I very rarely read any romance stories with themes that are outside the realm of possibility in my headspace; like almost never. I made an excepting with Angel Payne’s Misadventures with a Time Traveler a few years back and it turned out to be a fabulous reading experience for me so when I found out that Ragean was getting a story, I made another exception, and it was fantastic!

Angel Payne is so gifted in how she weaves her tales. I mean she’s made me kind of a believer LOL This story was perfectly executed and at no point did I roll my eyes, so that’s huge! Such a beautiful and magical romance! I can’t even form words. It took me a bit longer to read this but only because I went back to the previous book to refresh my memory and I think that little binge-read may have heightened my delight! So that’s your warning future readers. You should start with Alli’s story. You don’t absolutely have to, but there are spoilers of her story in this one and also, in order to understand the awesomeness of Allie, Raegan & Drue’s #girlpower, you really should!

Oh my....how I love a great Misadventures read and Angel brought yet another great time traveling Misadventures home.
"If light is in your heart, you will find your way home."

In Duke, Angel brought Max's(from Misadventures with A time traveler) brother, Bastien De Leon story to light. Like his brother he comes into the future through a wardrobe. In a new place, time how is it possible that his beloved Magnique is here?

Regan looks like Magnique and wants what Allie and Max have in a relationship. When Bastien comes has she finally got her heart's desire or is she still dreaming?
This story is full of anticipation, action, and steamy moments. Everything that Angel brings to the pages makes you crave and want more....and ladies isn't that what we all want in a book. I for one can't wait for more Misadventures to come.

I was delighted and eager to read about Max's brother Bastien De Leon. Bastien experiences a narrow escape through the time travel wardrobe before his inevitable demise. When he finds himself thrown 200 years into the future, he can't believe his eyes. His beloved Magnique, is here in all her glorious beauty. How can that be?

Reagan has always been envious of Allie and Maximillian's relationship, but it looks like perhaps her dreams and wishes may come true. Their story is full of steam, action and anticipation. All the elements that make this a remarkable Time Travel story.

Bastien is a stunning 18th century hunk anf soldier, who's life gets unexpectedly turned upside down. When his romantic night of celebration with the love of his life is interrupted by one of his best friends and war companions betrayed him in the worst way.
As if turning against him wasn't enough killing the love if his life accidentally was like taking his life as well. Bastien is overcome with grief and can't believe what's just happened when two of his family's servants and his dear friends and caretakers find him and lead him to safety away from the mob that are rallied against him and starting a revolution.

She's truly gifted and Misadventures with a Duke has been an amazing journey through time and has captivated my heart.

This time travel romance will have you sitting on the edge or your seat. Bastian is a soldier whom is finally with his lady and she is killed brutally infront of him. A friend takes him away during the chaos and send him to New York several hundred years in the future where he meet a woman who looks exactly like his dead love. Bast who can't accept what's going on run and gets himself into trouble. Ray and her friend save him from jail and run. There coo was soon found out and there dodging the police and trying to figure out how Ray is now getting Basts long lost lovers memories. They finally get answers they seek and return to the 1700s together and build a wonderful life. This book is filled with steamy sexy times, Witty humour, action, and suspense. I literally could not put it down and finished it in a few hours after receiving my ARC copy. I highly recommend this book as a must read. Angel is an amazing author who will make you want to read more.

Past and present collide in this wonderful adventure that surrounds Bastien and Raegan. Angel Payne once again takes the reader on literally a wild ride and the ending is something that was not only filled with the true meaning of love but also one I never saw coming. Each and every chapter traps the reader in and once they get finished with the book they can sigh in happiness. I want my own Bastien!!

Wow wow oh wow! What an amazing read!!! I loved misadventures with a time traveler which is where we first meet Bastien but this one is just as good!!! I highly recommend this book! I love how protective Bastien is but I love that he is also loving and caring. I love that this is a historical romance and of course its by the talented angel Payne! I never hesitate to pick up her books because they never let me down and this book didn't either. Its witty, sweet, funny, makes you want to cry at times but wonderful. I highly recommend this book! I dont think you can go wrong :)

I love to read time travel stories and this one was great.
Bastien is thrust 200 years into a future he doesn't understand but the beauty he sees is his true love or so he thinks. Stepping out of the wardrobe in his brother's room is something he doesn't understand yet Raegan is someone that can help him. She is from his past and he might help her future by helping him get back to the past.
I loved the connection between Raegan and Bastien, their love has lasted over time and centuries. Now I need to go back and read Misadventures with a Time Traveler to read Allie and Max's story.

Angel Payne my dear lord you have done it again! Another 1700's smooth talking soldier hottie, another exciting and sexy adventure, another love that stands the test of time... Misadventures with a Duke checked all my boxes with Angel's quick wit and humor she embeds into her characters, her flare for the dramatics, her detail to the world she creates, and the love she weaves into her characters souls that not even two hundred years can dim.

"This man—Maximillian De Leon’s brother—has somehow accomplished the same feat as his older sibling, despite the accounts of all the history books."


I absolutely LOVED Bastien and Reagan. Bastien De Leon is just as big a heartthrob as his brother Maximilian from Misadventures with a Time Traveler. He alluring and kind and strong willed and his proper words mixed in with his sexy demands had me feeling light headed. He's been thrust into a century he knows nothing about right after a tragic and heartbreaking loss in his life. The wardrobe that time-ported Max to the future has now done the same to Bastien and what he finds in the 21st century he can't begin to comprehend, or deny. I loved his intense draw to Reagan and they way he looked at the world around him. His pride, honor, and grace made absolutely mouthwatering and the perfect counterpoint to his true love, his green eyed lady.

"My heart forgets a beat. Another. I know her. I know her. Despite all the here and now, there is so much of the then and before."

Reagan is straight up awesome. I loved her mind and I loved her and strength and I loved her girl power gang in Drue and Allie just as much as I did in Time Traveler. While apartment sitting for the love birds, Allie and Max, Reagan decides she is done being in relationships where she is not truly seen, appreciated, and loved. This book stars off with her realizing she is back and she is worth it all and I loved that about her. She has no idea her life is about to change but then all of a sudden the magical wardrobe spits out another De Leon and this time this one is for her, even if she tries to deny it.

"I never want to look away from this dazzling man. From every damn thing he’s doing to fray me from the inside out."

Bastien and Reagan have some seerrriiiooouuusss chemistry and I could not get enough of them. They both don't know how to explain their connection but lord do they try. Their love is the kind that makes me go "mmmhmmm yes, yes indeed Le Duke, more more more" and Angel delivered. The things Reagan experiences, almost as if she has lived one life before this one with the man she hardly knows, when she is with Bastien are impossible to describe but was almost my favorite thing about this book. That and the attention to the setting and detail which is so important to any story I read.

"We’re nuclear, replacing all our reactor cooling rods with the fierce stabs of our tongues into each other’s mouths. It already feels like they’re glowing, so hot and beyond combustible. My defenses are liquified, my logic blasted into ash."

More than just their intense love I adored the story line and all the characters immensely. I could give Dru a big girlfriend hug with how awesome she was and I hope she gets her own story with her Gorgeous Agent friend in the future. I loved seeing Max again, he's still just as amazing, and I still am big heart eyes over Allie. Angel brought her A-Game and truly took this story, this intense "reuniting" to it's ultimate fated conclusion. I loved the ending and loved all the feels this story gave me. Leave it to Angel to spoil me with not one amazing time traveler but two I get to swoon and drool over forever.

It had me feeling all the feels too. I love these Misadventure books but this one will go up there as one of my favorites of this entire series.

What an absolute treat this book, Misadventures with a Duke, is. Very excited to meet Maximillian De Leons brother Bastien after reading Misadventures with a Time Traveler, also by Angel Payne. The writing is fabulous, a great flow with trademark Angel Payne dialog and banter. Bastien is a magnificent man who travels 200 years ahead to escape his certain demise. Raegan is having a moment of self doubt and heartache when Bastien arrives. Together they forge a passionate steamy love with incredible adventures in New York city with Max and Allie and friend Drue. There is mystery, twists and turns, plus so much love. I love how these two came together and how they find their Happily Ever After. Raegan is a creative, independent, loving beautiful woman. Bastien is protective, so very loving, and every bit an alpha male who is remarkably handsome. A wonderful, enchanting, incredible time traveling tale. Quite the delightful read for me!!!! Very grateful to Angel Payne and her fantabulous imagination and writing magic.

Reagan has always envied her friends Allie and Max's relationship. Her luck is about to change when she meets Bastien de Leon who is Max's brother. Bastien ends up time traveling through the wardrobe just as he's about to meet his end. He finds himself 200 years into the future meeting Reagan, a woman that looks like his beloved Magnique that he lost long ago. Reagan knew about Max arriving the same way with Allie. Nothing could have prepared her for Bastien. This is a good read and time travel romance.

I have read other Angel Payne books before and like the rest this one does not disappoint. It keeps you wrapped up in the emotions and experiences as if they were your own! I couldn't put it down. Angel Payne is hands down one of my favorite authors. When she wrote a misadventure starring a time traveler I was absolutely in my glory, especially as a Doctor Who fan. When I read the blurb for this book I was so so so excited! Time traveling again?! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

This book was absolutely amazing! The characters are amazing. I loved Raegan and Bastien! The time traveling, the world building, the chemistry, all absolutely amazing!

This is hands down a one click book and a book I will read again! Beautiful job!!

Love! Love! Love!! If you haven't read Misadventures with a Time Traveler, read that first! Time traveling 200 years in the future a hot Duke surprises Raegan with a blazing emtrance while she is sitting in her friends apartment. Wait until you find out what Bastien and Raegan realize why Basien time travels. The ending is something I absolutely did not expect at all and fell in love with!!

Reagan has been through a rough breakup and is licking her wounds when a handsome Duke from the past shows up in her apartment in the sexiest way possible.

As he tries to convince her she is his love, she begins to remember things from the past.

I loved this book. The witty banter and dialogue will have you cracking up and the sexy scenes will leave you 🔥🔥🔥.

This book was another great story about the De Leons. In the beginning I was worried I wouldn't like it but oh man did it hold up to the greatness of this writer! Angel Payne is a miracle worker with words. I loved Reagan and Bastien's story so much.
From the very beginning you could see how connected there were and how they were meant to find each other. I wish that the end was a little different in the fact that they could have stayed but I love finding out how their life was just as good. I want more of the De Leon stories and I believe these book would have been a great series. Well done!

Centuries pass, Bastien is transported through time, through a magical wardrobe, confiscated by Carl and Kavia, friends of Bastien, to present day New York.

Maginque is still alive, but different in so many ways. She is now Raegan Tavish. My Rayonnement.

After successfully conquering present day New York, it is best to go back to 1789. Bastien and Raegan go to Germany to live and love out their days.

Angel done a fantastic job with this issue of Misadventures with a Duke. It is the second part to Misadventures with a Time Traveler. It was so much fun to return and read more about the De Leon family.

I have never been one for historical or time-traveling romance, but being that this was a Misadventures book, I had to pick it up to read, as I have enjoyed all the books in the series, and once again, I was not disappointed!

It helps if you read Misadventures with a Time Traveler before you read this book, as the characters are interrelated.

The writing was amazing, the characters enjoyable to read, and the plot definitely keeps you entertained and engaged.

I couldn't put my kindle down for this story!

Oh my goodness! Such an adventure full of love, heartache and action into one!

❤❤although the book is a standalone, misadventure of a time traveler, is the story of Maximilian, Duke Bastien de Leon's brother❤❤

After seeing the love of his life being taken from him, by a revengeful brother. Bastien wants nothing more then to seek revenge.
However his two dear friends and family servants, get him out, and have bigger things planned for the duke. A passage of 200 centuries to safety in an most unconventional way,  using a family heirloom, an armoire.
The feelings are exciting,  like taking a kid to a candy store for the first time.  Which way will they go,  what will catch their attention first,  and what will be their downfall. Coming from the 1700s to the 20th century, is a dip in culture on the fast track.
Bastien soon comes to terms with Reagan and all her gorgeousness, a beauty he is too familiar with in a past time. But maybe her future,  is the key to his past. Is book is amazing with so many adventures and turns.  An absolute must read!!

Imagine being teleported from the late 1700s to the 2000s?
Now imagine it happening just after the biggest betrayal and loss of your life?
Now imagine the absolutely hilarious misadventures that are sure to befall you as you try to not only return to your own time period but all try to convince the woman who owns your heart - that she is your one?
Thank goodness she may have a little background in malfunctioning wardrobes that have nothing to do with lions and tigers and...

I believe there is a series that connects with this but don't worry it easily stands alone - though now I am left really curious about her BFF's

I loved this book. This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. Her books are well written and her use of details make her books entertaining to read. This book is no different. This is one of my favorites in this series yet. I was pulled into the story by the characters from the beginning. They are relateable and truly made the story for me. I loved their chemistry as well as their growth throughout. This is a story that is written with a lot of heart and steam. Raegan and Bastien are strong characters who brought the story to life. Their story is one that will change lives and maybe even change fate. This is a great romance story that is fast paced and I had a hard time putting it down. It is an engaging story that I highly recommend.

Oh how I have missed Misadventure stories and Duke was a fantastic story after the little gap of releases. Angel Payne is an incredible story teller as she puts together a mix of wonderful characters, comical and sexual encounters. You will definitely want to read misadventures with a Time Traveler before reading Duke though. Love how the 2 stories tie in and absolutely love how Reagan and Bastien’s worlds collide. They were clearly meant to find each other as their chemistry was apparent from the beginning.

Raegan Tavish has always thought of herself to be lucky and resourceful. But after back-to-back slumps involving a stupid ex-boyfriend and some creative slumps (girl, I TOTALLY get you on that front), she thinks that apartment sitting for her bestie and her new boyfriend would be a good idea. That is until Bastien de Leon stumbles through the time-traveling wardrobe and completely shakes Raegan to her core...

Bastien has just lost the love of his life and was so rudely pushed into a wardrobe, which has now somehow propelled him into the twenty-first century. But his heart becomes completely reborn and restarted when he sees his beloved Magique before his very eyes...but it cannot be her; she died...didn't she?

These two collide in such a passionate way that neither one of them can comprehend what is happening. But maybe they aren't supposed to understand it- maybe they're just supposed to love each other until they have to say goodbye or do whatever the magical wardrobe commands of them. The question remains- will either one of them be willing to walk away from the other?
