I think this book definitely has value. It’s a story worth telling and it’s a story worth hearing. However, the first part of the book leading up to the crux of her story seemed very disorganized. She would jump back and forth from her younger years to more recent years and would often include details that didn’t make sense because she hadn’t yet jumped back to explain it. It felt like I was reading a rough draft. That being said, there was a “disclaimer” on the back of the title page that warned that there was grammatical errors and other syntax issues as a result of pushing the book out to the shelves and not putting in extra time to edit as needed. There were times when this was a distraction. All in all, it’s a story that needs to be heard and I can respect the book for that alone!
