As far as second books go, this was epic!
I knew that most of the plot was going to be about proving Raphyl's innocence, but there were some parts that I did not see coming, particularly Raghael and Mirrie coming out of cryo. The addition of these characters was surprising but welcome because I felt that Tom, Nathan, and Kayleesh would benefit from an adult presence.
Book 3 is going to be a firecracker! Those Radiakkans better not invade Earth!

Gripping read. Budding friendships, romance and the first for adventure follows Tom while living in another galaxy far from home. Tom finds out that working on the TSS in Truxxe, invokes a new thirst for his friendship.
Seeing what lead to Raphyl’s arrest and learning of his family dilemma, his friends work out plans to save him from the prison planet and go exploring further afield, finding themselves getting into tricky situations.
Tom, Kayleesh, Nathan and co embark on an adventure to find out what’s happened to their arrested friend Raphyl and try to find a way to free him from
porridium. While the gang are transversing their chapters Schlomm sets out to the prison planet to save his brother Hammond, who was arrested for burning a flag.
Tom lands himself in prison on Porridium and through help from his friends and family plots a way of doing the impossible.
That’s one hell of a cliffhanger ending!

This series is compared to Douglas Adams on the cover. While this novel is an interesting story it doesn't live up to the humour of Adams work. Nevertheless it is an enjoyable read as we follow the adventures of Tom Bowler on an intergalactic service station.
