such an amazing ride! I don’t even know how to put into words how much I loved this book. You just need to get your hands on it and read it! So freaking good!!! I cannot wait for the next book! These characters are fire!!! The amount of love and devotion they all have for one another is unmatched!!!
I so wasn't ready for this book! I knew it was a bully romance. I knew it was RH. It was so much more. There are so many threads to this story, so many twists, and so much spice. I really enjoyed the character evolution throughout the book, and loved each of the men at different times for different reasons. Candace is a BADASS. Let's just make that perfectly clear. Can't wait for book 2!
Candace, Damien, Lincoln, Ethan, and Aaron --- wow!
The growth in these characters and their relationships is just wonderful. There are some tragic things, but the way they handle them and come together is great. Candace is one heck of a strong woman after everything she is put through as a teen - and I'm loving it! The way she handles these guys - so good!
The boys under estimate Candace by far believing that she’s just little quite thing they were punishing for a few years….boy did she change they’re minds being fierce feisty exactly what all the boys needed their QUEEN!!! Definitely worth the read!!!!
Once i started I couldn’t stop reading Candace's story. Her men Damien, Ethan, Aaron and Lincoln are dark, domineering hotties who love their queen. A great read.
DNF. The typos and punctuation ruined this book. The writing was rushed and didn't really make sense except that it was there to push the story forward.
DNF about half way through. Was totally absurd, got bullied by these 4 guys and all of a sudden she loves them all? I can read a lot of rubbish but I’m sorry this was the limit
🌶🌶🌶🌶4/5 I really liked this book in spite of the MFC. She did a complete 180 in SUCH a short amount of time it kind of put me off. I wish there was a little bit more of a gradual slide into the bad side. I am going to continue the series.

Her kings by whitnay edes Triggers Multiple POV RH Harsh language, fighting, killing, kidnapping, BDSM, Bullying, and many more. This series has so many twists and turns you can get wipe lash. They are very very dark parts so read all the warnings this isn't for the faint hearted. Author stresses mental health is important to her. One slip can send you over the edge.... Candace is a senior in high school and boy can't she wait. Her best friend Damien changes after her dad dies and becomes her tormentor as well as the rest of the Kings (Lincoln, Ethan and Aaron) Candice is thrown into a world she never knew they were part of. The killing or how blood thirsty they are for revenge. One would not have thought the quite Candice had such a mouth on her and her thirst for her own revenge. Can't give more away. Waiting to read book 2 think it only gets darker as we get into the series.
Wow! That was quite the ride! This bully romance will take you by surprise! The heroes have their reasons for being how they are, but I can’t say why because that would be a spoiler. But I very much enjoyed this story! It’s wild! (lol)
