In college we were sworn enemies… In my fantasies we were a hell of a lot more… And now? Well, now he’s my freakin’ boss!
Nope. Uh uh. No. This can’t be happening. Griffin Keith is absolutely not sitting behind my boss’s desk. He’s certainly not looking at me like he’s just won a decade-old rivalry. And I definitely don’t find him just as unbelievably sexy as I did back in our college days.
…I guess today must be Opposite Day.
So this is what I get for company loyalty, huh? Working my butt off for eight years, I've made it all the way to vice president. But now the business is going under and look who’s stepped in to pick up the pieces. Yeah, that’s right. The cockiest billionaire in Manhattan real estate. The one guy in this city who can get under my skin with a single smirk. The tyrannical, egotistical hunk I spent all of college in hateful lust with. Just. My. Luck.
I know Griffin’s only keeping me around to get his kicks in. Once he’s bored playing with me, I’ll be fired faster than you can say "Hate you very much". What’s my plan? Well, I don’t have one… yet. But you’d better believe that I’m not taking this — or anything! — lying down. College may be far in the past, but Griffin is obviously ready to pick up right where we left off. And I say bring it! Bring everything you got! Just, um, don’t bring up our little mistake during Welcome Week. That can stay in the dorm room closet where we left it.
Like smart, feisty heroines and hunky, alpha heroes clashing (then kissing) in an office setting? Then look no further! Every book in Hunky Bossy Billionaires can be read as a standalone. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and, of course, HEA all day, every day!
Trixie Belle is a lifelong lover of books, writing, romance, and hunks. She’s super stoked to finally be bringing her very own sexy guys to the page. When she’s not working on her next book, Trixie can be found reading in every genre she can get her hands on, jamming out to music in her car, and pondering life’s biggest questions — like is cereal technically soup? (Seriously. She’s wondering.)
Lily and Griffin are facing off again. They were enemies in college. Now that Lily has worked her way up to VP but the business is failing, her new boss steps in. Of all the possible bosses out there, Griffin is the one sitting in front of her. Can they work together now to get the company sorted out and make decisions on which employees will have to be let go? And will they get a new understanding of each other as they learn more about each other in trying to save the business? Will they even go so far as to find a HEA waiting for them?
Lily, 30, is the VP at a real estate management company that is being bought out by her college nemesis, Griffin. When they started college she pulled him into a closet and kissed him but after that they were fierce competitors to be the best in all of their classes. After graduation Griffin had started his own company that was now very successful and he wants Lily to help him sort out the employees at the new acquisition to see who he needs to lay off but she is hesitant because of her friendships with coworkers. Both Lily and Griffin are smart and driven to succeed enjoy sarcastic bantering and become attracted working together. Lily has been accused of sleeping her way to success in business before and doesn’t want that to happen with Griffin. Will they be able to work together and begin a relationship?
I loved this story where college enemies are forced to work together and realize that they have a lot in common. I especially loved the sarcasm during many of their conversations and enjoyed their humorous conversations. Lily has to overcome accusations of using sex to get her promotions in the past and wanted to make sure that rumors about her and Griffin didn’t start. This was a great book and the epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

This was a fun quick read! It’s extremely well written and well paced. The sexual tension mixed with believable emotional connection was great. This book seriously deals with how impostor syndrome is a big hinderance with women in any kind of competitive workforce, especially male dominated workforce. I don’t think it was groundbreaking by any means and definitely could and should have been much spicier but it was entertaining and realistic and a perfect example of why I love romance novels where the main issues to a relationship aren’t from within but from external pressures. Normally I prefer fantasy romance but I was looking for a fun smutty quick read and was shocked that, although this didn’t have the level of smut I expected, I was definitely hooked. The characters were believable and interesting without being too in depth so you felt like you could imagine anyone in these positions. As someone who struggles with imposter syndrome myself, this book really spoke to me (although I don’t feel like it’s because I’m attractive 😂). Overall I recommend this as a quick read that’s a well written and fun rivals to lovers book.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Hunky Bossy Billionaire series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Lily is the VP for a real estate who was just bought out by her college bully so to speak (in reality it made her work harder). Griffin sexy as all get out college bully now new owner of the real estate company Lily works for and usually he starts of by trimming the fat so to speak will they continue to compete with each other because the chemistry is still there years later and still just as intense can they get pass college and will they follow the path fate has then on which will end in happiness?
I found this book on sale via BargainBooksy There is such a thing as letting someone slide in its own mud, such is the case with Archie, his buddies, and the Sutton Manor project, and I don't blame Griffin for doing so. Well done on that one. I loved the banter and the chemistry between Lily and Griffin. I also laughed a lot. I'm with Griffin when it comes to (not) socializing with people under you - or just not on the same level at work. I also agree that one of her last decisions was the best one for everyone. Epilogue is 10 years later and it's a bit cheesy but also gives you a window into their businesses. I got a little confused at to why Seymour would put spies on Griffin. Editing needs another pass, for ex.: "I leave my car running" vs. "turn the engine back to its deadly rumble". "Seymour is standing against the window" vs. "Seymour flushes and sits up straighter in his chair". "the tingling in my pants" (wearing a dress). "I work those little jean shorts" (she's absolutely not wearing shorts as she comes directly from work).
Complicated reunion 4.5 An excellent romance of enemies who evolve in a context of a business takeover that stresses the heroine Lily who discovers that her rival for the first places in college, Griffin, takes over the company in which she works. The story is very well written, tender, funny thanks to the dialogue and sometimes hot. Between the conflict to save the company, to save her friends, to have to work with Griffin whom she tolerates because she has a strong character and she does not like to lose, cornered by the olders men of the company which under- reckons her, Lily has plenty to do. I really liked the character of Griffin who spends his time teasing and annoying Lily, while remaining fair when the situation calls for it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Griffin and Lily were competitors during college as they were in the same field of study. Years later, she is now VP in the company and it has just been bought out by another company, whose CEO is Griffin. Surprise... the sarcasm and banter between them is just like in college and the feelings and emotions are strong. They desperately want each other but her self esteem in the higher echelon of mostly men has issues. Griffin helps he gain some confidence, but in the end, she does it all herself. The characters are fantastic. The storyline was entertaining - I especially loved the water cooler scene before the jerk was fired. Lots of laughs and crazy banter, but also soul searching romance and deep feelings. Sometimes competition does rule, in the best ways possible. Well done.

This a cute and laugh out loud story about 2 stubborn college kids who push themselves to be the best. Lily decides Griffin is to arrogant for his hotness. Flash forward 8 years later. Who walks in as her new boss? Mr. Cocky Hotness himself. Will their firey passion for being the best land them in each others arms, or will office politics get in the way?

Hero owns a real estate development company and buys the company heroine works at. They went to college together and have some attraction for each other.
Heroine is VP at the company she works at.
Not much witty banter, which I felt was a missed opportunity. Very narrative heavy. So I felt the characters explained everything versus showing me.
I am such a fool for always looking at the cover of the books hahaha anyway, i think i didnt read this soon enough because I was just expecting a simple story between enemies to lovers. Like the cliché ones. There was a bit of twist in the end so that got me hooked more. I like how this story depicts Lily as a strong career woman who's capable on her own. And there's Griffin, the perfect guy who's so supportive of her. huhuhu
The slow burn did kill me a bit but it was gooood!
i liked the background story and feel like this woulda done better if it wasnt just a short and easy quick read. like if this had flashbacks of their past incorperated i woulda been all over that. anyways my reasoning for the low rating comes in the form of a quote from the mmc's description of his penis. "“weeping at the head in anticipation” that is all.
This is a good book. Ms. Belle did great at telling Griffin & Lilly's, enemies-to-lovers, story. The banter was fun and the characters were a good match for each other. Their chemistry was palpable. Well done!
3,5. fofo, mas nada demais. as questões da protagonista eram bastante válidas, mas achei o desenvolvimento do casal precário. e que diabo de capa é essa meu deus 😭😭😭
Griffin & Lily had an entertaining read. Good characters. Plus, this was a new author for me. I got a copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
This was my first book by this author and it was good! I loved the chemistry between Lily and Griffin! Second chance romances are one of my favorite tropes!
Chose a book that would not pull me into the reading rabbit hole and this was actually not that bad. Fast paced but here it felt natural enough. Not the worst read definitely. Always like a determined H. Also thumbs up for bringing up the topic of sexism and misogyny at the workplace.
What a fun second chance romance! Griffin & Lily's story who met in college & unexpectedly had their worlds collide years later isn't much different from other second chance romances but somehow with Trixie Belle's writing style this one has me sighing in wistful contentment. So would I recommend My Cocky Hunk, heck yes I would say as I'm trying to write this without spoilers and smiling as I am thinking about their HEA! Even though I did receive an advanced review copy of this book, I also purchased the book/read with Kindle Unlimited and am voluntarily leaving my own unsolicited opinion with my voluntary review.
I thought this was going to be one of those books that barely had anything going for it except for smut (because honestly, what is with the title, this cover, and the cover for the other version that has the half-naked man?), but it made me realize that I really should quit judging books by their covers.
Loved, loved, loved this book. From rolling my eyes every time Griffin opened his mouth (he was sooo annoying, OMW!) to giggling like a little girl at his interactions with Lily, to Lily's dilemma with dating her boss, this book was perfection. Definitely worth reading.
Lily and Griffin are fun. We have to enjoy a chunk of the book before we learn why Lily has so many insecure thoughts. I love their wit and their banter. I love their growth and realization of what is there in front.of them and what is important. This is very fun to read. I like the style and I like Lily. Griffin had to grow on me because as advertised he is cocky with a capital C.

My only complaint really was that it was so short. Would've loved to spent more time with Lily and Griffin, more banter, actual dates, maybe a bit more of a backstory for both of them. But overall an enjoyable read that pulled you in. And considering that prior to this I picked up and dropped 3 different books (same genre, similar trope) on the same evening that is saying something. :)
Some editorial issues typos, misspellings like wrung instead of rung, steak instead of stake
