A simple overview advocating for interpreting the Bible first by understanding the whole message of a book and then moving to analysis. Easy to adopt his methods yet hard to do the work of really studying.
This simple book is not flashy or ground-breaking, but it is important. Shirock's method opens the door to deeper and more lasting study of God's word. As he says himself repeatedly throughout the book, there is not much new here for someone who has studied hermeneutics and biblical interpretation. However, for beginners and seasoned Bible readers alike it provides a good overview of the principles of biblical interpretation as well as a framework for studying each book of the Bible in greater depth.
