A spicy love affair.

It’s forbidden.
It’s taboo.

It’s…meant to be.

He's twenty-six.

She's eighteen.

I swallow, aware that most of what I'm thinking is probably just my overactive imagination. He didn't just look at me like that, over the thick rim of his glasses. His voice didn't mean to sound so stern yet seductive.

"If you're going to insist on playing these games with me, Jain, I'm afraid I may have to give you a detention," his voice is silky soft, and his gaze doesn't lift away from the paper he is marking.

I'm his student.

He's my teacher.

Eighteen-year-old Jain is desperately trying to smash her final year in school so she can give herself as many options as possible. Her mother had her young and always wanted her to aim high, so she does.

Eager to avoid history repeating itself, Jain tries to distance herself from boys, which isn't easy when you're one of the popular crowd. Attention follows you wherever you go.

Then her English teacher is replaced, and panic sets in. English has always been her weak point, and now she had lost her understanding and kind teacher.

So when Mr. Silver walks into her classroom, she joins in with the schoolgirl sighs and daydreams, hoping he is just as nice as he looks.

But Mr. Silver doesn't have time for their nonsense, and immediately takes a dislike to Jain.

In order to choose the best college, Jain needs to excel in the top three subjects.

English is one of them.

W A T?? Seriously?😒✋🏻

The tension is garbage because it builds OFF PAGE. Then, suddenly, he can’t be in a room alone with her because he wants her… SINCE WHEN??

The heroine (student) & hero (teacher) have a few interactions where not much happens besides the heroine acknowledging he’s hot. He then offers her free tutoring and readers get to see the first lesson—nothing noteworthy happens during it.

Then some time goes by and they have more interactions OFF PAGE. Meanwhile, she’s screwing someone else on page! Like I give a fruity fook about her hookups with another dude while she’s getting to interact with/know the hero OFF PAGE.

Fast forward and now she has a crush on the hero, and he obviously wants her…🤔SINCE WHEN?
No worries though… The readers wouldn’t be interested in reading about their tutoring sessions or them in general to witness their building attraction, right? It’s not like that’s important. Pfft.🤧

Then the story gets more and more ridiculous…

Ooooffff, this book had everything that I needed. Taboo romance, emotions, love, angst, hurdles yet still, the strive to win in the end. Jain, a beautiful young woman, falls in love with her English literature teacher, Mr. handsome, dashing Silver. He appears as a rude and a cut-throat teacher at the start, always snapping at her, but finds himself falling heads over heels in love with her. He cannot help but feel the undeniable attraction towards her. Knowing its forbidden and knowing that if found, they have to pay the harshest of the consequences, who has a say in front of love? Absolutely no one.

I loved this book with every pore of my heart because the way they hid it at first, constantly fighting with themselves not to go down the forbidden path but also finding themselves listening to their heart. Then finding themselves in a series of the most unfortunate incidents......the only thing worth appreciating was how Evan especially, never gave up on her. Years passed but that guy still rooted for her, still looked out for her, still found himself deeply in love with her. This, is what you call, love. Passionate, down-to-earth, true love.

Even with all the hurdles that came along that separated the both apart many a times and in the most brutal ways possible, I am glad to see how the story progressed, how the emotions were perfectly displayed, how they fought against all odds for nothing but love. True love.

If you are into hot taboo romance, teacher student romance which also converts into one of the sexiest teacher - teacher romance? Jain is the one for you. And I swear to God, because of linz, I fell in love with the name Evan and Jain even more than I was before. A must must read.

And oh yeah, you might also fall in love with this another mysterious man inside. He. Is. Drop. Dead. Mighty. Gorgeous. A few lines by him and he had me.

A taboo age gap romance that is just the best.

Jain is an only child from a single mother who got pregnant and had to work hard her whole
life to be able to provide for Jain.

Her mother was forced to quit school and raise her. Which she is constantly reminding Jain to
be careful and have no regrets, to finish education.

Jain is a good girl, with good grades. Her friends are divided, love to party and hooking up.

While balancing life she falls in love with her English teacher.

Mr Silver (Evan) is the new English teacher, who everyone adores.

Jain is good in every subject but needs help with English and so Mr Silver helps her.

During the tutoring they kind of flirt with each other.

So eventually they have a secret kind of relationship.

But not everything always works out like how we wish.

Want to know what happened? Be sure to check this book out.

!The ending tho!

* spoiler
I love how we see a possible reaction to the taboo subject. Most books get over it really
fast like okey kind of fine.

But here we see the real world. No the mom isn't fine at first.
Jail time
Other partners...

Amazing book Linzvonc, I need a book about Sebastian.

Okay so here we have a taboo romance. It’s a student teacher romance and it’s more realistic than most.

So here’s the deal. When we read a taboo romance, there’s acceptance generally right? Maybe a few friends are lost but those important people (parents, siblings etc) they stick around. Not here. Here we have parents having issues with the relationship, secrets being kept, hurt feelings….it just fees more “real” than a typical taboo romance situation. I really liked that aspect.

I definitely enjoyed part 2 more than part one. Part one was great, don’t get me wrong but part two just had more drama I thought and I really enjoyed it! Then that epilogue hit and OH MY GOODNESS YAAAASSSSSS.

Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend.

Loved Jain & Evan!!!
I really like this book. I honestly didn’t think I would, especially with the OWD and the time jump. But surprisingly, even though it was annoying I still really liked this book. I was so relieved to find out the FMC was not a virgin and had some good sexual experience. If you want more info on anything, ask me.

Student x Teacher
Age gap (18 & 24, 23 & 30)
Time jump (4 years)
Separation (Both MCs with OP)
Second Chance
Obsessed MMC
Lots of OMD
OWD
Intimate Scenes With OP (FMC)
Cheating (Not between MCs)

A breathtaking "forbidden" romance. You can't help who you fall in love with. Mr. Silver is like no teacher I ever had. Jain and Evan are enchanting. Their story is beautiful, insanely hot, heartbreaking and full of hope.

I feel so lucky to have been part of the Arc Team for this release. 😍

A brand new taboo age gap romance which you will absolutely adore. For those who follow me you'll know that the deeper you dive into the world of taboo the more I love it!! and this read had me absolutely head over heels, not because of a dark nature but the taboo relationship between Mr Silver and Miss Martin is fire!! 😍🔥

Mr Silvers character actually really surprised me, the unfair academic actually turned out to be the biggest softy and had me rooting for him the whole way! There is just so much love in this book it'll have you smiling at the pages, but you can't escape a little heart break, the what ifs and the suspense that follows the decisions that have to be made.

Its not very often that I feel so friggen invested in a couple 😂 but this book is written so we are with them every step of the way spanning over years of thier lives and you can't help but just laugh, smile and shout at the pages! 🙈

I really enjoyed the side stories within this book. *screaming for Katie and harley* 😍 - I do wish we saw more of Arden because holyhell we do love a bad boy!! 😏😂

Jain is available December 2021 and one you definitely need to add to your TBR ❤️

Linzvonc, why do you always cause me to lose sleep at night?!? It was “Jain,” a teacher/student forbidden romance this time, and I just couldn’t put it down. Yes, you have 18-year-old Jain and her 28-year-old teacher, Evan. They fall in love. Simple, right? No, not so simple. The intensity and drama that is filled in their relationship are unbelievable. There’s so much! When you think, aww, that’s so sweet—bam, sadness. Then, you’re like, what just happened!?! And you’re only at the halfway point. Yes, there is a lot of drama—OW/OM what may or may not be construed as cheating. Evan falls hard for Jain and will give up everything just for her. I loved that “Jain” wasn’t a quick teacher/student story and extended over time drama, drama-filled and all.

I thought I’d hate it with the teacher student relationship and cheating but dang did it draw me in. The ending definitely made me need to find out what happened next.

Jain was an enjoyable read overall, though it wasn’t without its flaws. One of the more noticeable issues was the presence of grammatical errors throughout the book. While they were a bit distracting at times, they didn’t take away too much from the overall experience and were manageable in the context of the story’s emotional depth.

Jain, as a protagonist, was occasionally frustrating—especially when it came to her handling of emotions. Her internal conflict and indecision sometimes slowed the pacing or made her difficult to connect with. However, her dynamic with Evan was the highlight of the book for me. Their chemistry felt natural and strong, and the connection between them really shone. Evan, in particular, was a standout. Though he initially came across as sharp or guarded, he quickly grew into a character full of charm, warmth, and surprising vulnerability. His sexy, slightly rough-edged charisma made his interactions with Jain feel charged and compelling.

I especially appreciated the plot progression in Part One. The romance was believable and carried enough emotional weight to keep me invested. That said, I found myself wishing for more focus on the development of Jain and Evan’s relationship, especially as the story progressed. Part Two, in contrast, felt a bit disjointed and unnecessary. The subplot involving Evan going to prison, while dramatic, ultimately detracted from the romance and shifted the focus away from the emotional connection that made the first half so engaging.

Verdict:
A character-driven romance with solid chemistry and an intriguing love interest, marred slightly by uneven pacing, grammar issues, and an underwhelming second half. Still, a worthwhile read for those who enjoy emotionally layered relationships and don’t mind a few bumps along the way.

An ARC was provided for an honest review*

4 STARS

This forbidden taboo of a teacher and student was written so beautifully that it had me grasping onto my kindle!

Jain was the only child from a single mother who constantly reminded her not to mingle in random affairs and focus on her studies to become a better version of herself. After Jain’s mother had her at a young age, she was forced to quit school and raise her up. Therefore constantly reminding Jain that she need to finish her education so she does not have regrets in life etc.

Jain is a good student with good grades but her friend group are not as driven as her. They love parties and lots of hooking up. Trying to balance all that, Jain fell head over heels for her English teacher.

Evan Silver, the new English teacher who everyone finds really attractive. He is very straightforward and happens to be Jain’s English teacher. During their private tutoring lessons, we constantly see them flirting with each other.

As much as I loved this book, I wished it stretched with its slow burn and we got to see more of her the main characters fell in love with each other. It did not build up the love story gradually for me, but nonetheless, it was still so good!

Tropes: Forbidden romance, teacher/student romance, age-gap romance

Jain is a standalone forbidden romance. This book was a quick read, for me. It was divided into two parts. The first part of the book was mostly in Jain's POV. It showed the progression of Jain & Evan's affair. There was a time jump in part 1 and the 'ending' of part one mad me angry! Part two of the book was a little more fast pace and dealt with the fall out from part one to how they had their HEA.

There were moments in the book that I just wanted to yell at Jain but am glad she chose Evan. I felt like Evan was more invested in the relationship than Jain but I also had to remind myself that Jain is so much younger than him. There are some side characters that I didn't like. I was surprises about Harley & Katie but it made sense. Overall it was a good, quick read.

I ADORE everything Linzvonc writes!! If you love forbidden, student/teacher romance, read this book!!!

Jain is a taboo, age gap romance that follows Jain and Evan. From the very 1st page, I was rooting for these 2, and wanted them to get their happily ever after.

Mr. Silvers is such a teddy bear and I just love him so much! You can feel the love radiating from this couple and you just know they are meant to be together. There are some bumps, and it's not always easy, but their love wins in the end. I can't wait to read more from Linzvonc!!

You might think this is like all the other taboo, age gap books out, but its really not!! Take a chance, read this book, and I know you will love it!!!

Not your typical teacher/student romance!!

Another fantastic taboo romance from Linzvonc!
When you read teacher/student romances you expect steamy scenes and dramatic ‘What ifs??’ and ‘Will they??’
However Linzvonc manages to provide these without falling into the cliche traps that often befall this story genre.
I fell in love with the main characters and was heartbroken and revived by the twists and turns of the plot line. There’s plenty of kinky, steamy scenes to satisfy the erotica genre lovers but an amazing storyline that makes it romantic and storylike.
I highly recommend this and if you have chance read the short story sequel Sebastian on her patreon.

Above average

Not total fluff. It was nice to read student/teacher romance where the student wasn’t a portrayed as a holier than thou virginal character. The majority of the book was written from Jain’s POV. The rare occasions with other voices were like gold dust. The epilogue itself is award worthy in my opinion.

I really really enjoyed this read.
My heart hurt for Jain trying to make everyone around her happy instead of choosing for herself.
I loved how intertwined the characters were and how they made reappearances later on in the book.

But so so glad Jain and Evan got there happily ever after eventually.

And the epilogue… freaking loved it!

Jain

It was really good for the first 75%. The emotions and actions flipped so fast though. Tough to really connect, but good. The last part was like a 3rd person telling me the actions? The ending was nothing I could have guessed or understand...
