I have a love-hate relationship with virgin/billionaire books. I love to read them, but sometimes the insta-love connection pissed me off. It's just that there are times where it feels forced. And this was one of them.
And while I loved Jamie fucking Donovan, his relationship with Wylder was not my favorite. Well, more like I didn't like Wylder. To be honest, Jamie made the book for me. He was just the kind of hero I loved to read about—sexy, controlling, dominant, possessive. If it weren't for her, then I think I would have enjoyed the book more.
Let me say though that even with the issue I had with this story I do think it's one that a lot of people will enjoy. It was well written, sexy and with a hero worthy of some panty-melting moments. I will be definitely reading the next installment—I need to know what is going to happen next.

I like that this is a duet of books, and when you finish book 1 you can go straight to book 2 and get a conclusion...I hope! I have't read book 2 yet. LOL
What I loved about this book is Jamie, the male MC; what I hated about the book is the drama! I am NOT into drama for sure and never have been. I guess you could use DRAMA synonymously with WYLD, the female MC's name. If ever there was a drama queen in the history of books, she is definitely it!
Wyld is a virgin (for real) who quickly gives it up at the start of the book. It's all good. LOL The way she and Jamie met was hilarious to me, and I love some funnies in books! The make me LOL kind! What I DO love about her is her sarcasm. I don't know why but I love sarcastic characters and she takes the cake on this one.

Wild is the first part of the Wild duet. The main characters of the story are Jamie and Wyld. Jamie was my favorite, while Wyld has to put on a lot of effort to impress me in the second book. I wouldn't read Jamie's name in the right way. I kept reading Jamie Dornan instead of Jamie Donovan and even though this has nothing to do with my perspective of the character I wanted to mention it. He is book boyfriend material and he did nothing but prove that he was into his relationship with Wyld. He did everything a good boyfriend would do and I am in love with him. His lady is another story. One of her friends mentions that she is a drama queen and I couldn't agree more. Every single part that had drama started because of her, was continued by her and ended with simple logic or words. This is not the kind of heroine I want in my book. By accident, I read the last few sentences of the book when I was halfway through it and I knew that Wyld was going to blame Jamie and make a huge deal out of it without having all the facts or even thinking. I think that she just wanted to play the victim and that was it. I will explain more on my review for the second book. The three stars represent the average rating from these two characters (5 for Jamie, 1 for Wyld).

Book #1 in a new Duet, the Wild was my first Colet Abedi read. It was intense, charming, unique, sweet, sassy and sexy as hell ... with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting. I can't wait for more, book #2, please hurry.

Holy crap, did this story start with a bang. There are so many tropes in this story line and I seriously cannot get enough of it. I will warn you, this does have a cliffhanger ending. I usually put off reading cliffys until the series has been published in its entirety, but the blurb about this one sucked me in and there was no turning back.
Story Line: I wasn't kidding when I said there are quite a few different tropes in this story. For starters, Wyld is a v-card holder. Of course she looses that card within a couple chapters, but still. Then there's the whole sex club situation. Third, Hollywood mega hottie relationship. Jamie is seriously so delicious. And he can cook? OH EM GEE. Age gap? Yep these two are like 12 or 13 years apart. And lastly, there's the whole workplace romance going on - past and present. So seriously, pick your trope. You won't be disappointed. The story of how Wyld and Jamie meet is uber hot and slightly funny (after the fact). But Wyld has a super complicated upbringing between both of her parents so she's jaded - and understandably so. So their path to happily ever after (which, so help me God, if book two doesn't bring it, I will sob uncontrollably) isn't exactly a smooth one. Wyld pumps the breaks. Jamie pushes forward like the perfect ALPHA he is. Seriously. I am BEGGING for book 2 to be released early. Like tomorrow.
Interaction: Wyld's inner monologue is pure genius. And I say that because I swear to God, I've said some of the exact same things in my head before. Great minds, right? But in all seriousness, Wyld is snarky, sarcastic and strong willed. She's total girl power. And then there's Jamie. Sweet baby Jesus, how I love him. He's gorgeous, obviously. But he's also super, duper alpha with a side of sweet and cuddly. He's the total package, ladies. And Wyld knows that. But when you come from so much brokenness, it's hard to see light through that darkness. Thankfully, I think Jamie will shine through misconceptions and fear and turn out to be her perfect match.
Laundry: I'm going to put this out there right now. Wyld is my hero. She hangs onto that v-card for 22 years. Not really on purpose, but still. Then she decides enough is enough and loses it at a Hollywood laundry party. FOR SERIOUS, Y'ALL. Can we all just take a moment to give this woman a round of applause? And those scenes at the party? My toes and fingers are still tingling from how good they were. In fact, is it too soon for a re-read? Jamie is a man in charge and Wyld is a firecracker. It is no exaggeration when I say their laundry is moan worthy.
Depth: For me, the meat of this story comes from not only the budding relationship between our two love birds, but also the details of the Hollywood movie production scene. I loved reading the snippets of what their world is like. I truly appreciated learning a few ins and outs of what really goes on when a script is put out into the world. And Wyld's determination to make it in that world by working her way up from an intern? Seriously, she's Super Girl - smart, witty and has a super mega hot guy blowing up her phone. Where do I sign up? No really...

This book is an attention grabber and from the very first page I was whisked away. This is a very fast paced, chemistry packed serial, filled with likeable and enjoyable characters.
This book being the introduction, I’m looking forward to seeing how the cast and their relationships develop and grow beyond their enjoyable lust packed interactions.
There is some true angst and emotion bubbling beneath the surface within her past and I intrigued to see how she and Jamie overcome her doubts. I didn’t realise it was a serial and the cliff hanger ending was a a tad abrupt for me. Otherwise this was a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. I will defiantly be looking out for the next instalment.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. Where do i start? The beginning of this book was definitely my favorite part of the story. The undeniable connection they had and the dominance Jamie showed at the club was H-O-T! I’m not gonna lie I was a little bummed that he isn’t that guy in real life. I have a hard time seeing him as a playboy. I like Wylde too. I would like to know a little more backstory about her childhood to have the sympathy needed for her not so great childhood.
This book definitely was shorter then expected. I finished it so fast and was bummed when it ended and I realized there would be a second book. I feel like the end would have been better if we didn’t see Jamie’s POV about Stacy earlier in the book.
I know that every women fantasizes their men differently. While I prefer more of a bad boy who isn’t so nice, I can’t deny the appeal for someone like Jamie Donovan. I will definitely be waiting to see what happens next with Jamie and Wylde.

It is hard to give this book higher than 3 stars when I didn’t care for the heroine. I tried really hard to like Wyld and just couldn’t do it. I found her annoying and kind of a mess. I adored Jamie though.

A fast paced, age-gap romantic story with amazing characters and a story line that I really enjoyed!! Wild is a young woman with a mission and that is "to lose her virginity" so when she sees a sexy stranger in the sex club where best friend Kerri took her to complete this mission, everything turns a lot wild and sexy. It's only a one night stand, she thought but when this sexy stranger is Mr. Hollywood movie director Jamie Donovan and he WANTS her, everything becomes so much more interesting and steamy. I love Jamie's personality, there is no denying how much he wants Wilder, insecurities and all. He is there and shows her that she is the only woman he wants. There is some drama along the way but also some very entertaining ones. I listened to the audiobook thanks to Valentine PR and let me tell you the narrator did a fantastic job bringing the story to live.

Earlier this year, I read Colet Abedi’s novel, Tame, which was anything but. So when the chance came along to read Wild, I couldn’t resist the temptation.
In this case Wild refers to the main character, Wylder Buchanan, a young woman in her 20’s who is up and coming in the industry side of show business. When the book begins, she has recently broken up with her boyfriend after discovering he has cheated on her multiple times. Due to circumstances beyond her control in het love life, she’s remained a virgin. But she’s decided the time has finally come to change her status. When she confesses her thoughts to her best friend, Kerri secures them both an invitation to one of Hollywood’s most exclusive clubs, a place where Wylder is guaranteed to lose her virginity.
Wylder’s scheme plays out to perfection when she meets a gorgeous and anonymous man at the club. Their attraction is immediate and irresistible. Within moments of setting eyes on one another, they disappear into a private room for the rest of the night. The next day, Wylder returns to her usual life although thoughts of her night with the mysterious man are never far away. When she is sent on a work errand she unexpectedly comes face to face with one of Hollywood’s most famous directors and realizes he is the stranger from the club.
Once their mutual anonymities are stripped away, Wylder and Jamie Donovan confess that one night wasn’t enough for either of them. The two embark on a passionate affair, one that poses far more risk for her career than his. The author has a background in television and film herself, so the Hollywood setting of this novel comes across as authentic, which lends a deeper interest to a compelling if unconventional love story.

Book 2 is scheduled for release in just a few weeks and I for one am dying to see how Wyler and Jamie’s story will conclude. Colet Abedi is a new to me author, and I absolute LOVED her talented writing style that was seriously addictive, as I couldn't put Wild down until I devoured every last page. Wyld Buchanan, a young woman fresh out of college, who was an intern for the biggest movie studio in Hollywood, finds herself still a virgin, which irritated her to the point that she was going to get rid of it to a stranger. So off to a sexy party she went with her bestie, when she saw the perfect hot as hell stranger who would fit the bill perfectly, and spent a super insanely hot night getting rid of her innocence. She never thought she would see the man again, however, she would be wrong. See, that sexy stranger was Jamie Donovan, a huge Hollywood name, and she was thrown for a loop when an errand for her job landed her at his house, which started a wild ride for her. This story gripped me from the very beginning, especially since it started out with the sexy times lighting the sheets up from the get go between Wyld & Jamie, and it only get better from there. With the complications of the chase, the push & pull was frustrating in that hurts so good way, as Jamie wasn't going to let her go, since he was determined to make her his. And since she hasn't had the best luck with normal men, she was a bit gun shy at the beginning anyway. Add in some hilarious secondaries, and a few f-bomb worthy twists, you can see why it's such a fast paced & amazing read. Now, that ending left me hanging off the side of a cliff, so now I have added Ms. Abedi to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and hash tagged her #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE, which means obviously I NEED the conclusion of this Duet IMMEDIATELY! In the meantime, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

First time reading this author and she did not disappoint and now she has a new book fan!
Right from the start, she captures my attention. Her words flow effortlessly through the pages and that makes my “reader” heart ❤️ sing with happiness! I thoroughly enjoy a book with defined characters and a storyline that us readers can connect with. That’s what this book is, my fellow book lovers.
Wylder’s personality is full of spunk, sass, strength and beauty! She will have you laughing out loud, all while feeling her passion for what she loves and her reservations in trying to protect that organ that beats for love.
Mr. Jaime Donovan is freaking FANTASTIC! He will make your heart skip a beat! He emits many swoon sighs! He is your “All Alpha” I have total control kinda fella.
So when two individuals cross paths thinking it’s just a one night full of adventure, then actually walk the same path once again, only to learn that they live, breathe, sleep in the same world coincidentally causes FIREWORKS! Will those AMAZING sparks and chemistry they shared that one night be enough to hold onto or will the world of glam they both live in determine their destiny?
I could not get enough of these two and I can’t wait until book 2. We all swoon over the guy in the book, but Wylder is my favorite of all. That Kerri and Tony are quite the trip as well. Everyone needs a best friend like those two in their lives!

I am a new reader of Colet Abedi. The title of the book exactly fits it. It’s a WILD rollercoaster between Wyld Buchanan young women is recently out of college who lands an internship with large Hollywood studio. Wyld is a virgin and feels like she is the only left in a town like that. She is bound and determined to lose her virginity at a sex party she attends with her best friend. That is when she engages in an act with Jamie Donovan.
Little does she know that when she reencounters Jamie, she will be thrown through a loop. This will lead to a chase that captures the reader’s attention with humor, sass, and beauty from both Wild and Jamie.

Wild by Colet Abedi is book 1 in the The Wild Duet. Engrossing and oh so delightful I loved this story and was hooked until the very end. From the moment they met, Jamie and Wyld had such intense chemistry and you could feel the intensity in every scene thereafter. Jamie's down-to-earth nature and how easily he fit in with Wyld and her roommates and Wyld's honesty was what I loved about these two. They were just perfect for each other
This story was charming and sweet and steamy at times. The cliff-hanger ending will leave you wanting more and anxious for the next book. This page-turner was a fantastic read and I would highly recommend it.

This is the first book I've read from this author, but I liked the Hollywood premise so I wanted to check it out. The story isn't complex, really, but it's fun. I liked getting a glimpse into the world of a Hollywood intern and seeing Wyld handle certain situations in the book.
Another aspect I really enjoyed was the relationship between Wyld and her two friends/roomates. It had a comfortable, family feel with all the ups and downs that come with that.
As for the romance aspect, I enjoyed the dance these two engaged in and am curious to see how things end up after the events of book one. Overall, a fun, quick read.

First off if you don’t like Clift hangers wait for the duet to be complete.
I was sucked in right from the start. It’s a quick read (well was for me at least) but I couldn’t get enough.
Your going to fall in love with the characters even though you want to smack them around a bit. Though I say that you have to read this to decide for your self

When these two come together it should be a hot A$$ mess, but somehow it works...kind of sort of.

This is my first book by Colet Abedi and it definitely won't be my last.
I really enjoyed this story, was well written, fun and very sexy.
Loved the characters, especially Jamie, he just oozes sex and lust. He's definitely one to get the heart pounding.
Finished this book within a few hours and after that cliffhanger, am needing the second part. I just have to know what happens next.

Oh wow what a great read. But wait it ended ahhhh. I was sucked in from the beginning and just could not stop. I loved every second of it but I'm now left in a book hangover.

Started kinda slow for me I will say that Wylde and Jamie have beyond hot chemistry. Wylde seemed really wishy washy to me and it kinda bugged me. Jamie seems like a awesome dude who just wants her and to make her happy but Wylde has some major hang ups! Quick fun read.

When I started to read this book I was worried because I thought it was too kinky for me. The book starts in a sex club in Hollywood. Hedonism is the rule in this place!

I didn't realize going in that this was part 1 of a duet, so obviously it ends in a cliffhanger. I don't read books when I know going in that they're going to be a cliffhanger. The writing itself wasn't bad, and flowed fairly well. I wasn't a fan of Wyld for most of the story. She was rude to Jamie, even though he was never anything but nice to her. I understand that she had issues from her childhood, but that doesn't mean you have to take them out on everyone else. I liked Jamie, I thought he made a good H.

Consider me wowed, Colet Abedi is a “new to me” author, and she is definitely on my radar now, she is a gifted author with a wonderful writing style, the characters and storylines she created are interesting and original, once I started the book I did not want to stop, I was so in to the story that nothing else mattered except what was going to happen next. I adored both the two lead characters, Wylder “Wyld” Buchanan and Jamie Donovan, the secondary characters, Kerry and Tony, were great too. Wyld and Kerri met at college and become good friends. After graduation, they moved to L.A. and got another place to live together, with Tony moving in with them. The three are pursuing careers in Hollywood and are interning at the same movie studio. I loved the camaraderie amongst the friends and the shenanigans they got themselves into. Wyld is still a virgin and after dating a bunch of losers she just wants to give it up and Kerri, who comes from wealth and has connections, gets her into an exclusive, invitation only, sex club. Wild is determined to lose all her inhibitions and her virginity, and when she is propositioned by the handsomest of men, she does just that and spends a memorable night with him before slipping out while he slept, thinking she will never have to see him again. How wrong she was, not only will she see him again but she will see him often. Jamie was annoyed that she slipped out on him, he was not done with her and wanted more and when she turns up at his home he did not know what to think. I loved how everything played out for these two, it is a wonderfully plotted story that captivated my attention from start to end, there is a perfect balance of drama, low angst, some humor, heartfelt emotions and some hot sexy times. Colet Abedi, thank you for this fabulously entertaining story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what happens next and to watch Kerri get into Trouble.

She performs the voices for all the characters, does an amazing job covering both the male and female roles, gives each their own distinct sound which makes it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them in to her performance, having you feel every single one. Heather Firth is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to, her narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Love any Hollywood romance story, Jamie and Wylder story is the second couple of the series, I want to read the next book to the story. She is a virgin and he is a millionaire, so that’s a sweet sexy intense romance in the make.
