From time to time as a Christian, I would sit in services or attend conferences where a dear elder would preach to us concerning the sin of prayerlessness. Each time I would resolve in myself that this was the answer. There were no magical methods or new fangled tools for evangelism that the church needed, and none that I personally lacked to lead my family as the head of our home. It became obvious to me that there were no shortcuts to a truly consecrated life and walk with God. There was no getting around it; I would have to learn to pray.
"When Men Pray..." is the story of how consistent daily prayer changed one man's life and in turn impacted many lives around him.
Tremendous journey through the impact of prayer in a life. Read this book. Implement the principles of this book. Expect your life to be transformed as a result.
This is one of the best books on prayer that I have ever read. Not only does this book have a lot of practical advice in it; it is a book about someone who understands how to build a prayer life from scratch, what it means not to pray and what kind of things happen when you do pray. I plan to reread it again soon!
