I just finished reading “The Pure Equity plus Plan” and I dare to say that it is more interesting than I supposed an investment book will be.
I decided to pick a handful of books on the topic, and this one is the first one that fulfilled my expectations. It is a quick, easy to read, simple to follow and motivating piece which made it difficult to put it down.
Peter J. Tanous was the first author I'd read on the topic that cut through all the fluff and got straight to the point. I really appreciate his writing style since its practical and detailed advice helped me a lot.
To be honest I also enjoyed the most difficult part - how he explains the complicated concepts; and he made them understandable.

Because it’s never too early…

Peter Tanous’ The Pure Equity Plus Plan is for those of us who haven’t ever put a thought into retirement, or when we have, haven’t been able to imagine a retirement in which we wouldn’t have to work anyway to make ends meet. If you’re like me, I just realized that I’m an adult and therefore should be making a plan for the future, and self-help books are my go-to for commutes and waiting rooms.
And for those of you who may think, “I’m definitely too young to have to worry about that, or read this book”—Tanous wrote this book specially for younger people, because while his plan is clear and followable, it is also long-term. This isn’t a plan meant for 60-year-olds who want to magically become 65-year-old multi-millionaires.
Don’t worry though! Tanous has a great way of speaking, and is motivational—especially when he gives the advice of investing and then not paying attention to it. I liked that it takes some thinking, but Tanous’ plan isn’t another part-time job on top of my day-to-day work for the next 40 years.

I am really glad that I found ‘The Pure Equity Plus Plan: Your Path To A Multi-Million Dollar Retirement’ by investment professional and author Peter J. Tanous. While I’m still relatively early in my career and haven’t looked into all of my options for investment and retirement yet, I have been told that it’s never too early to start preparing. This book is for people like me or anyone looking to build long-term investments. Filled with advice from over 50 years as an investment professional, Tanous provides a clear guide to investment in this book and he explains it in a way that is clear and understandable for someone without much knowledge on the topic. I feel like I have a much better idea of what I can start doing now to create a better future for myself.

Peter J. Tanous is chairman of Lynx Investment Advisory and has over forty years of experience in finance and is the author of several books. The Pure Equity Plus Plan is his latest one and even though it is a short reading the content is very rich. This book offers advice on how to invest with a minimum effort and also provides light into the myths of surrounding risks, stock market gains, and others.
This was a solid book, Tanous goes straight to the source, and it's very clear explaining what to do and, most importantly, what not to do. The steps to follow are quite simple and it has even graphics and drawings to help the reader understand better. Even though it is oriented for people around 30-40 years old, I would highly recommend this to anyone that is seeking a new opportunity to learn more about investment.

Investing is one of those terrifying but yet incredibly necessary things to do in order to acquire financial freedom and security. In The Pure Equity Plus Plan by Peter J. Tanous, he thoroughly explains the difficulties and nuances of successful investment, and how to utilize his Pure Equity Plus system.
Well organized and laid out, the book is easy to follow and reference. A someone who thought they had a fair enough understanding of how investing works, I was surprised and intrigued to see how little I really knew and found the explanations in the book incredibly helpful.
An incredibly helpful no nonsense guide, The Pure Equity Plus Plan is a must read for anyone hoping to truly understand the world of investing and how to get it to work for them.

The Pure Equity Plus Plan: Your Path To A Multi-Million Dollar Retirement by Peter J. Tanous is a shorter read but full of valuable information. The author has over fifty years of experience as an investment professional. He has worked in this business long enough to see patterns, make mistakes, and know what to expect. This book is designed for people who are fifty years old or younger since it takes time for long-term investments to build.

I found The Pure Equity Plus Plan very informative as Peter J. Tanous explains both sides of the investment table. He talks about how investment professionals work to keep your investments safe and growing but at a slower rate. Plus, he explains what it is like when you invest for the long haul and have setbacks periodically. I found this book useful and motivating. It clarifies many of the things taught by other financial authors. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in investments.

A No-Frills Guide to Stock Market Wealth.
In this refreshing take on investment strategy, Tanous presents a streamlined approach to building wealth through equity markets. Rather than rehashing conventional wisdom, he introduces a systematic method that challenges traditional investment theories while remaining accessible to novice investors. The book's strength lies in its ability to demystify complex market concepts through historical examples and data-driven insights. Tanous skillfully breaks down the relationship between risk and reward, offering readers a practical framework that emphasizes long-term thinking over short-term market reactions.

While the premise of achieving multi-million dollar returns might seem ambitious, Tanous backs his methodology with compelling evidence and clear explanations. The Pure Equity Plus Plan itself stands out as a straightforward system that cuts through the noise of modern investment advice. However, some readers might find the simplified approach overshadows nuanced market dynamics. Nevertheless, this book serves as a valuable resource for those seeking to build wealth through equity investments without getting lost in complicated financial jargon. A solid guide for investors looking to implement a no-nonsense approach to wealth building through the stock market.

Great Investment Advice

I think the investment advice in this book is great! It’s also very exact and particular: if you read the entire book it will tell you exactly what to invest your money in, how to do it, and when to do it. However, I took 1-star off because even though this book is short and a quick read, I felt like it could have been even shorter (e.g. 15 pages). Having all the history and context is nice, but not essential. Ditto all of the personal anecdotes.

While there’s no guarantee that if you’re younger than 50 years old when you first start following this investment advice you will have more than a million dollars by the time you retire, the Pure Equity Plus Plan is probably the investment strategy that is most likely to make that happen.
