Courtney Cairns is leaving behind a world of grief.

While she numbs her sorrows with punches to the face at an underground fight club, she can’t shake the feeling she’s being followed. So when a suspicious break-in leaves her rattled, she packs her bags for a reluctant return to Canada and an inevitable dance with lingering raw emotions.

Battling the gnawing realization she’s only putting off her fate, Courtney hitchhikes, has her money stolen, and falls for a sexy tattoo artist. But staying on the run is no way to reach peace, and she longs to end the aching in her heart.

Can this nomadic warrior smash her pain before it swallows her spirit?

I absolutely loved this book and seeing Courtney develop as a character. She went from being my least favourite character to one I admire immensely for her strength and ability to survive in some downright terrible situations. Can’t wait to read further in this series!

My Thoughts:

This is the fourth book in this series and I accidentally posted my review on book five before this one.
But I have read every book in this series and so far the Author @angeljendrickauthor has kept me intrigued by these characters lives. This one is a lot about Courtney who has been a great character through out this series
I have been following these characters lives through love, romance ,growing up, loss, children and heartache. Now I am waiting for the last book.

After finishing book 3 (Love me) I simply couldn’t wait to get started on this one! The author cleverly ended the third book with something I would class as extremely risky, I had my own ideas about what might happen next and I wanted to see how right or wrong I was!

This book is as raw and emotional as the first 3, the author has a way with words. She is able to conjure such strong emotions in her readers and this draws you to the characters and pulls you into their twisted unconventional lives. I was already emotionally invested in the story after reading the first 3 books but this one pulled me in even further.

This is a series that could go on and on, as far as I am aware there is only one more book to come after this one and I cannot begin to imagine what the author has planned for book 5! Will my heart be able to take it?

Cage me, takes the story in a different direction, one that I was not expecting, which is typical of this author, when you think things are going to go one way the author flips the tables and literally throws them across the room. You have no idea what could happen next!

It’s very difficult doing a spoiler free review because there is so much that I would love to say but it would be all too easy to give something away! What I will say is that I highly recommend this book and the entire series! This is something special!

There is danger, love, hope, darkness, pain, a burning desire and need to find oneself! What more could you ask for in a novel?

I received an advance review copy for free from the author, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the fourth book in this series and Courtney is numbing her pain in an underground fight club, but after having the feeling that she is being watched, she decided it is time to go on the run and reluctantly return to Canada. Hitchhiking across country comes with its own set off problems. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, emotionally charged, and with turmoil, twists, danger, and suspense, which leads to an all-consuming addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author who brings into her work to expect the unexpected, and I highly recommend her work.

After reading book 3, I didn't know what to expect from this book! Book 3 was emotional and realistic in so many ways. I was worried about this book because typically after three books in a series, I get bored with the characters or I don't think the author has any surprises left. That was not the case at all with Cage Me! This book continued to make me feel like I was on an emotional rollercoaster and I was shocked with how the book went. I cannot wait for book 5 because Jendrick continues to prove that there are always surprises in store with these books!!!

Cage Me is an emotionally raw story of survival and grief that is full of turmoil and struggle. Courtney is such a complex character and she is floundering after a tragic loss. This was a very well written, intense story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last word. I highly recommend this book/series!

My Favorite so far!!

The fourth in the Claiming Kristopher series and it was my favorite. After the total heart wrenching end to the last book, Courtney has to figure some things out. The book follows her on her journey to healing while she totally leaves “Courtney” behind.

Courtney has always been a bit of a firecracker, and that’s no different in this book. The story was a rollercoaster of fight, flight, love and spice! I really enjoyed Lex’s character and I hope to see more of her.

The ending really gets you excited for the next book!
